Thank you for arranging this. I am in. Do we pick a character? Since both of the Dis meet groups did chose Pirate Night we always had Pirate Mickey.

I am hopeful we can decide on a time, a character would be good too.

Marsha-I recognize some cruisers in your 2009 picture from a 2003 cruise we took-Mary (WDWLVR) and her husband. They were seated at the table next to us at dinner all week.

Weight Loss-been doing WW since January, walking 5-6 times a week and kickboxing 2x a week (which changed to 4x starting last week for the next 2 weeks until vacation). I've lost 34 pounds! My goal was to reach my cruise weight from 2003 which was my lowest cruising weight. We have a week in the world prior to the cruise so I'm hoping all the walking and stair climbing at the water parks will help keep it in control. Gotta save up for dessert on the Dream :lovestruc

Semi-Formal night-DD14 is wearing a tank/skirt style dress, I have a super comfy dress in navy blue from Lands End and DH and DS are wearing khakis and polos.

Pirate night-matching black POTC t-shirts with bandanas/pirate hats/wigs and accessories.

Palo night-my dress is a tad dressier than semi formal night. It's a hot pink cocktail dress with a ruffled front. Considered returning it but DH, DD and DM won't let me. We might not even keep the Palo ressie if our friends can't get added to our ressie.

Awesome job on the weight loss!

I did not find a code but they are still 20% off and free shippin. I even ordered another suitcase....HOW MANY SUITCASES IS EVERYONE BRINGING??

Good question!!!

Since there is an interest in a group photo I contacted Concierge Services and they could help expedite the request.

They wrote, "We can check with the photographer team onboard if you would like to set this up in advance. You are correct, it would be $85.00 an hour, plus the price for any pictures purchased.Let us know what time and date you were thinking and we can pass this on to the shipboard team to check availabity. Some times may have more availabity than others."

Since Tuesday is pretty busy with the stateroom tour my guess is during our sea day (Thursday) would probably be the best second option.

I don't suspect there is any rush to make this request, but some feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jeff

This sounds like a good idea!A character would be good too! I don't know when a good time would be though. If we did it in the evening it would probably need to be a time in between both dining times and the shows. we have early dining.

Do you think we can squeeze in the group photo after the stateroom tour and before the muster drill? I was thinking at 3:30 in the atrium. Our past experiences has been that the group photo takes about 5 - 10 minutes at most.

Hi Jeff,

THanks, for looking into this today. I had it on my list of things to do today.

I like the idea of the group photo..I am considering purchasing the photo CD while onboard would this photo be able to be put onto the CD? If so I could then get people copies after the cruise?

Maybe, we could do the photo on Pirate Night??

I am happy to contribute $ towards the photographer as well!! Let me know what I can do to help out!!:thumbsup2:)

Sorry, I posted before I read all of the comments about this.

The TA I am booked with has something planned for anyone who booked with her from 4:30-5:30 so I know that time would not be good for a few of us on here!!

That's a good idea or question about puttiing the pic on the CD.I was also thinking about the CD.Do you know how much it is? $250/$300? It depends on if I can get the guys to do the phot op's! They don't like to have their pics taken!!!:)

Congratulations on your weight loss!

You are correct. It is Mary in the picture and her husband Mark. They were on the cruise with us in 2009 and it was good getting to know them and then finally meeting them.

I am not sure but I am trying to limit myself to 3.

I am hopeful we can decide on a time, a character would be good too.

For my past two we have always taken the photos in between main and late seating for dinner. I know last year, I had to leave dinner a little earlier to take the photo and then go back since our main dinner was not over at 7:00 p.m. But, that was fine with me.

I like the idea of taking the picture in the atrium. I am not sure if the stateroom tour will take an hour but I do not want to rush folks. I am touring and showing. I do like the idea of a pirate night group photo again even if everyone is not dressed up for pirate night.

I wonder what she has in store. I cannot wait.

OK - you all convinced me to try packing cubes. Just ordered 4 sets for the 4 of us - 1 in each color and the toiletry kit for me. I think it will work well for us.

Hmmmmm... wonder what Carol has in store??? What if we aren't doing the cabin tour?

Hi Sherri,

Carol has been touring DVC Hawaii she is back on the 27th then she told me either later this week or early next week she will be emailing everyone. The "Surprise" will be after the cabin tour I told her about the cabin tour!!

:goodvibesI love the packing cubes!!:thumbsup2

The stacks of clothes that have been stacked in various places in our home are finally making their way into suitcases!!! :rotfl: Packing has commenced! :)

Since June, I've been obsessively checking excursion availability for 2 double jet skis. We are newbies and by the time we could reserve excursions, the doubles were gone. This morning, 2 became available so I snagged them. Thank you to whoever released them!

I think the choice of date and time for the group photo is between the following:

1. Tuesday the 16th @ 3:30

2. Friday the 19th @ 7:30 (Pirate night)

A couple comments on these choices. Pirate night is up to the discretion of DCL. Although scheduled for Friday night, based on weather conditions that may change so scheduling a Pirate night photo in the atrium may not work out if Pirate night isn't Friday (just a thought).

Secondly, I decided on 7:30 instead of 7:00 only because the atrium is right outside the Royal Palace, but not everybody in our group will be eating there so leaving Animators Palette or the Enchanted Garden to get to the atrium will take a little longer. The hope is that most folks with main dining will be done eating and can get to the atrium by 7:30.

Feedback please,

Jeff

Good Morning Jeff,

WOW! You have gotten organized with this and it will be a great photo opportunity! I vote for Friday the 19th. I really love the pirate night group photos that were posted...it looked like so much fun!

Thanks for taking care of this! :thumbsup2

To all having PT - it is a good thing, it did wonders for my wasted leg pre and post surgury when I injured my knee.

Hi Jeff

I think that pirates night would be a better choice, as Marsha mentioned feeling rushed on embarkation day may be a bit too stressful, since
i) I'm not sure how long the cabin tour will take and
ii) the tour group need to meet up with the rest of their familes to get to the lifeboat drill on time.
