Thanks so much for the offer - we would LOVE a cabana and are still checking every day....but it needs to be one on the family beach. The kids probably would not be happy if we left them all day and hung out in a cabana on Serenity Bay! It was really thoughtful of you to think of us though and I will keep hoping I find one that is open or someone who needs to share with 4 complete strangers!

Would like to see HP tonight but DD returns home tomorrow-she'd be really mad if we see it without her (especially a midnight showing which she'd really love). Maybe Sunday if DH gets home from rafting trip early enough.

We came home from one of our cruises to news that you're all dealing with now (literally as soon as wheels of plane touched ground and I turned on cell phone it rang with bad news). Evening Everyone! One more day of leadership training done and one more to go. Tonight is my last night of homework and as interesting as it is....I am looking forward to having some vacation days again! My class is using a textbook titled: "Self-Theories - Essays in Social Psychology" as we talk about how people work and what that means in education. Again, interesting but I am close to being burnt out on long days of heavy thinking!

I continue to think of all of you who have so much going on with health (your own or family members). I am hoping that all the positive support here is helping everyone through the days.

Lots of talk about HP. Tonight I will be driving DD and her friend to the midnight show. I won't be staying since I have class all day again tomorrow and DH will have to go get them. I have to say I will actually look forward to seeing the movie when it comes out on DVD. I have been watching them lately and am very impressed. Such a great story!

For everyone looking for Carol's information....I will post it on our cruise website so that you can refer to it if you want it for booking a new cruise at some point.

Kristin - I am totally curious about what Carol is planning! She is so thoughtful and just a great travel agent....always so helpful!

I like the medium cubes best overall because I can organize those more easily in the suitcase and throw one or two in my "day bag" with our swimwear and and extra change of clothes for when we first board the ship.

DH and I went on a jog this morning, and DH ended up hurting his OTHER ankle! Its not nearly as bad before though, so hopefully he'll be back on it in a couple of days...

Oh no! He needs to be more careful--in fact we all do! We've only got 33 days to get everything settled before it's time to cruise!

If you do decide to cancel your Serenity Bay cabana for one of the CC days, would you let me know? Two members of our party have trouble with sun exposure, and I think the cabana could be really helpful. (I know-- August in FL/Bahamas--what were we thinking!)

Hope all the planning is coming together-- I love hearing everyone's packing, etc. stories!

We're starting to think about it, but, are waiting to see what other options next year will bring. We're thinking of trying another cruise line. Also possibly thinking about Alaska for next summer or waiting till Thanksgiving time when we would appreciate Caribbean weather.

I've been wanting to try RCCL, how do you rate them in comparison to Carnival and Disney? We've also done Princess but that was a long time ago and I didn't think it was very family friendly.

RCCL was fun!! We went on the Freedom and had a blast!! DS loved it!We are going to try out the Allure of the Seas next year!

I will be ordering ours this week. I am going to order performance shirts for the CC5K. I am thinking of putting something like "Running with Mickey in the Bahamas" or something like that on the back. Still am not sure but know I have to order soon.

I will also probably order the logo T-shirt but just in white. I love Laura's navy but white just goes with everything for me.

I will probably just order the white too!

Well, the Poly is no longer a secret to the children. DH and I were outside - it was hot and humid like FL, we were having drinks while listening to the soundtrack of the Poly and DH says...let's just tell them. So, we called the children outside and broke the news. Needless to say, we had lots of laughter, smiles and happy talk as we discussed our WDW plans.

Now you don't have to worry about slipping up!

I got the 10:30 slot, but I was up at midnight and then again at 4:30AM when the site wasn't ready at midnight. So I really hope they don't bump me to later than 11:30 or I might get really cranky! <--- My Cranky Face.
Is 11:00 for concierge and platinum cruisers and 11:30 the first check in time now?

I got the 11-11:30 check in time. I think it's going to be crazy busy!!

Fly down Saturday the 13th and stay at CIS near Universal Studios
16th: Cruise
21st: Check into the Villas @ Wilderness Lodge.

Are you going to Universal? We will be there the 12th-15th!!

Does anyone have tips or thoughts about how to approach the Harry Potter park at Universal? Sarah (d11) is a fanatic about HP, so we will goto Universal to see that..not sure we will do anything else there, but who knows...

can we get discounted tickets anywhere? I thought I read that costco might have them... will have to hunt for a costco close to where we are staying I guess...

It will be our first time at HP too!! Costco is the only deal that I know of.

....and my awesome TA just emailed me that our cruise docs arrived today. She's holding on to them until our WDW docs arrive and mailing them to us all together.

No docs for me yet!!!!! I bet my TA is holding mine too!!

Hello all!
My FIL is very sick and is nearing the end of his life. He has had Alzheimer's and he has been in bed ridden for a few years now. The hospice people said that he could go any day now. He has no quality of life and hasn't for quite a long time. We just don't want him to suffer anymore! We really need prayers right now for it to happen sooner than later. Thanks so much!

Sorry to hear about your FIL! I hope your prayers are answered soon!!

I am so sorry to hear about your FIL. My dad passed away of a brain tumor not even a month ago. We took him down to the beach for the weekend knowing his time was near. I know how hard it is. Love and prayers to you and your family.
