My son too will be 7 1/2 for this cruise as well. Maybe we can do a DIS-board meet the day we board before the lifeboat drill. We've done this in the past on our Magic cruises in the Promenade lounge and it's worked out well to meet up with everyone.....just a thought.

I have to admit that this is the first summer cruise we've ever booked, and I'm already noticing a much different, perhaps more vibrant, tone to the cruise than some of the others I've been on. It's great to see the large number of kids on this cruise just on the dis alone. I guess since we've always cruised during the school year, the number of kids has been generally lower.

We've also done DIS meets on the ship generally at 3pm in the Promenade lounge on embarkation day. Plus bracelets and t-shirt designs, and other fund ways to identify your fellow DISers! Has anyone come up with a name yet??

Hi Winnyis! I thought I saw a couple of us Hallowonders here, I think SNicksed was on our cruise too! My kids would love to do a kids chat area if someone knows how to do that. Also if someone could make a list of everyone on here that would be cool too. I'm just not that computer savvy to be able to do those things! My kids didn't really get into the kids clubs that much on the last cruise but I'm hopeful that they will want to go there on this cruise. Maybe if they were chatting with other kids before the cruise that would help.

Yes!!! We just came off the 10/29 HalloWonder cruise, too! That was a great cruise with perfect weather!

Our DS Ryan will 12 and 3/4 when we sail. He wasn't into the lab much either. I think getting to know other kids ahead of time would help.

This is going to be a fun time leading up to this cruise!

I know I wonder too. Just hope we can get to CC.....It was nice on our last cruise to have a surprise "DD."

I can't create a website, but I could create a Facebook group that the kids could use. We could set it up so an admin would need to approve who joins, and lock it down, so anyone that is not a member of the group could not view any of the info.

I don't know how comfortable I am having my son post info here on the boards, (although I know it should be okay, i am just never sure who is lurking) and I would feel better with a much more controlled page.

If enough are interested, I will happily get it set up, and then anyone that wants their kids involved, can send me a PM, and I would know who to approve on Facebook as a group member. Anyone who hasn't sent me a PM first on this board, would not be approved to join the group on Facebook. Other parents would be welcome to join, if you want to monitor your kid's conversations.

the only thing I guess some people might be uncomfortable with would be full names are used on Facebook, although you could create a "screen" name instead of using full name.

If I am overthinking this, and everyone is okay with a kids only thread here on the disboard, please say so!

That is soo funny!!! My kids have also called it!!!! My youngest, now 6, insist that he is sleeping there!!! The oldest is calling the top bunk!! just to join in the fun my husband and I called the bed!!!!

That is good! I know the girls haven't thought of sleeping there, I'll have to throw that idea in the mix and see what they say! I love that you and your DH called the bed!
