I just booked this as well, Cat 9A, and this is the first time I have had a "GTY" status... what exactly will that mean for us??

If you've booked 9A GTY, you are guaranteed to get assigned at least a Cat 9A room. You could get assigned a room in a higher category as well, which would in essence be a *pixie dust* upgrade, since you'd be getting a more expensive room at the lower room price.

Rooms have generally been assigned 30-45 days out.

Ok, thanks, that makes sense... and of course some *pixie dust* would be great when the magical room selector comes across our ressie!! :) Anyway, we will be on board and joining the fun regardless! Can't wait!!!!

Elgerber,

We're 6b aft too, 6690. Where are you?

1 floor up, 7191 and 7192, nice to get the cat 11 right next door to our 6, I was surprised it was still open, since there are only 2 up there.

I can't wait for the view!!

I managed to change our room this morning a little after 7am from an 11C to a cat 10A on deck 6 . Will be very happy to have the split bath! ;)

Count me in!! :goodvibes

Hubby(Tim) and I will be joining you all. Cat 11C Room 2025 This will be our 2nd cruise. First was a 7 night eastern 3 years ago. Can't wait for the new ship and to see all the changes to Castaway Cay!

Welcome!

We're right across from you in 2028! :thumbsup2

We're booked

Me (Jakki), DH (Steve), DS who will be 14 and DD who will be 13. We're in a 8a on deck 6 :dance3:

Hi everyone. New to this board (2nd post). We booked this cruise today. Third Disney cruise for our family (we've done Western and Eastern Caribbean before). We're in a category 6a--room 10664 (back of the ship). Anyone have any thoughts about being on the back of the ship? It seems convenient to get to the kids' pools and elevators, but my DH is concerend we might not see anything off the balcony if we're in the back. Probably overthinking this! Can't wait. Wish it were next summer.

I booked a 6b back there, because I thought it would be a great view from back there. Just my opinion though.

So you're the one! That's one of the 2 11C rooms I was looking for! (non-connecting ones). Great deal!

Hey we are on this one too!

I must apologize if I do not post much from now and until mid-December as we have a family reunion trip to WDW very soon. I feel as if I have ten thousand things to do. We leave in 18 days and I was little miffed with Disney making me plan our next trip before we came back from this one. :rotfl:

Have three staterooms, category 11B, in row on deck 7. This is DH and I's third cruise, DS 2nd, and youngest DS first.

MY BIL And SIL are in one of the rooms and this is their second, their son and his family are in the other, this is their first cruise.

HOPEFULLY - things stay as planned!!

My first choice was the back of the ship. When I booked every cabin was open, I was the first one! Took a 6b.

I think all the way aft will be wonderful. We always book aft for the location, but being on the butt of the ship you can sit and watch the world fade away. How nice!

I wasn't paying attention before and didn't realize these have solid wall verandahs. Are you concerned about that? I am not sure I can do anything now anyway, since I need to be near an 11b, but I'm a little sad about the soild wall.

Yes, I know it is a solid wall verandah. We've had glass, solid, secret, nav and a porthole. Solid wall doesn't bother me one bit.

DH loves the solid wall, he can walk out on deck and catch some fresh air (if you know what I mean):rotfl2::rotfl2:

ROFL!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm glad to hear it doesn't bother you. I don't know if it bothes me or not LOL. It may not matter now anyway, I'm just happy to be booked!!!!!!!!!!

I've changed my screen name. Since I lost my job I'm tired of being my old user name. Time for something new...

TVEPFOX is now LuvsBlueDiamonds

Yeah, go figure, what a great screen name for me. For those of you who are getting to know me I LOVE blue diamonds. Ask DH, I collect them!!

I have to start all over with posts and threads, but I don't care. Hopefully this name will bring me good luck and maybe a few new gems!

We're booked. Cat. 5A, 2A and 1C, $3282.60 (no ins/transfers). Right now, we're in room 10056, but I asked my TA to switch us to the other side of the ship so we can be under the spa. That just seems like it would be nice and quiet.

This will be our last vacation before I have to start planning around school. My daughter will start school the Monday after the cruise. *sob* My baby! She's just 3 now, so its weird to think of school schedules at this point! Just gives us more reason to relish our first Dream sailing.
