Just got off this morning... the ship itself is AMAZING.... so much bigger than the Magic and Wonder and just as elegant. LOVED the new animators palate....the theming of finding nemo and the interaction with the guests was really neat. Also really liked the new adults areas. The sports bar 687 was our favorite. We left our kids home this trip so we hung out in the quiet cove area.. which isnt so quiet due to the high volume of families with kids walking right through the middle of it from the Deck 11 forward elevators. We were talking with an officer and they realize they have a flow issue there that they need to work on so hopefully by the August cruise they will have it solved.

AquaDuck was really cool but the water was cold.... it was a bit cool with the wind and Im sure that cold water will feel much more refreshing in the hot august temps.

We had booked an 11C and got assigned a Handicapped room 2533.. while the size was great and it was very convenient location wise... it was very noisy from the crew area bedind it. On the morning of castaway cay (which we didnt get to dock at because of wind) and the last night (after midnight) and early morning of debarkation... it sounded like they were banging metal carts filled with pots and pans and slamming doors. We actually called guest services it got so bad last night. So if anyone has that room... bring earplugs. The virtual porthole is also really cool. The Buena Vista and Walt Disney theatres are also both alot bigger and much more legroom in both.

Had no problems with debarkation... by 7:30 I was off the ship, through customs and on my way to my car... totally painless.

All in all.. we had a great time... booked another one for 2012 and cant wait til August 16th til we can do it all again.

Hi Ginny !! It sounds like you have had a wonderful time !! :yay:
How was the virtual porthole ?? :rolleyes1 Any pics ?
What do you think about food onboard ? and about the theatre ?

How lucky you are !! In August you can do it all again !!!! :cheer2:

I found another bag to throw in the mix...

Overland Equipment Donner Bag

I'm going to run over to our local REI soon and compare some of them!

That one is cute!! Looks like lots of pockets (I love pockets). A little big for what I like to carry, but if I liked a bigger bag, I think I would have a hard time resisting that one.
I just ordered myself a Hobo bag for the new Ipad I am buying, from Borsa Bella on Friday LOL. It's not to carry around and stuff, more for transport to and from places and on the plane, but it seems like such a great bag and the lady who makes them gives such great service.

UGH, for some reason, I just decided to check my flights, and Delta has cancelled my outbound flight to MCO and put us on a flight 2 hours later. Without any notice to us. I guess I will be calling Delta tomorrow and telling them they can put me on the 2 hours earlier flight. People are always complaining about AirTran, but they have never done this to me, but Delta has on 4 trips in a row now.

We've had Delta do that to us on several occasions as well & we always seem to get placed on the last flight of the day (night)?!? Always end up calling and having to make changes because those last flights usually run late and it's no fun traveling that late with kids anyway. One time they placed in 5 separate seat assignments as well - our DD was 3 at the time and was expected to sit between two strangers?!?!

I guess the good thing is that you caught it early and it serves as a reminder to everyone to check your flights often.

We had them do the seating mess also. We were in Canada and flying home from Buffalo the next day (after they had rescheduled us more than once) and I went to check in online and we had no seat assignments anymore. We had them before we left home, and now we had none. It wouldn't let me pick seats either. So I called Delta, and the agent could see my previous seats, but had no idea why we got kicked out of them. After some digging, she was able to put us 2 and 2, she couldn't get 4 together. She had to open up 2 seats reserved for handicapped, just to get us 2 and 2.
So next day we get to Buffalo, and we are now in 4 different seats all over the plane! To the desk I go, again, and 20 minutes later, they managed to find us again 2 and 2. Then they start bumping people left and right because the plane is overweight and the weather is bad. What a nightmare that whole mess was!!!

I would go with the BWV or the Beach club...lots to do right there without going to the parks. We are staying at the beachclub, and not planning on going to any parks either!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! I spent last night sleeping on the USS Intrepid with my daughter's Girl Scout troop...It was no Disney ship, but very cool! Exhausted tonight, since sleep was really not anything we did!! Tomorrow she is marching with her Irish Step dancing school in a local St Pattys Day Parade, but the weather is calling for lots of rain here on Long Island, ( Actually I am doing the rain dance, sooo tired!!) Night everyone and Happy Sunday!!

Sounds like a FUN weekend. It has been raining here too!!

That was two years ago, nothing has worked out for me yet, except Delta shoving us on a flight not getting in until 7:15 pm!!!

Not yet... we were waiting for Southwest to open their schedule - which they've done. The prices are CRAZY! Anyway, it's on my to-do list this week - tomorrow probably. Hoping for a miracle fare to come through. :rotfl:

One thing that I recall about our whole experience... when we were speaking to a manager, she offered to waive the "no refund" rule and give us our money back - to which I replied, "you really don't want our business?!?" Clearly the airlines don't give a **** about most of us!

That is so true!!

Hi Guys I've tried to speed read and catch up from the last couple of days - sorry for not being around but life is sooooo hectic (but fun ) at the moment as on Saturday we got our new addition to the family - Caleb :thumbsup2

Bella is besotted with him and continually is trying to get him to play with her. Gem is mothering him and checking him if he crosses the line. Ben has ignored him completely (which is what he does to all puppies):rotfl:

Caleb has been to been to school this afternoon - the reception (kindergarden) children's topic is pets so we did a bit on how to look after a puppy. The children were thrilled .

Im getting sooo excited for this cruise -wow its March already:cool1:

I hope flights get sorted for those who had theirs cancalled.

I'm also very glad it seems that the Dreams' disembarkation process seems to have quickened:thumbsup2

How was service during dinner?

Any way nearly forgot - here's Caleb:goodvibes

Ooooooohh once again, I am just loving the puppy pics!!!! Thanks for sharing, feel free to share often!!
Do you have updated pics of Bella?? So does Caleb make 4 then?

Now I am all set. Just got off the phone with Delta and got us moved to the 10am flight arriving at 2:14. Much better!
I would have booked that one originally but it cost $75 more per person, so I took the 1pm flight instead. So, in the long run this is better anyway LOL, but geez Delta, can you ever just leave a flight alone?

Hello All,

It has been a while but wanted to check in.

We were at the World from 2/21 through 3/1 and had a great time. :cool1: Sunny and warm every day.

Got to do some new stuff

- Watched the princess marathon for a while - Congrats to Jen, Jude and all who participated. :thumbsup2
- We were the flag family one morning at the Wilderness Lodge. That meant we went to the roof with the Ranger to raise the flags. What a view up there.
- Tried a few new resteraunts and just had a blast!!!

I will now try and catch up on my reading.

How could you NOT be thrilled with a face like that. What a CUTIE! What kind of dog is he?

Booked our flights today -- while on the SWA website, i lamented that I had received a RR Award at the end of 2009 but was unable to use it so it expired and wouldn't it come in handy now :sad2: What I DIDN'T know, was that for $50 I could have it reissued and it would be good for the year! So TWO of our outbound flights were $55 total! WooHOOO!!!! So, being that I was able to save there, ANNNNNNDDD leaving the day after the cruise is less in airfare than the day of.... I booked the Poly for our post-cruise stay!:woohoo:
According to my Disney math:teacher: - I'm still $65 ahead - :rotfl2:
