August 16, 2011, Disney Dream - Part 4

Me too!!!

I just checked CI&S website and the park and cruise $$ was $20 cheaper than the price I had. I called and they adjusted my rate!!!:woohoo::woohoo:

Kristin, Don't worry! You won't be the only one with lots of luggage!! I need to learn how to pack better....oh wait, maybe my new magic packing cubes will help!!!! LOL!!!!:rotfl2::rotfl::rotfl::lmao:

I just checked the rates at CI&S and it is only $7 cheaper than our rate. I'm not sure if it is worth calling and getting it lowered?

@ Jeff: Looking forward to more fun photo moments... can't wait to see you and Missy and your girls.:thumbsup2

@Kristin: okay, so how many bags are you taking? Tee hee! I am the consummate over packer when it comes to all trips disney related so if you need someone to commiserate with, I'm right there with you!:rolleyes1

@Jen: Thanks again for doing those personalized magnet images for me. I have a date with my laminator tomorrow!:)

@everyone else: if you see me on the ship do come over and say hi. I love putting names (real and dis) with faces!:cool2:

Beth

Hi everyone! I mostly just read all the post, but was getting inspired to start getting stuff ready for the cruise. (as many of you have already started) And my dryer just died today:scared1:The new dryer is to be delivered Thurs. the eleventh. :headache:
So we will be the ones wearing the same clothes or in the laundry room doing wash.:confused3 lol
Oh well at least the cruise is almost here.:cool1:
Aww, soo sorry to hear about your dryer that stinks!!

I thought the packing cubes would help me they did BUT I still have lots of bags!! Good thing, I am allowed to bring 8 bags for free on SW!! The packing cubes are GREAT!!

Beth, I am begining to feel embarassed about how many I have...LOL!! I have one that just has my rolling cooler in it and then I will use the rolling cooler and the empty suitcase for some water and any drinks that we can't fit into the rolling cooler!!

My favorite item at the airport is the gizmo you put a couple of dollars into and then lo and behold you get a wheeled cart for helping you move your luggage from point A to point B. Steve always says we won't need one (or two) but he is ALWAYS wrong. I think he is secretly glad that I have the dollar bills ready for this!:laughing::laughing:

Finished up post of the packing this afternoon/evening....How many suitcases does everyone have or plan on bringing??

:scared1::scared1:I am afraid to say how many we have!!:scared1::scared1:

We have three large rolling duffles... I also tucked a small foldable Disneyland suticase inside in case we buy some stuff ;) ....

How do you get 8 bags too and from? That is my biggest issue. I wouldn't even mind paying fees, but I can only get so many in my car and the rental car!

Is anyone taking a garment bag? We have one, but it's not wheeled and it's soft sided. Any idea if it would survive the baggage compartment? Its soft sided, but very heavy duty.

My dh and son will probably ride all the coasters at Universal, I think dd and I will pass on the Hulk and the Dragon one. A lot will depend on how we feel after FJ.

Packing, hahahahaha I too have stuff stacked and hanging all over the house. I would like to get a lot of it done on Sunday since its the only day I don't have solid plans. I do not want to do it all Friday night. That was wayyyyyy to stressful last time! And I have no idea how my work week will be next week.

I had the brilliant idea today to just buy sunscreen after we land on Saturday, rather than pack it, as that stuff is so darn heavy!

Tomorrow Alexa and I are going to see Hairspray live onstage at a local dinner theater. We are very excited, I bought the tickets a full year ago!

A really great improvement on the Dream is that you can stick the luggage bags underneath the elevated bed. On the Halloween Magic we had to scrunch them under -- I think we even had to lift the mattress up to store some things underneath. Not so on the Dream; it sure seemed that there were more drawers and spaces for things to go into on the new ship...at least that was my impression of our cruise in May. So how is that for justifying bringing more stuff?!!:rotfl:

Just a quick CIAO from WDW!

DGH had to connect to Internet for work, and I took the opportunity to steal a few seconds of connection !

Got a free upgrade at AKL ! we see lot of animals. Weather is very hot, be prepared when you arrive.
Ciao to all !
Laura :goodvibes

Hi Laura & Marco!

Evening all.

To those leaving soon - safe travels

Laura - glad to hear you arrived safely.

Only 6 more days and we leave. :cool1:

Looking forward to our first stay at OKW.

OKW - still our favorite :) Enjoy!

I just realized I never ordered one of those darn vinylmations to have signed!

Well heading to the port tomorrow for almost back-to-back part one...leaving Sunday...will see if I can comment on some of the things I read here from the ship this week.

I agree about Hulk and Dragon...have to see how I feel after FJ. I told DH it was good that we were staying on site...just in case....I need to lie down or something!! :rotfl2:

I actually only have seven bags....LOL!! Getting them to and from is not a real issue since we take our van to the airport..

Enjoy, the show!!
