We're getting ready for the move. If everything goes as planned, we close on the house in exactly 2 weeks. The movers start coming in 1 week to inventory everything. So, things are finally starting to feel like this move is for real.

There is almost everything you can think about for a great day on the beach :even snacks , cold beverages ,fresh fruit, sunscreen and toys for the kids !!

Laura, the blog about them made them sound awesome, but... - no flames please - I am not a fan. One of the things that I loved about DCL was the lack of pretension/caste-like separations of the cruisers. No first class, second class, etc. Everyone is together in the dining rooms, etc. It didn't matter whether you are in the Mickey suite or cabin 11D - everyone is treated the same. The idea of the cabanas kind of bothers me - especially since there is a private, gated area at the Family Beach. It reminds me of have/have nots, you know?

It's not really gated, we walked along the beach to the end where they were and there was just a little sign that said this area reserved for cabana guests or something like that. I don't like that they are so far away from everything and some of them aren't even right on the beach. As they go farther down they start to get farther away from the water. If you did get a cabana I would check to see which one you were getting. I'd be mad if I paid all that money and wasn't even right next to the water. I don't mind having others around me at the beach, but if you like isolation this would be for you. There weren't very many people at all on this end of the beach.
