Here is a little "detail" or loose end that we need to take care of this week....

While we were up north, DH was swimming. He was running down the dock and then jumped into the lake. The lake at the end of the dock was TOTAL MUCK! Ben has his Disney Crocs on (complete with Disney jibitz) and one shoe got sucked into the MUCK and we could not find it. So, we are headed home with only ONE shoe and missing his jibitz. We will now need to go to the MOA to buy new Crocs and I will hope they have some Disney jibitz in stock.

We had a similar situation with the brand new bathing suit I bought my DD for the cruise. I have not let her wear it all summer, but this past week I let her take it to the beach with us. Well, it now has all these tiny brown dots/stains all over it from the beach. I have tried several times but cant get them out. So now I have to hunt stores, which probably have no good bathing suits left, for a new one. And I need the one with a shirt top since she is only 3 and I need to protect her as much as I can from the sun.

Try Sears in the Lands End department, they had alot of the swim shirts and suits there for the kids last week and they were on sale too.

Since I am sitting in traffic, I might as well work on our website. Did I see in a post that people are meeting on the ship at 2:00 (before the cabin tour)? I will add that to our site if it is correct.

I also know that I need to update all the great information from Brenda about the cabin tour and will work on that as well.

Any other meets or anything that I need to add?

Also going to put together my update to send to Marco and Laura. I have the note about the FE list #1 cabin updates, the DIS group photo and a bit about the port arrival information. If anyone can think of anything else they have missed, let me know because I won't actually send it until late tonight or tomorrow morning.

We should be getting an email from Carol tonight about her surprise!!

The whole family just watched!! Really getting excited here!

Totally off topic.... one of the reasons I love the month of August is coming home and pulling a vine-ripened tomato out of our garden and having a delicious treat!

Love fresh veggies, my parents brought over lettuce and fresh cucumbers yesterday!! YUM!! YUM!!

I'm bummed because the flowers that I bought in Hawaii only bloom once a year and they will be in full bloom while I'm gone. Last summer my daughter knocked the buds off right before it was going to bloom so I haven't seen this stupid plant bloom in 2 years. Love fresh tomatoes tho... and we have several of those.

What type of flowers are they? My Cali-Lillies will bloom too while we are gone...

We finally made it home!

It was a great weekend with my family but it is good to be out of the traffic and at home! Now we will maybe eat a bit and then head to bed for a quiet night after a long weekend with my crazy cousins!

Kristin - I will let you know about if I want you to look for jibitz for me. We will hope the MOA has some at the Crocs store. Thanks for the offer! Totally crazy that we came home with only one shoe and it totally is a bummer that it was the one with all the jibitz that disappeared.

Well, nothing is in a suitcase, but all clothes are selected and ready to go. That is huge step forward for me LOL! I hope to have them all in bags before Friday. I hate stressing over suitcases the night before. Matthew has to work until 10 or 11 the night before we leave too.

That sounds wonderful right now! Trying to relax after a weekend of watching our 2 grandchildren - 5yr old and 21 month old while trying to clean the house and gather things for packing. Bad timing to be asked to babysit, but, oh well.... it was worth it. DD and her DH are leaving for a cruise on Thursday this week out of Baltimore - going to New England and Canada, so the other grandparents will be watching the kids for 9 nights. I guess I'm lucky with only 1.

I know the feeling. DS11 went out to the garden right before dinner and came in with 10 tomatoes. I am anxiously waiting for our 1st cantaloupe to ripen and really hope it is in the next few days, otherwise, my neighbors get to eat it and the one right behind it.

Hi all!! I was able to see the Dream in port this morning on the webcam, but I had to work and forgot to go on and watch it leave Oh well. Only one more day of work left until my vacation starts!! Yeah!!

this is not vacation related news, but it was exciting....For those of you that are not aware of what I do for a living, I am a Labor and Delivery nurse and I was working today and it was a nice quite day (very rare these days), suddenly there is an overhead page and gives the code that we use for an emergency delivery...we all look puzzled because, there is no one on the labor floor about to deliver, then they give the location of the code...main lobby entrance!! A lovely patient didn't make it to the floor, but delivered a very healthy baby boy in the backseat of her sister's car, her sister's brand new car! Two of my fellow nurses had been down at the gift shop for a candy run, we were a little bored and hungry, when this occured and were able to assist the patient with the delivery!! It was so great!! These are the days I LOVE what I do!!
