1. For a good view of the fireworks, go to the Family Area on deck 12 near Quiet Cove.

2. One of the best spaces on board is Vibe. Explore it on the first day when it has its open house. The ‘problem with Vibe is that despite the ship maps at the elevators showing it on deck 5, its entrance is actually on deck 4. To get to it properly, go to deck 4 forward, go outside on the port side (that’s left for you landlubbers) and go under the jogging track where you’ll find steps leading up to it. There is a wheelchair only access point in deck 5 forward, but use that at your own risk/reward/discretion.

3. Go to Pink and try a martini with blue cheese olives.

4. At Cabanas, there is no need to stand in one big line since it is set up for you to go to the stations you want.

Marsha I'm loving the tips

RE the shower - I figured asking someone on the cabin tour how it worked;)

Any good codes? I think I may "need" one more set.

I did not find a code but they are still 20% off and free shippin. I even ordered another suitcase....HOW MANY SUITCASES IS EVERYONE BRINGING??

OK - so put off working out all day but finally got some Wii Zumba in!

I just bought this on Fri. It's still in the box. Is it a good workout (note: I don't consider Wii Fit a good workout.)? I really like Zumba, so will I like the Wii version?

I'm copying & pasting all these tips into a doc to bring with me. Thanks!! I added this to the FB site, but I'll add it here to. Bring pre-printed address labels with your home addy. Use them to stick onto the luggage tags the last night of the cruise. It will save you writing time. While you're at it, print out friends' addys for postcards from CC. The luggage tags are also great scrap booking items/souveniers.

Anyone else feel like despite reading the Dis you know nothing about the Dream:confused3:

YES!!!!! Thanks for the link. I'll have to check that out.

Sounds like everyone will look very beautiful/handsome on our cruise.

Love the pictures, Marsha.
Good luck car shopping.
Daughter's hair looks great after the locks of love cut.
Great job on the exercising.
Hi to anyone else I missed comments. ;)

Good Morning Everyone.

Laura - how excited are you 6 days - I am just excited at 17.

Jen - Love the hair cut on Emily. Great buy on the dress! My DD's and I have hit Marshalls a lot and got some great deals!

Kristin - I guess I really need to get some of the cubes.

LOVE THE TIPS OF THE DAY! Keep those coming.

Tip I heard and which I went out and got was a power strip. They say there are only a few outlets in the room and with all the electronics we have these days - well you know. Make sure it is an approved one.

Thanks. I was wondering if they had improved this. It's amazing how many things I have that will need to get charged. Power strip is now on my packing list.

I started using a program/app a few weeks ago, Evernote. I love it!

It is sort of a DropBox for information. I have pulled all my PDF confirmations into it as well as set up Notes and Notebooks for the cruise, WDW, Amtrak, hotel info, packing checklists, etc.

The coolest thing about it.... I can access the info online, through my work or home computer (downloaded the program) or through my smartphone (mine is a Droid but it works on all the major platforms). During the cruise I will have my phone on airport mode but will be able to access all the info.

I also plan on uploading it on dh's laptop (which is going w/ us) so I can use it to write up a trip report. While offline I can update on whichever device I am on, and it will sync up again once I reconnect to the internet/phone network.

Yesterday I ordered our FE on eBay. It is a small one but wasn't $$ at all and I should get it by Monday! Dh ordered a second camera battery on Sunday and I also ordered dd's Guide to the Magic for Kids last night so this way each kid has one (dh used to "help" dd w/ hers in the past but at 5yo now will have his own!).

We really love this book for the kids. So much for them to do with it as well as the journal pages in the back! The journal pages are for 14 days and we will be gone 18 so I am going to add a few so they will be complete! ;) It is a WDW book so nothing really cruise related in it...but all kinds of fund stuff for the parks!

Clothing has been sorted and suitcases have been dragged out!. We picked up Pillow Pets for the kids last week for them to use on the AutoTrain. I was trying to talk dd into the Ladybug because we saw it everywhere but she kept searching for the Dolphin. Dh was out w/ the kids on Saturday when the finally found the Dolphin, and then the kids insisted that dh buy the Ladybug for me! So I will be sporting a lovely Ladybug PillowPet on the AT in 18 days! (Dh is drawing the line and won't get one to "join the crowd" but the kids are lobbying to surprise him w/ one. I'm not thinking he will be pleased w/ that! ;))

We have a busy few weeks ahead of us. Dh is going to his cousin's wedding on Saturday and the following Saturday we will be attending a drum corps show in Allentown all day (dh and I both used to march) and late into the evening/night.

My goal is to be as packed as I can be by the end of this weekend, finish it up next Sunday with only the clothes the kids will wear that week to be washed and packed on Friday, the 12th. We leave at 8am on the 13th!

Friday the 12th will be Ben's (ds) last day at his daycare. We've been going there every weekday for the last TEN years between ds and dd. He will go back during school holidays now and then but it won't be the every day interaction we've had all this time. :sad1:

I did not find a code but they are still 20% off and free shippin. I even ordered another suitcase....HOW MANY SUITCASES IS EVERYONE BRINGING??

We allow one per person. Each DD has a 49 pound weight limit. Bri (DD-almost 15) has the hardest time meeting this.:rotfl:

Hi our luggage allowance is really good this year. We can bring 2 cases each with a weight limit of 23 kg (50lbs) . I think we'll tend to bring 3 cases between us. I know I pack far too much. ;)

Hello all!!
Just wanted to post and say hi!! All is ok here, the funeral was very nice and the last of the family left today. So it's now back to normal by planning girl's camp and the cruise!!

Love the tips! I am sure going to remember lots of them!!
Jen, your DD's hair looks so cute! What a wonderful thing she did. My DD is also planning on donating her hair very soon.
As far as dressing up, I will wear a dress and Randy will have a shirt and tie. Still not sure what we are going to do for pirate night. We will be lucky if we even have pirate t-shirts to wear.
I am feeling so unorganized this trip, but I do have my fe gift finished! I haven't even started packing yet, and I will be gone almost a week right before we leave!!:scared1:

DH and started packing this weekend. It was a little stressful for us as I wanted to do it and DH was doing it exactly how I would have done it. This arm thing is really frustrating at times. Ordered another set of packing cubes and the toiletry bag today. It can really become addicting. :cutie:

Hope the arm is better soon. I am back at the orthopedic today my foot is still hurting me!!

Since there is an interest in a group photo I contacted Concierge Services and they could help expedite the request.

They wrote, "We can check with the photographer team onboard if you would like to set this up in advance. You are correct, it would be $85.00 an hour, plus the price for any pictures purchased.Let us know what time and date you were thinking and we can pass this on to the shipboard team to check availabity. Some times may have more availabity than others."

Since Tuesday is pretty busy with the stateroom tour my guess is during our sea day (Thursday) would probably be the best second option.

I don't suspect there is any rush to make this request, but some feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

I've never zumba'd in real life, so i have nothing to go by, but i did the 20 minute beginner class and was dripping with sweat - so i guess it's pretty good - since i generally tend to "glisten" rather than sweat.

Our WalMart and JC Penney sell baseball team ones. I've seen Yankees, Mets and Red Sox in our area.

I went ahead and ordered more packing cubes last week for my son. Now my DH is asking if he's getting any. Trying to decide if I need a tolietry kit. And still debating the purse. Luckily they have very speedy shipping since we leave in less than 2 weeks. :scared1:

Does anyone have any experience with the Neutrogena Wet Skin spray sunsceen? I bought a 2 pack at BJs but have yet to use it because...we have not been to a pool yet!! Just wondering if I should pick up another set for the cruise (we're doing water parks the week before for a few days). I always start us all with a base of lotion before dressing. It's just a pain to touch that up when you're wet. Just wondering if the Wet Skin one actually works. I know the spray ones tend to dissipate in the air more than on your skin but I enjoy the convenience.

We have used the regular spray ones for the last few years and I was planning on picking up some of the "wet" cans as well. It is on my BJ's shopping list for next week! :thumbsup2

Jeff, Thanks for doing this. The VB's are in if this is something others want to do. Sounds fun! I'm PMing you about something else...

I have all the tips in a Word document already. If you want, I can email them to you. Just PM me your email address.

Thank you for arranging this. I am in. Do we pick a character? Since both of the Dis meet groups did chose Pirate Night we always had Pirate Mickey.
