Though the one Chewbacca was sportin' looked stylish :rotfl: I am in the same category as your husband - if it doesn't fit in my pocket or my camera bag then it's probably not worth carrying around!

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Chewbacca was one bright, metrosexual Wookie!

Hi All,

Has anyone given any thoughts to excursions while in Paradise island?

We did the Atlantis/comfort Suites last time, i'm wondering if there's something else worth trying. Has anyone done the Blue Lagoon Beach Day?

Had to interrupt the flow of posts regarding Vera Bradley bags, etc.... just had to do it... really..... please excuse this interruption... you will now be returned to our regular programming.... :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::rotfl:

:thumbsup2 I agree! They are way to heavy to carry in the parks!

I would love to see more pics!

Awesome Pix! Thanx!

Happy Weekend Everyone!
I have a dilemma:

We have decided to stay at WDW post-cruise (after our B2B debarking on 8/25) and are at a loss as to which resort to stay at.
Looking at Deluxe or Villa but DBF has never been to WDW, so which resort would you choose for a 1 day/night stay????

Thanks!

Well, me, I am partial to the Boardwalk!! I just love the area, and being able to stroll to Epcot and Hollywood Studios on a whim.

:goodvibes Personally I love akl ...
but for just one night stay I'd choose the Contemporary , as you can walk to MK.
Another great pick would be a resort close to Epcot / Studios ; we like very much the Beach Club resort !!!

Wow !! You surely will have a very LONG vacation !!!! :):thumbsup2:cool1:

I guess I should add that we won't be doing a park - since it's only one day :sad1: I was thinking he would love AKL - but he is leaning toward Poly or BWV
Poly would be great for fireworks - but i'm trying to "break even" with a $225 difference flying home the next day as opposed to the same day as the cruise. really wanting poly though -- help me with my "Disney Math":teacher:

If you are not doing a park then BWV is great, because there is a lot to do and see at night. Street performers, lovely walk around the lake, food, drink, etc.

Kristin - Pics are great - thanks for posting. The kids' clubs look really nice! :)

I would go with the BWV or the Beach club...lots to do right there without going to the parks. We are staying at the beachclub, and not planning on going to any parks either!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend! I spent last night sleeping on the USS Intrepid with my daughter's Girl Scout troop...It was no Disney ship, but very cool! Exhausted tonight, since sleep was really not anything we did!! Tomorrow she is marching with her Irish Step dancing school in a local St Pattys Day Parade, but the weather is calling for lots of rain here on Long Island, ( Actually I am doing the rain dance, sooo tired!!) Night everyone and Happy Sunday!!

Just got off this morning... the ship itself is AMAZING.... so much bigger than the Magic and Wonder and just as elegant. LOVED the new animators palate....the theming of finding nemo and the interaction with the guests was really neat. Also really liked the new adults areas. The sports bar 687 was our favorite. We left our kids home this trip so we hung out in the quiet cove area.. which isnt so quiet due to the high volume of families with kids walking right through the middle of it from the Deck 11 forward elevators. We were talking with an officer and they realize they have a flow issue there that they need to work on so hopefully by the August cruise they will have it solved.

AquaDuck was really cool but the water was cold.... it was a bit cool with the wind and Im sure that cold water will feel much more refreshing in the hot august temps.

We had booked an 11C and got assigned a Handicapped room 2533.. while the size was great and it was very convenient location wise... it was very noisy from the crew area bedind it. On the morning of castaway cay (which we didnt get to dock at because of wind) and the last night (after midnight) and early morning of debarkation... it sounded like they were banging metal carts filled with pots and pans and slamming doors. We actually called guest services it got so bad last night. So if anyone has that room... bring earplugs. The virtual porthole is also really cool. The Buena Vista and Walt Disney theatres are also both alot bigger and much more legroom in both.

Had no problems with debarkation... by 7:30 I was off the ship, through customs and on my way to my car... totally painless.

All in all.. we had a great time... booked another one for 2012 and cant wait til August 16th til we can do it all again.
