NO , it's NOT !!! I know it might look UNREAL - but in Italy we use to have pasta once a day ( with oil and FRESH tomato sauce ) ; it's called The Mediterranean diet .
Together with fresh blue fish and lots of vegetables and fruitit's a well balanced diet ; not many Italians in fact are fat ...
They say that a good PASTA is much better for your well-being than a piece of cake !!

Just got our final totals from our Treasurer we made $15,500 for our school. I am soo psyched!!![]()
Hello Everyone! It has been many days since I have posted....for 2 big reasons.
First, our house has been a very sick sort of house but I think we are all finally feeling well. DS missed school all week long and we all still have a horrible cough. Finally feel like we are recovering.
Here is the big one though...we will not be cruising with you all. We have talked about it and talked about it and have finally come to the realization that it is just not going to happen this time around. It is because of my job (there will be training going on that they will want me to attend), DH's job (it has been really rough and we just don't know what the future of it is going to be) and then in the end that it is not worth the job problems for a 5 night Disney Cruise.
In so many ways we are so very sad because we have such incredible friends here who are going. We will be driving to the east coast this summer to visit some of you because I just can't stand the thought that we won't see you.
Laura - I will be writing you an e-mail this weekend now that I am finally feeling better and I my heart is very sad that we will be missing you and Marco.I wish I could figure out how to make it work but it is just not meant to be this time around.
I am not sure at this point how to handle the fact that I hold the whole website for the cruise and I am not going to take it down - I just do know that I also don't have a huge amount of time to add new things to it when we are not going. I will be talking with Kristin to see if she wants to work on the FE information but am open to ideas.
As I said, the whole family is sad that we are canceling the cruise but we all know that it is the right decision at this point.
Happy planning to all of you and I hope I will be welcome to "lurk" here and follow all the fun you all have!
Jen
Hi Guys,
Since my last posting I've been looking at possible venues to hold our dis meet- I've searched the dis and also looked on the dcl website.
I have found two possible venues - what do you think?
1) Bon voyage lounge - deck 3 mid ship
![]()
Not sure how busy it will be around there at 3pm if people are still boarding?
2) Waves - deck 12 aft

Looking around it has made me realise how much I dont know about the Dream-
I think I'll be spending my cruise wandering around and getting lost
Anyway just thought I'd get the ball rolling -
Good Morning Fellow Cruisers,
I am happy to say that our auction went well. I can FINALLY get my life back in order...LOL!!
I think we made about $14,000 for the school. Which I am still in shock over!!
Happy Sunday. Hoping, to get a nap in too today!! LOL!!
The last Cruise disboards meet I attended was HUGE!!! I think outside is the best bet. Anyone have ideas about how we can identify each other. On our last cruise we got "bracelets" they were nice because we could identify disboarders throughout the week, but they were small so we had to get close to see. Anyone have any other experiences from previous meets?
We had lanyards on our last cruise! They worked out well!
My friend is going on an Alaska cruise and someone on her thread had uploaded their logo to cafepress.com and on there you could order t-shirts or many other items! That could be good, then anyone that wanted a t-shirt or whatever could order it from there or make there own!
Lanyards worked out good on our last cruise! It was easy to spot our fellow cruisemates!

I like the lanyards too - but I can't wear them , it's just too hot in the Caribbean sun , my neck would soon become reddish /itching ...
I use to knot my lanyard to my backpack ...
That's why I would like ALSO the idea of tshirts with our logo !
if someone else likes it too !!!
laura
The key is the FRESH tomato sauce ("gravy" as DW refers to it).... there is always a pot of the stuff being cooked here!!
T-Shirts![]()
While I was reading a lovely trip report from a DIS friend I have seen a beautiful photo of their DIS group : all of them were wearing t shirts with the logo of their group !!!

What do you think ? could it be something that our DIS group could do ?
My friend said that they had decided together the logo; then everyone had made his/her own tshirt(S) - either at home or on-line...
JUST A THOUGHT !!!laura

Is this someone's idea from the previous 5-days on the Magic/Wonder, or did someone call and get confirmation that this is how the Dream will be?
Also, how is this affected by the fact that we are "alternate itinerary b" and our Nassau day is different? (At one point I had heard Nassau was always Pirate Night.) TIA!![]()
This makes 3 of us
who like the idea of tshirts with our cruise logo !!!!
Jen - so sorry that you will not be joining us on this cruise. You will be missed.
I will be more that happy to help with the FE or take it over if needed.
I hope to see you and your family this summer when you come to the East coast!
