We knew that it took a lot for our friend to get us onboard. She has worked for DCL for a loooong time and has a really good position. She has really worked her way up..We have thanked her soo much I think she is sick of hearing it. But it truely was a once in a lifetime opportunity for our family. We really will forever cherish our friendship with our friend. She really is soo special to us..I have more pictures if anyone wants to see them>??

My sister worked on a Carnival ship for five years. Not especially a line I would choose to cruise on, but it was interesting to sail w/ her and get to hang out behind the scenes.

She was junior officer and handled all the IT issues (for every computer except the ones that drove the ship!) on board, as well as running all of the room cards for each sailing.

There were many times that I wished she worked for DCL instead of Carnival!

..back from the Princess and it's been crazy since we got home. I haven't had much of a chance to post. Hopefully I'll be able to post a mini-trip report this weekend (after 3 basketball play off games, 3 productions of the MS musical, and helping DS finish a "goddess" project...help!!) Suffice to say that Jen is the most amazing woman I have ever met. She created awesome outfits for us to wear, ran every mile with a huge smile on her face and her infectious enthusiasm the whole week made our vacation. We have some terrific pictures with the characters and along the whole route. I can't wait to post them!! I think I am hooked for next year...

Find a new park bag

Anybody have a smallish park bag that they love?

I used to use a Baggallini messenger bag
Ah...and I'm pretty low maintenance, although those Disney D&B bags look cute I can't bring myself to spend that much on a bag.

Basically I'm looking at something to carry my phone (Wave Phone on the cruise), ID, KTTWC, and maybe my Kindle for the train and cruise portions of the trip??

Any ideas??

I've been using since 6 or 7 years Vera Bradley backpacks ( the small version is so convenient ...)- They are still like NEW - after about 30 days vacations each Summer, from Europe to continental US (even on the road ) or Hawaii or Caribbean Islands !!!!

but I've seen the new LIZZY (hand)bag which I'd love to use in sunny Florida - so many bright colours / and also "formal" ones !!
I'd also want the matching purse or wallet ...

The Baggallinis I have been looking at are the Bon Voyage, Metro, & London.

I've also been looking at a few at REI (my current small backpack bag is from them) ..the Reign, Chock, Natalie, & the Haiku-to-go.

Not all are big enough for the Kindle...but I don't know if that is important or not as I really don't think I'll be carrying the bag ON the ship. I don't know.

My MIL sends odd things for gifts all the time and for my birthday in the fall she sent me a cute Mickey Mouse phone case for a traditional cell phone (like I had 5yrs ago). I have a Droid and it isn't even close to fitting. HOWEVER...it looks like the Wave phones from the ship will fit it perfectly, so I don't even have to carry an entire bag to carry the phone!

Apparently our local Hallmark carries them. I always just order a bunch from e-bags and return the rest, returns are free .

Our local Hallmark store also sells a large selection of Baggallinis so you might be in luck if you stopped by one of their stores. I've had great luck with e-bags too -- their prices are always great. Good luck!

I have a few Disney Dooney's, but I don't carry them to the parks. They are VERY heavy and I don't want anything to get on them.I carry the Baggalini Baby Bon Voyage, and I love it. It wouldn't fit a Kindle though.
I have looked at other bags, and usually come back to Baggalini, they make such great stuff!!

I like very much the Reign ...

I prefer very much to carry COTTON FABRIC bags for WDW / Florida / hot climate ,I feel much more comfortable with all that sun and humidity ...

Do you know of other trade marks (apart from Vera Bradley) which have totally cotton bags ?? (including straps)
( Here in Italy they are hard to find ...)
