4-5 hours left to go with this storm... 18" on the ground already.... dreaming of warmer, sunnier days ahead....

We had something similar last week - no fun! But I hope for you that it will be over SOON!!!

final snowfall here - 24". Second biggest storm EVER here. Brutal - no other word to describe.

Yeah - posted this back after our December storm.... this new storm seems to be over... 27 friggin' inches of snow!!! I have other words to describe this one besides brutal, but I'd get my butt kicked off the DIS!!

Off to play in the snow now. Despite the massive inconvenience - there is still a fun element to a big snowstorm!!

We are actually having some very mild weather (26°). I just got in from running and did not even wear a coat today! I will enjoy it while I can before we get cold again.

Jen, did you see we have a possible 10 inches coming? Not quite their 26, but 10 inches, yuck! And ours unfortunately lasts a lot longer LOL. And we still have to go on with life as normal.

Erika - I knew we were suppose to get snow...I just wasn't going to look to see how much. I am sick of winter and know that we still have a long amount of it left.

I will hope that the snow does not start until after I finish my new run tomorrow. DH and I will be starting week 5 of the couch to 5K program and we have to increase our run time again tomorrow. Even though we have the treadmill, I would much rather be outside running.

Here is to hoping that the weathermen are wrong about our snow...maybe the front will stall out some place other than MN!

I don't think it's going to start until evening tomorrow. I hope not, I have to drive to Edina for a birthday party tomorrow. The Super Bowl party tomorrow at least we are walking to LOL.

No running outdoors for me today (final snow amount on the news was 28.5" - ). It usually doesn't get too cold here to deter me from running outdoors, but the snow will force me back to the treadmill for a bit.

Hi all! It's been so long since I've checked in that I'm not even going to try to back and read all your posts. I hope all is well with everyone and you're surviving winter. Life's been busy here - I've been having some health issues. Don't want to say much now as I'm still having tests done. I was getting ready to take an online course but it my have to wait now as there's not enough time and attention to devote to it.

Well, that announcement about the new stuff on the ship was exciting. Mini-golf anyone? I'm looking forward to swimming up and getting a drink. Yummmm!! Just wanted to pop in and say hi.

The snow is missing us AGAIN...thank goodness! It is a pain to shovel, but very pretty...and so much fun for the kids!

We got dumped on too... I don't know how much we got, I'll have to send the kids out tomarrow with a yardstick, it was definately over 2 feet. I'm the luckiest girl in our neighborhood, my brother in laws came over with their snow blower and shovels and got rid of the snow on my driveway. I was sitting on the couch watching tv when I heard a strange noise outside, imagine my suprise to see 4 guys in my driveway getting rid of the snow! If my hubby finally does make it home from work tonight I think I'll tell him I shoveled all day!

Sorry for those getting dumped on. At least it is the weekend. The weather person said it is hitting the midatlantic states because of El Nino. I guess if you love winter sports this is for you.

Dd did a cross country ski kids race today. She loved it.

Jen and Erika--more snow our way just in time for Monday commute--urgh! I have been late to work this year more than ever it seems.

Kristen--Soak up that sun and weather for us. How are the crowds?

Had some quiet time today so I did our taxes. I have a couple of questions, but I am almost done--yeah!

Hi! Welcome to our fun cruise thread!! I think we might just fill the ship!!!

As for us, the snow missed us too - thankfully!! (hopefully I haven't jinxed us with that comment. ) Still pretty chilly - in the mid teens. No runing outside for me yet.Especially since I forgot my iPod at work.
We're having a fun family Superbowl party tonight - just us and the kids. None of our teams are in it this year so I'm torn between rooting for the underdog Saints versus rooting for Peyton Manning. I just hope it will be a good game. Looking forward to some fun commercials too - in Iraq, wwe could get the game but NO commercials (well, at least not the commercials that the US got to see - we saw alot of commercials for DoD matters - but no Bud Bowl, Clydesdales, etc etc! Kind of different..). So ever since I've been home, I look forward to the commercials!! We probably won't make it til the end of the game (and the kids definitely won't) - I wish the game started earlier so that those of us on the East coast could watch the whole thing. Votes for changing it to Superbowl Saturday, anyone?????
Today's a cleaning and work day here today. And, if possible, I'll try to squeee in some exercising too...

Today will be busy...Emily needs new tap shoes, need some groceries, lots of laundry to get done and I have to work on grades.

I am dreading the snow that will start late tonight and am totally sick of the fact that we never get snow days! Enough about winter though...

It's 21 and only mildly windy up here, the front must be coming from your direction.

I am making buffalo chicken dip for a superbowl party we are going to tonight, must be a buffalo chicken kinda day!!

First we have a birthday party for my niece, turning 5, at 11 am. Busy day!

Hi all, I guess it is better that we get our snow on Fridays. I don't know why that is. We are just digging out from yesterday's snow and we are supposed to get more on Tuesday. I don't think our kids are going to go to school next week if we get any signifigant snow Tues. Here's some snow pictures from Maryland and I think we got the least of it!
