I heard this is the cruise to be on. I booked the early bird special. Does anyone know if there is a ship layout somewhere? I have a room number but no clue where it is. I wonder what deck is the best for pushing a stroller in circles.

I hope so too! I just sent e-mails to all her teachers explaining that she has to miss this whole week of school (good thing it is a short week). I am a bit worried about all the work she will have to make up. I don't want her to get stressed about it all or have a relapse from pushing herself too hard once she gets better. It is so hard to miss 5 days of school when they get this old.

Brianna would also get stressed. I hope Emily gets better real soon.!

Mary, I love this graphic!!!! Is there a way to get the lettering to standout more? It's great but IMO the "Double Dippin' with the Duck + date" gets hidden by the graphic. It is still way good though!!!!!!!!

BTW..this is Randy not Candy...the computer had her name signed on and I didn't notice...sorry sweetheart!!

Hey Melissa!

DH and I are both teachers too! DH teaches 5th grade and I teach 4th grade. How do you like working with high school students? It seems a bit scary to me!

Just keep following along with all the posts and join on in...you will really get to know people that way. That is what we did on our last cruise and it was great! We made some fabulous friends and had the best vacation!

Wow, elementary school, not that's my worst nightmare! I don't know how you guys stay with the same kids all day and not go crazy. I need a fresh audience every few hours. I like high school, you can be completely honest with the kids and they respect you for it. I could do without the daily dose of attitude though! I teach World History, and it's fascinating. I just love it!

Happy Sunday everyone! I'm going to try and get more active on this thread. I really want to try and get to know all of you before we cruise.

Yep, she is still that sick. The news we got from urgent care...pneumonia. She is now on antibiotics. We hope that this will help and that she will be getting better soon.

So sorry to hear your daughter is so sick. I hope that she has a quick recovery now that she has some meds to take. Poor thing. Sounds like she needs a marathon of Disney movies.... That always makes me feel better.

First - take a deep breath and say - I can do this.!!

I have found that cooking a turkey in a Reynolds Turkey Bag saves the juices, does not burn the turkey and keeps all the stuffing in semi place as I stuff it to the hilt!! I have been cooking thanksgiving dinner for 20 years - boy have I really been married that long - you know I love you honey - (he is a lurker and reads but does not post)




I am going into DD - 10 class room (Jessie) on Wednesday to make houses - should be fun with 120+ 5th graders!!!

I went to the grocery store this morning. Shopping for turkey day! It would be cheaper to eat out! OMG! I did get all the trimmings. Now what?!? They look great on my kitchen counter!

I'll admit it, I'm a turkey virgin. I've never cooked Thanksgiving dinner.

Couple of questions....

I googled turkey (stop laughing) and the TV Food Network is very helpful! One recipe says you put an apple, onions and celery in the turkey. I don't want to know what used to be in that hole. Do you take the skin off the apple? Slice the onions or shove it in whole? I know you peel them. How about the celery? I know enough to take it out of the Dole bag! But, do you chop it? *** is poultry seasoning for? HELP!!! SOS!!!

Oh, dear God! This is going to be hysterical! What was I thinking?? The lady in the grocery store looked at me sideways when I asked if you defrost a turkey in the bathtub! I've seen that on t.v. it must be true, everything on t.v. is true.

I bought 4 jars of gravy just in case. I hid them from DH. He thinks I can't do this. I will prove that man wrong, or we'll be eating Hungry Man frozen dinners!

Going way back to my days as a graphics desiger for tv, part of the problem is the font. You're trying to use a sans-seri font. A seri would work better, easier to read. As far as color, pick something on the opposite side of the color wheel based on the main color in your graphic. Hope this helps.
