Bethany is 10yo and went for a contacts appointment earlier this summer. It didn't go well!

They won't write out the prescription for her until she can show them that she can put them in/take them out...and we aren't there yet.

So she will be wearing her glasses for the trip...with no sunglasses.

I knew it was early, but I thought I would try...if we hadn't tried, we wouldn't know she wasn't ready.

I've been wearing contacts for close to 30 years. LOVE THEM!

Totally worth the try. Hopefully she will be ready soon.

I wore contacts for years and finally had lasik done and LOVE that! It is so great not to wear contacts or glasses any more!

That is a cute graphic-I haven't seen it before. I printed off a bunch of images for magnets over the weekend. Then I remembered that this time we have 2 cabins so I need to make extra sets of porthole ears too. Still need to work on those.

But first I really need to finish my FE gifts so I can mail them out tomorrow. Making/assembling part is done; now need to bag and tag :rotfl2:

I totally forgot about the second set of porthole ears! Glad you put that in here or my kids would have been so sad!

I know what you mean! I really need to get busy on my house! I have two rooms set up for packing. The front guest bedroom is for camp stuff that is a week away!:scared1: And the kids guest room is for the cruise stuff, which I have to have ready at the same time!!

Stay safe in those storms!!

As you can tell by my posts, I am avoiding the rest of my cleaning! :rotfl2:

I should work on the packing room but we are still pulling so much in and out of the piles that it feels hopeless to try and get it in control right now.

Good luck with all your packing!

Must be another Paul Anderson-pretty common name I would suppose. One of our friends, Bill Gallagher, has the same problem.

That is what we are laughing about....Paul Anderson is such a common name and can you imagine how many people they are screening with just that name!

It would definitely take us more than the 18hrs. We have friend in Cincinnati that we drive out to visit a couple of times a year. The drive is about 10hrs and we tried to drive overnight ONCE. It was horrible.

I just can't drive during overnight drives. Either my contacts dry out making me more sleepy or my glasses have a glare on them (even w/ no glare coating) and that makes me sleepy. Better that we are able to take the AutoTrain! :thumbsup2

I always take the middle of the night shift. I am always really good on the way down to FL....DH has to get up and help out on the way home though.

5 more pages to go...I have to leave now to take DD to DR so I'll check back and let you know how it went. Maybe I'll return to a closed Part 3.

We are doing our best! :lmao:

I know, it's so scary!! The Dr asked how old I was, and when I told her she said I am young to be having cataracts. She said these particular ones are fast growing, so I will probably need surgery in the near future!:scared1:

I am not ready for this!!

Just take care of your eyes! I am not ready for all that comes with our "getting older" either. I really don't feel this old and that makes it even harder! LOL!

We are leaving home 2pm on the wednesday and have a 3 hour drive to where Caleb is staying.

We will leave there at 6pm and have a 2 hr drive to the airport? We r staying at a hotel next to the airport.

In the morning we checkin at 8 am and our flight is at 11am. Our flight takes 9 hrs once through immigration we have a town car awaiting us!!! :flower3:

Wow! I thought my travel day was long! You are going to be so exhausted!

I think WDW will stress me out (running around in HOT with cranky kids makes mommy cranky), so the ship should be a welcome reprieve.

WDW rarely stresses me out....I love to be that hot. I love all of the smells and rides and Disney magic!

I know the cruise will be the same once I actually get on board and we get started. :cloud9:

Feel free to copy. I copied it from somewhere. I may add writing to it. I have a few very cute ones.

Thanks for sharing! I should post a few that I have found.

:rolleyes1

You only have one cabin listed in the FE list though. I didn't plan on two cabin doors! :guilty:

Don't worry about it! I haven't listed the two really because I don't want people to do extra for ONE family just because we have two doors. Still, I have to decorate them both!

I've been thinking about the non metal concierge doors.

Do you think suction cups would work on them? :confused3

Hmmm...that might be an interesting thing to try. You could get a set of suction cups and see if they work on different textures in your house.

Hmm... and Gina has two as well? Maybe I need to make a few more?

Who else on FE List 1 has two cabins??

Christine - Seriously do not feel like you need to make more. Like I posted, we are ONE family....so one is more then enough.

With our kids being older, it only cost us a bit more to get 2 staterooms because we are now 4 adults. :confused3 I am looking forward to having more room to spread out though because the kids are getting so much bigger and it will be great to have the separate rooms.

Yes, I agree with Jen...just get a gift for one room. It could end up being costly. That's why we divided up the groups, to help keep the cost down.

Here is an image that I found that I plan on playing with a bit and then adding some words to:

It has a bad reflection in it because I think someone just took a photo of a piece of art but I can fix that and thought it was fun!

Okay... one of the things I only have 24 of ...but one of the others I have already made a bunch extra so some I'll do two and some will be one.

cool photo, looks like a scene from a cabana SB:goodvibes

Candy - What do you think about personalizing this one for Randy? I always think of him when I see this one because of his bouncing Donald!

I have skimmed through all of this, as I am having irritating work issues right now, but this caught me eye. We do have two rooms, but I only have 1 listed on the FE, I didn't want people to think they had to give us double stuff.

I love this one too Jen!!! Can I borrow it??

Hey Candy - Let me know if you want me to clean up a copy and personalize it for you as well. You are welcome to take and borrow this as is but I was thinking since I am already going to be working on the photo....I could make it better for you guys as well! Just let me know! :thumbsup2
