August 16, 2011, Disney Dream - Part 4

I think you still need it....I will have a bunch I can give out at Carol's surprise for all of us!!

Great! Thank you!

Hello all. Happy Monday!!
I hope everyone is having a great day!!
I am going to continue posting on part 3 until we reach 250 so they can close it down. I just hope I won't be talking to myself!!:lmao::lmao:

I'll be there chatting too!

It won't be just you talking to yourself Candy! I will be there so you and I can chat with one another until we reach 250!

We can do it! :surfweb:

There's a whole thread about this on the main boards. Some people are pretty creative!

That is what got us thinking about it! I would have never thought of it before reading what everyone else was having them announce. Pretty funny though!

Since I spent so much time posting on part 3, I think I need to get busy and get stuff done around here!! Thanks for the chat everyone!!

I got a reply back from DCL about a private champagne tasting and they said no go because you have to reserve stuff a month in advance and our cruise is only 15 days away. Bummer! I think I'm going to go with the mixology instead of the champagne tasting because I really like mixed drinks and the class is a bit later so we can enjoy Nassau for a little longer. I really wanted to try Pink but I guess I can always go get a glass at the bar.

I'll meet you at Pink anytime for a glass!!!!!!!

hey all, found my way over here as well...
We were at our cabin for the weekend - it was a long weekend here in Alberta! When Jim and I were sitting at the lake watching the kids play we thought.. nice next week we will be sitting in Florida watching the kids play in the pool of the house we rented!

We leave on Saturday... will start thinking about packing tomorrow or Wednesday...

Only 5 days to go!

Not a DCL question, but since many of you have spent tons of time at WDW while I am a DLR person... I thought I would ask here...

While we are at the rented house pre cruise, we are hoping to go to either Blizzard beach or Typhoon Lagoon. Thoughts about which is better, tips on when/etc to go...

We are thinking either the Sunday or Monday prior to boarding the cruise is when we will go...

Thanks!

Both are totally different parks, but we like TL a little better because we like to snorkel with the sharks although the water is COLD! We also like the lazy river at TL a little better too, they don't have freezing cold snow melt off comming off the mountain to drip on you. You will have a blast at which ever one you go to they both have great themes! Have you looked at the park maps for each to see if one has the types of rides you like better?

Not sure how, but Mario and I had NO idea that there were real fish in there until we were IN the water! :rotfl2:

Picture us easing into the water thinking it was awfully cold and listening to the CM as he ran through his instructions ending w/ "please don't touch the fish!" FISH???:lmao:

Ok, I'm caught up from Part 3. See, you guys made it after I left. DD HAS CONTACTS!! She said they're a little itchy but we go back on Friday for a re-check. Now that she can see she had to point out to me that my kitchen chandelier needs dusting :rotfl2:

The prints you like (Sandbuckets, M&M at Poly) are by David Doss. I have a few of them myself and can't wait to get the cruise specific ones (he's got two). Here's one, I couldn't find a clean copy:

I might have to get some of those too! What kind of frame do you have yours in? I need to frame mine!

That's so funny! Why did you think you were putting on the snorkel gear? Did you freak out when they started talking about the sharks?

If the mixology class is after 3 pm when we get back from our Segway tour count me in. I went to one on the 7 day (free, part of the Art of Entertaining series) and they'd ask trivia questions and I won two-the prize was a full sized drink, in addition to the tasting glasses of demo drinks. Lets just say I was swaying a bit with the ship when I left (and it was before noon!)

If you do a meet at Pink I'd be happy to join you there too, want to try their special champagne (although it's $20 a glass :scared1:) but it's vacation.

I think the mixology class is at 3:30 so you might be cutting it close. If you miss the first couple of drinks I'll make sure they don't go to waste. ;)
