My kids only have 20 more days of school left. We start the Wed. after we get off the curise so I'll only have 2 days from when we get home to get them into school mode.

Our kids only have 4.5 days left. :scared1: Summer is here.

The bad thing is when we get off the Dream after the Aug 16 cruise.. that Sunday...we have to fly home and all that...and school starts the very next day. (Monday) UGH.

Man, it seems like alot of you guys are getting hurt. I hope you all are all better by the time we are cruising! Maybe that's what they meant by the end of the world! :lmao: Well if the world does end at least it is the day before I go do the Warrior Dash with my friends. I'm not sure I'll be able to do all the obsticles, wish me luck!

VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED FOR OUR CABIN TOURS

Hi Everyone

A number of people have concerns and questions about our cabin tour.
Hopefully if every thing goes as planned it should work out.
I was on the Dream in April for the 4 day special double dip in Castaway Cay.
I did get a chance to do a cabin tour and managed to save the 1st day Navigator which I'm using as a reference.
The initial plan is to meet at 2-2.30pm on the ship on deck 13 forward in the family zone. This could be part of a general Dis group meet and greet if anyone is thinking of organizing one.
At 2.30p sharp we head off to tour the cabins which hopefully should be done in about an hour.
The selection of cabins will be narrowed down to those that are somewhat signficantly different from each other, so that we are not seeing duplicates.

I'm interested in doing both, but am not sure of logistics of showing AND viewing. That special 6A cabin is HUGE!!

Can't wait for the FE info. Thanks, Kristin.

Those who are showing, would be the Disers who volunteered their cabins to viewed.

Those who are touring will be the tourists travelling to view the volunteered cabins.

Those who want to do both will come along on the tour to see the other cabins and when we reach their cabin hopefully they will open the door so we can see theirs also.

:worship: THANKYOU Brenda for organizing the :dance3: STATEROOMS TOUR !!!! :dance3:
Me too :confused3 I'm wondering about logistics ...

I also hope that this TOUR won't take place in the same time as SAILAWAY PARTY , which we LOVE so much !!!
laura :wave2:

The sailaway party takes place at 4.30pm. You still have time to enjoy yourself.

Also, we would be interested in the stateroom tour, but I am also concerned about how we will squeeze that in plus a meet plus the muster drill and sail-away! (We are in a 5A.)

Good point. The lifeboat drill takes place at 4pm.
The sailaway party takes place at 4.30pm.
Hopefully as long as we don't linger too long during our tour we should be done to give everyone enough time to meet back at their cabins to pick up the rest of their family for 4pm.

We are in a 4B.

As first time DCL cruisers, I'm concerned about not having enough time to take in the rest of the ship and settle in if we were part of a tour.

If we can work it all out timewise... I would be interested!

I believe they start boarding the ship around 12pm??
As long as we all get to port by 10am, we should be able to be on board before 1p. There was a DCL Ship tour that met at the Port Adventures Desk at 1pm. There is also a Spa tour at this time.
When I got on the Dream in April we got on really late. So we dropped off my DM in Cabanas the buffet restaurant, went on a tour, then picked her up an hour later. Since we had missed the scheduled Spa tour when we went there at 5pm after the sailaway party, it was quiet and they gladly gave us our own little private tour of the Spa, salon and fitness center.
There's alot of activities that overlap for you to to have a choice. Some do get repeated on another day.

If anyone has any other questions or concerns or ideas to help this tour work please let me know.

Brenda

Good Evening Everyone,

I had a bad day today. I hurt my ankle the other day..The dr. called back today the radioligist read the x-ray and they called me back today. They made me come back I have a fracture and they made me get crutches and a brace. UGH!!:scared1::scared1:

Sorry to hear of your injury. Hopefully since it's not displaced (I assume since you did not get surgery) you'll be good to go by the time we sail.
If you're visiting WDW before hand you could try out the scooters. They are a nifty way to cruise around the parks.

I bet they are pretty nifty. Here at DL I wasn't able to get a scooter when my ankle was broken, but I was able to use a wheelchair, and I was able to get myself and 5 other people on the rides with me, without waiting in lines. It made it so nice.

OH NO Kristen, feel better! Do you get off for the summer?

Thanks, a bunch!!
Yes, we get off for the summer our last day of school is June 17th. I normally do not teach. I used to teach first grade and then when I had the twins I left. The twins go to the school I used to teach fifth grade at my very first year teaching. The principal begs me to come back full time. So I took a kindergarten long-term sub. job for the last eight weeks of school. Teaching, might be hard now with my foot!!:scared1::scared1:

Hey Everyone! Happy Friday! I will happily be catching up with this thread this weekend. I plan on trying to get some of all the stuff on the website as well. I would like to post about all the different meets so we can figure out if things are going to work out time-wise for people. I will try and get the information from reviewing the posts, but if you are someone who is putting together an event/meet....could you send me the information in a PM or e-mail so I can get everything published for people? :surfweb:

I am so happy it is the weekend. I have so much to do this weekend and so I know we will be busy. I have tons of planning for the trip to FL, lots of things to work on for DH's job hunting (looking for a new teaching job in his current district), lots of work for my job and then there is the house and laundry! :laundy:
