Hey!! Check out our siggys -- One year, one month, one week and one day til our Dream cruise!!!
WOOOHOOOOO:cheer2::beach:party::jumping1:party: :dance3:

Wrench thrown into last minute trip to WDW...DH just realized that all but one of his whole staff is on vacation that week and he has a new hire starting that Monday  He may need to fly down Monday night (we're leaving Saturday) but that's going to throw a wrench in my planning so he doesn't miss anything too fun (plus I'm trying to keep all our park passes equal so they don't run out at different points)...

I did see some openings for some of the restaurants we were interested in. The kids like Whispering Canyon and I thought maybe we'd try Coral Reef, haven't been there in years (pre-kids). Thanks for the advice on getting dining reservations this close. I'll keep you posted on how we make out.

Not really. We leave the kids home and drive the convertible up there, and go to Two Harbors and just stop anywhere along the way that strikes our fancy. Two Harbors has their summer festival this weekend with a HUGE parade and a car show and craft show. We stumbled upon it years ago, and have gone several times since. It's fun.
Then we'll just hang out in canal park for the evening and people/boat watch. Maybe go for a malt at the Portland Malt Shoppe!

Sounds like a fun time! I love hanging out in canal park...it is just so relaxing.

402 to be exact and I can't wait until we can say we are in the 300s!

That is a bummer about DH...I hope you get it all worked out. Can't wait to hear what dining reservations you were able to get...I LOVE making dining plans!

Any other soccer fans here besides us? We are family of soccer players (and coaches)... World Cup final is on Sunday and where will we be??? At a swim meet! Tim has downloaded an app on his iPhone - the sound of thousands of vuvuzelas :scared1: He comes up behind me with that and it drives me crazy - I clearly have a low tolerance for that thing. For those who have no idea what I am talking about - check out one of the games this weekend and crank the volume on your TV!!! :rotfl:

Have a great weekend everyone :)

It is an exciting day today....

DAYS UNTIL CRUISE...

:cool1: :woohoo: :yay: 399 :yay: :woohoo: :cool1:

We are now under 400. The next exciting part will be when we reach the 1 year point.

Hope that news makes everyone else as happy as it makes me!

Back from mini-trip to the Hershey area... Tim had a swim meet near Lancaster this past weekend.... very hot, very humid... yuck!

Stayed at the Eden Resort in Lancaster, which for that area is about as nice as it gets. Our day at Hershey Park was ruined by un-forecasted rain & thunderstorms!! We did a bunch of rides in the morning and by 2-ish we were getting hot and cranky. Got changed & headed for the waterpark. In line for our first attraction and they closed the whole waterpark down. Sun was still partially out, but they said bad weather was coming??!! It came - about 75 minutes later! I guess they err on the side of caution, but I thought they closed it down a tad early. The rain was a torrential downpour though. Not like Disney where you throw on the poncho and keep going - everything was closed at Hershey Park. The did, however, provide rain checks good for another visit within 30 days so we are headed back in a couple of weeks.

Today's forecast was for nasty weather so we spent the morning in the pool, had a nice lunch, and drove back before rush hour.

Sorry that your visit was not all you had planned on. I am happy to see that you are going back though to try again. Hopefully this time Mother Nature will be a bit kinder to you. :goodvibes

Ah the giant Hershey bar, I wonder if anyone has actually eaten a whole one of those?

I had fun listening to a dad explaining to his kid that he couldn't have one of those cuz it wouldn't survive their trip home (melting)!! A simple "no" usually works for us in that situation! Imagine though - someone eating that whole thing?!?
