And here i thought you got lucky with the weather, it didn't even sprinkle here.

How scary for Jude, thinking of them!

Erika - It rained so hard for at least an hour of the concert but it was so cool how they just played through it and stood right out in the pelting rain.

I know that Jude is probably scared and so I appreciate everyone thinking of them. I will post an update when I talk with her today.

There's a post on the main boards with pics of the Dream in Nassau taken from a passenger on Majesty of the Seas, check it out: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1443264&highlight=majesty&page=2

Thanks Jen for letting us know about Sean. Very scary for all of them, I'm sure. I'll be sure to send Jude an email.

How awesome that the concert still went on! Enjoy your day of taking it easy.

We still need rain here! Our plants are wilting and the flowers have dried out. It's very overcast today (and about 20 degrees cooler) but still a lot of humidity.

LAST CALL FOR CABIN TOUR.

Meeting place will be Forward on deck 13 between 2- 2.30pm. There is an area to the left (Starboard) side of the Currents Bar, that has chairs and open space.
If it is storming rain outside then we will have to meet in a sheltered area. I was thinking of the covered area on the left (port) side of the quiet Cove pool- this is Forward on Deck 11 near the start of our tour. If anyone has a good suggestion of another backup meeting place in case of adverse weather your welcome to let us know.

And BTW We are still looking for any Volunteers who have cabins in the following categories Concierge T, and cabins 10, also 8(B,C or D) IF ANYONE ELSE WOULD LIKE TO VOLUNTEER THEIR CABIN FOR THE TOUR PLEASE SEND ME A PM, THIS IS THE LAST REQUEST.

R- Pudo - to take place on a sea day with Jeff as a Dis meet.

Thank you to everyone who has volunteered so far.
If I have missed anyone, please send me a PM so that your name can be added to the list.

The initial plan is to meet at 2-2.30pm on the ship on deck 13 forward to the left of the Currents Bar.

At 2.30p sharp we head off to tour the cabins which hopefully should be done in about an hour or so.
The selection of cabins will be narrowed down to those that are somewhat signficantly different from each other, so that we are not seeing duplicates.

Those who are showing, would be the Disers who volunteered their cabins to viewed.

Those who are touring will be the tourists travelling to view the volunteered cabins.

Those who want to do both will come along on the tour to see the other cabins and when we reach their cabin hopefully they will open the door so we can see theirs also.

The lifeboat drill takes place at 4pm.

Hopefully as long as we don't linger too long during our tour we should be done to give everyone enough time to meet back at their cabins to pick up the rest of their family for 4pm.

The sailaway party takes place at 4.30pm. You still have time to enjoy yourself.

If possible try to be on board by 1.30pm. There has been alot of changes to the port arrival times by DCL, which may have adversely affected our boarding times also.
There use to be a DCL Ship tour that mets at the Port Adventures Desk at 1pm. There is was also a Spa tour at this time.
When I got on the Dream in April we got on really late (2.20pm). So we dropped off my DM in Cabanas the buffet restaurant, went on a tour, then picked her up an hour later. Since we had missed the scheduled Spa tour when we went there at 5pm after the sailaway party, it was quiet and they gladly gave us our own little private tour of the Spa, salon and fitness center.
There's alot of activities that overlap for you to to have a choice. Some do get repeated on another day.

If anyone has any other questions or concerns or ideas to help this tour work please let me know.

Brenda

Jen, thanks for letting us know! Tell Jude we are thinking about her and hope things get better for her and her family/

So fun! It will not be long until we are all getting on the ship!

Beth and I didn't melt at the Tim McGraw/Luke Bryan/The Band Perry concert.

My brother got us amazing seats as well as Meet & Greet tickets to meet Luke before the concert. I really enjoyed The Band Perry and Luke Bryan performances. We only saw a few Tim McGraw songs since I went backstage to hang w/ my brother. This is the first I've seen him in over a YEAR!

Here is the photo from the M&G...

The car temp was showing at 108 degrees as we pulled into the parking lot. It really was uncomfortable. At one point we went and sat in the lobby for a bit (some a/c) and we watched people passing out from the heat!

Yesterday I took Beth and one of her friends to dinner and then to see Monte Carlo. The movie was cute. The girls were hysterical when the waitress gave them kids menus...they insisted on adult menus instead! :rotfl2:

Thank you for organizing this. I am looking forward to it.

So how did everyone survive the 100 degree heatwave this weekend?

Did everyone stay inside or brave the heat?

I did both.

Hey Kristin,

Got your FB question (sort of). We fly down on Sat the 13th. I am answering you here instead of FB b/c I just don't get FB. I'm an I.T. professional. For the last 15 years I have been an application programmer and database administrator, but trying to figure out FB is beyond my "logical" ability :rotfl2::confused3 Your question is supposed to be somewhere on my "wall" but I sure can't find it. Honestly, I don't know how people communicate via FB

I have trouble with FB too!! Too find the cruise thread on there look on the left hand side where it says groups and click on that, it will take you to our group and yous should see the chatter!! :) You type under what you want to answer and hit enter...that should work! Hopefully!

Hi! It's been a while since I (the new girl) have been on here...so much to do to be ready for our first cruise! I must say that Kritter has been an amazing help for me with planning ~ thank you, K!! I'm struggling a bit with pirate night... have a costume for my 9yo boy, but not sure what the rest of us are going to do. Kritter sent me a link to the item she purchased... (thank you again!), but just wondering what others are doing in terms of dressing up (or not!)... My husband found a Pirates of the Carribean tee online, though it's kinda creepy and I fear it would scare some of the little guys... Any ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks! I'm looking forward to meeting everyone!

Morning Everyone! I am off to work today. With the purchase of all our iPads, our district was given 2 days of Apple training and so today and tomorrow I have to go in to work. It should be kind of fun though. After work I will be running or working out. I am also going to be taping reminders up all over my house because I have 21 days to lose the weight I want to before this trip and there is no time left to not be doing everything I can to be in shape! Have a great Monday everyone!

:rotfl: I totally get you on this! While I understand and love using FB, I struggle with using my cell phone! My job is in technology as well and get teased often about my lack of tech skills with the cell phone! :rotfl:

Hey Michele - Normally my family would kind of go all out for Pirate Night. I would like to be doing that again but haven't found appropriate costumes yet this year. I am still looking though because we kind of like Pirate Night and have fun with it. I will send you a picture when I reply to your e-mail a bit later today.

I've had a FB account for a couple of years, but I rarely use it since I find it to be source of aggravation. I like the idea of our group sharing photos and video of our experiences so I decided to log into my FB account for the first time in several months.

Although my head will be without a doubt flatter from banging it on my desk :headache: the trade off of sharing our experiences will outweigh the amount of aspirin I will need. :rotfl:

:cool1:Happy Monday Everyone!!

Only two more Mondays for us before we leave!!:thumbsup2

What is everyone wearing for Semi-Formal night??
