August 16, 2011, Disney Dream - Part 3

Happy Monday Everyone!

I will try to come back on and do some replies later but for now I just have a couple of minutes to check in before I have to get going to work.

Thanks to everyone for all the good luck wishes....our half marathon went really well. DH and I finished in 2:17. I will honestly say that the first part of the race was great for me but the last part really challenged me. There were some hills at the end that really kicked my behind! I am still happy with our time because last year we finished in 2:22 so at least we are improving.

Recitals went great as well. It is always kind of sad when the dance year comes to and end but in 2 weeks the kids will begin summer dance and it all starts over again!

School ends on Wednesday for DD and DD. School for me ends on Friday but I have about 2 weeks of extra projects I will be working on in June so I don't really "finish" yet. DH has to go until next week.

Kristin - I am thinking of you and hope that when you see the doctor that he says no surgery and lots of rest can heal that foot!

Candy - Enjoy the heat and your vacation! It is finally warm in Minnesota and I hope we can have some 100° days soon!

Erika - The outlet in Wisconsin Dells still had some the last I knew but I think they might have been out of white. Let me know if you need the number.

Just wait 'til your girls get older - then you'll really be happy when the school year ends!!!

No races lately - a 5K coming up in 2 weeks. It's an evening race so hopefully it will be cooler. My back has been giving problems the last two weeks though - trying to shake that off.

I'll ask DW about the FE again.

I can only imagine what school will be like as they get older. I dread it....Third grade was bad enough this year.

A day of cruise/vacation shopping is thankfully over!! Spent most of the day at the King of Prussia Mall and Philadelphia shopping outlets... I think we've done our part to stimulate the American economy today

Hello all!! I hope everyone had a great weekend!! We are here in Scottsdale, Arizona and it was 106 today!! It is suppose to cool down 100 tomorrow. Too hot for me!! I would love to spend time out by the pool and go swimming but I forgot to pack swim suits!! UGH!! I think we will go shopping and see if I can find some.

Kristin, I hope your MRI goes well and you don't need surgery!

Erika, what color are you looking for? I might be able to check out the Disney outlet over here for ya!

When does everyone else's kids get out?

We don't get out for another two weeks...DD14 is "stepping forward" to High School so her ceremony is on the 20th and DS12 goes until 22nd (same school). DD is supposed to go back to school the day after ceremony to a breakfast, but she's trying to talk me into letting her skip and be done.

Any solid color probably, not keen on the pink or purple though. White would be best, but black or red or even yellow would be ok. Thanks Candy.

Matthew has been out of school since May 26th, and he officially graduated last Thursday . Alexa is done on Wed. Thank goodness, then I don't have to get up at 5:30 anymore!!!

Good luck with the ankle Kristin. I know I sure am tired of the broken toe thing.

Jen, what do you think the odds are of us actually finding time to get together before the cruise LOL??

Lol I've done my part to help the British economy this weekend , but Dave needs to do his part still! ( he hates shopping, especially clothes shopping) we are having the ' do I need to pack a tie argument at the moment.

What do you guys think? We are doing Palo & Remy . If I get him to buy a new suit and a couple of shirts would he ok without a tie? I looked up on dcl website and it does not say a tie is compulsory ( even though I would prefer him to have one)

He says it really spoils his evening

Ooooh champagne tasting, now your talking! And I will spend $20 for a glass, but only on a cruise LOL. Or at WDW. I often get a glass or two of Fairy Tale at $12 a pop.

Try the Universal Boards here for hotel info. They have no deals around our cruise, but I think the rates drop significantly for the end of August.

I asked on the main cruise thread forum about this. The reply I got said you paid $20 and you get to taste 4 or 5 different champagnes including the signature one for pink!

We only have 9 more days of school here but who is counting. Two of them are half days so that will be nice. Who knows maybe, the school year will be over quicker than I think if I have to have foot surgery!!

Dave could borrow a GRUMPY tie from Marco !!!
My DGH has plenty of Grumpy ties and also many ties with VERY SMALL Mickey Mouse icons ...
Even on formal nights ... NO WAY that I can talk him into wearing a serious tie !!! ( I'll never ever wear a business tie while I'm on vacation , DGH states every Summer !!!)

BUT he happily wears a tie with a Disney theme on it !!
