Thanks for the info! Any idea how I contact Vero directly (either email or phone)? I've only ever contacted Member Services. I'd like to find out the rental costs as well as the activities list.

To LISA :

Thankyou so much for updating our FE DECK MAP !!! :worship:

See you on the Dream !!!
We are on same deck , I see !!!!

Ciao !!! PM sent !!! laura

Has anyone here been to Vero BR before? Do you know what kind of "beach supplies" (i.e. chairs, umbrellas, etc.) are available for use? Are they hard to get? I'm trying to figure out what we need to bring/buy for Vero. Whatever it is, we'd have to bring it with us on the cruise (though we could leave it with my aunt after the cruise and not bring it home). I'm also wondering how I can find out what activities they have each day. Any info you could direct me to would be greatly appreciated!

One last question-- is anyone doing the segway excursion on Nassau?

Two weeks from today we'll be in Orlando getting ready to drive down to Vero! :cool1:

If I remember correctly they do have chairs/umbrellas for rent on the beach but they are pricey. I want to think $28/day for umbrella and 2 chairs. I think last time we bought 2 chairs from the store and then left them there. It was still cheaper then renting for more than 1 day.
That is going to be our plan this year as well.

You could call the resort directly. Last time we went my parents drove down so we had them bring our chairs, etc. But I know they have them that you can rent.

Here is there contact information:

Can't wait for our VB meet!!:cool1::banana:

Is anyone else bringing alcohol on board? I am trying to find a good mixed drink to bring with us. Last cruise we drank Bahama Mama's. I mixed the variuos rums ahead of time into one bottle. We also brought the mini cans of Dole Orange/Pineapple just for mixers. It worked out perfectly. This cruise I would like to try something different and am looking for ideas for a tropical drink that would be easy to bring the stuff needed to mix them on board.

I know Jen has a good beer margarita recipe.

I like the Jose Cuervo light margarita mix that is all pre-mixed it is only 100 calories. Then we have been adding a splash of cranberry juice. Or I have done the same thing with the skinny girl margarita mix..Also it is good if you throw in a splash of Bahama Mama mix. I think we will be bringing the Jose Cuervo mix with us onboard!!

Morning Everyone! I only have a few minutes before I have to pack it all up and head out to a weekend with the girls! It is suppose to be hot and sunny here today so being out on the lake should be wonderful.

It sounds like everyone is so busy as we head to the last days at home. I know that I am looking at our calendar and feeling like there is so much to cram in...I just have to remember it is only 16 days and it will soon be time to relax!

Yep, bringing alcohol on board. I am planning on at least one bottle of wine. DH is planning on beer. We will also be making beer margaritas. They are really easy. We have packed a plastic pitcher for mixing in as well as crystal lite lemonade packets. Here is how I make the:

Lemonade packet - normally you would add a bunch of water to make lemonade. Instead, I fill the pitcher about 1/4 with water. It is suppose to be made from frozen concentrate but I make it from the dry packet all the time and it works great!

Add 1 can of sprite - we will get pop from the drink station and put in about a can worth.

Add 1 can of beer - Corona works the best

Add 1 cup of tequila

So we will need to pick up a bottle of tequila and the beer. It is simple to make and tastes incredible!

I am still amazed you can drink that light margarita mix! We absolutely hated it...too bad I opened mine because I would bring it with and give it to you! It probably is not that bad, I just don't like the taste of tequila and I think that mix does not mask it enough for me. I like my drinks pretty sweet.

Alright, time to pack it up! Have a great weekend everyone!

Hi Jen,

Have a SUPER TRIP!! Look forward to chatting with you when you get home!!

The girls got the picture Emily drew them they loved it!!:wizard::wizard:

There's a thread somewhere on the cruise board that has mixed drinks that people have brought on board. One of the ones I tried and like is mixing coconut rum with pink lemonade. It is actually not too bad.

We will be bringing beer for dh, and a bottle of 2 of wine for me. We will still buy some drinks on board, like some champagne and some tropical drinks! I can't stand light margarita mix either. For me, it's just cuz I can totally taste the artificial sweetners in it. I wish I like them, cuz I would love to skip all the calories!
We have another busy weekend, and I am starting to panic about getting it all done in time!!!

The Skinny Girl Margarittas actually do not have any artificial sweetners in it it has Agave Nector. I have to say I wish it tasted a bit better but the calories is what does it for me.....LOL!!!

Hi all, hope you are having a good weekend.

I'm exhausted as dh and I have just got back after doing 'his' cruise shopping

Im pleased to say he got all he needed :lmao:

Hello all!!
I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend! It is starting to get pretty crazy here. I am having a hard time sleeping with everything I have to worry about! I have a long list of things to do before I leave for girls camp (try to get all the medical forms, print a bunch of stuff out, buy gifts for the cooks, plan games and a team building activity pack everything including containers full of stuff to bring up there, etc), plus trying to get things ready for the cruise. I am literally just going to have hours to get ready to go when I get back. I will probably get home Sat. at around 2-3pm, do laundry and make sure I have everything packed, and then we leave early the next morning! :scared1: I have also been talking to those we are hiring for DD's wedding and making plans for that. By the time the crusie gets here, I am really going to need a vacation!

Safe travels Laura and Marco!! I can't wait to meet you!!

Making a beer run-have to rolling cooler all set. FYI, I looked up ABC Liquors yesterday and they are open 9 am-11 pm. Just down the road from CI&S, Radisson and Residence Inn. Looks like you'd still be able to go in the morning with the later arrival times, or head there if the pre-cruise meets need an adult beverage run.;)

My BIL gave us these pre-mixed pouches from Malibu Rum-Mojito and Rum Punch. I haven't tried them yet but they look very convenient to bring onboard. They have a built in spigot and look like a giant juice pouch (1.75 L) Not sure about any other flavors.

We should have organized a "mixed drinks meet". It would be sort of like a pot luck dinner where each person brings a different mixed drink and we all share. LOL.

One question on the beer margaritas, do you need to drink the entire pitcher soon after you make it (because of the carbonation going flat)?

DITTO!!! :scared1:

Now you've all got me stressed about stopping for libations pre-boarding. I need to get through the big decisions first like car rental (cheaper, but more involved) or town town car (van) (more expensive but much easier). I've cancelled a bunch of hotel ressies. I think I'm down to 2 now. ;)

I'm a bit peeved at Disney right now. I think they sold my cell phone number. The dining is the only place I've used that # & I got a random text yesterday. I also can;t get onto their site to make new dining ressies. It gets caught in the loop of searching. They really need an 800 #. lol

All my son's khaki and dress pants are too short so he has nothing to wear to dinner each night, but I am worrying about what mixed drink ingredients I need to purchase. :rotfl:
