Hi everyone!

I've been absent from this board for a LONG TIME! Life has been so crazy with this being my first year in a new school, teaching 2 new subjects! :upsidedow

I just wanted to check back in with ya'll. :)

It will just be the hubby and me on this cruise

Jhoanna (Me, 25)
Sammy (Hubby, 27)

We are currently living in Boston, MA but are both originally from So. Cal

We would also like to participate in the FE if that is still open

Looking forward to keeping up with all of you again! :thumbsup2

Thank you!

Hi Karen! So, um.... we're in cabin 9072! How funny is that? We sure do have a lot in common. I agree; it has been a looooong wait for this cruise. I'm sure it will be well worth it. My kids are so excited. I wonder if we'll be neighbors at BCV, too? ;) Are you flying home after the cruise? What airport do you use? We can fly out of MHT or BOS. So far the prices to fly home on the 21st are out of control high. So I'm debating staying that night at WDW, then flying home Monday when it is a lot cheaper. The other thing I'm undecided on is how to get to/from the port. We would either take the Disney bus or use a towncar service. Any advice would be great!

Thanks!
Hi,
We are also from MA. We booked our flights out of MHT, but because of the price we decided to fly home on the 22nd. Also, we have done a couple disney cruises, and I am not a big fan of flying home the same day you disembark the boat. It is tough to find a good flight time that doesnt either have you rushing, in fear that you will miss the flight, or hanging around for hours waiting for your flight. We booked a 2pm flight once, and we found ourselves hanging out killing time for hours since we were off the boat by about 9am. But we were afraid to take an earlier flight, in case we didnt get off too quickly. So now we stay a night after the cruise at WDW. We booked our flights on Southwest the day they released the schedule and got our flights for about $200 RT each. I have been watching them to see if they have come down, but they just keep going up.
As for transportation, it is super easy to rent a car and use it to get to the port. We have done this several times. We use Budget every time.

We're from MA, too. We usually fly Southwest from MHT, but this time, we're going from BOS on JetBlue (8/11-8/21). My DD turns 4 on 8/10. Welcome aboard.

Hi there, and thanks! I just bought our plane tickets home today for the 21st on Jetblue. We're on the 12:00 flight. Are you on that one, too?

Too funny!! So, we are booked w/Jet Blue out of BOS for 8/11-8/21. I booked our outbound flight in Nov and got a pretty decent rate. I was watching the flights home for a while and finally decided to book in Feb. It was WAY more than we have spent in the past (We also go out of MHT or sometimes Portland) but I have to go back to work on that Monday (and pick up our doggie) so Monday was not an option for us.

We are taking a towncar service (van) with our friends to the port. We have done this in the past and really liked doing that as opposed to taking the Disney transportation, as we want to get there earlier than Disney picks up. I don't know if stating the name of the towncar service violates the terms here, so if you need info, just PM me :)

Looking forward to meeting you!!

How funny will it be if we are on the same Jetblue flight on the 21st. I'll PM you for the towncar service info. Looking forward to meeting you, too!

Hi! Thanks for the info. I booked our flight home today and chose a 12:00 departure. From what I've read, we should make it to MCO in plenty of time. We're in Disney for 6 nights before the cruise, then 5 nights on the Dream, so we will definitely be ready to go home after we get off the ship. 11 nights is a long time to be away. I'm still undecided on what to do for the transfers...

Hi everyone. I am taking over the laynards for our cruise. Like Kristin if you are interested please send me a PM with your name, cabin number, and how many. I am doing researching costs etc and will try to keep it around $2 each.

Janeanne

Hmph, no e-mail from DCL for me...

Don't feel too bad, I haven't either!!

We used DVC points, so we are paid in full, but maybe they wait until it is closer to send the e-mail.

Cannot wait!!!

No email for me either!:sad2:

this will be our 8th Disney Cruise and we only paid for transfers once (first cruise) we have always rented a car (Avis) very easy to do and sooo much cheaper then buying transfers. Think about renting a car either Avis, Budget or Hertz have offices in Cape Canaveral. Shuttle service will pick you up at the cruise terminal and will bring you to which ever agency you choose to rent from. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks, Laurie :)
