Well unfortunately we won't be joining you. British Airways policy is you can't fly until 6 days after the appearance of the last spot and she woke up with more today. Just need to sort out the travel insurance now maybe we'll get to do a cruise next year!

I'd kill for Malta. Fingers crossed! Just back from La Rambla (and the Barcelona Cathedral which we missed last year - amazing). Time for some sleep so we can be bright eyed and bushy tailed for the mouse. The port opens at 10, right? We'll be there by 10:30 or so! See you all real soon.

We have just arrived and saw the boat all lit up, it looks great but I was wondering what it was doing in port, double checked the dates for a minute then!!!!

Magic looked great tonight all lit up when we flew over it, can't believe we will be on it in the morning. Kids finally asleep, quick beer then some sleep for the adults too

I am so jealous! Looks like a fun cruise! I am looking for someone that is going on this cruise that could possible pick up a few disney pins for me... I got started collecting them earlier this year and a new one comes out every month... I would be happy to pay you via paypal, or mail you a check. The pins I am looking for are in the Anchor series, which have a disney character sitting on an anchor! They are very cute! Here is a sample of the April pin (Donald). I am mostly looking for Chip n Dale (June), Lilo (July), Stitch (August). Another cruiser just came off the Magic and said that some of the earlier months (Mickey in January), (Minnie in February), (Goofy in March), (Donald in April), (Daisy in May)... are on clearance.. would be interested in getting some extras of those as well!

We're back home after an amazing week on the Magic.
There were plenty of sad faces at having to leave and return to Earth...
We're missing the ship and the friends we made, but we have many wonderful happy memories, and LOADS of photos.

A big big thank you to "Annie" for organising the caps and bags and fun crafting activities to keep the kids occupied during our meet-up. No wonder your bags were overloaded!

I was a bit late getting to the meetup and didn't get to meet as many of you as I would've liked. I hope everyone had a wonderful time!

The weather was perfect, although Rome and Pompeii could've been a bit cooler. All in all, though, it was truly a magical trip for us.

Back home too. Everyone here is a bit grumpy and very jet lagged. It's amazing how well behaved the kids are for 17 days of vacation and then we get home and they turn back into themselves. My head might explode before school starts next week!

We are back home in Charlotte, North Carolina. Smooth travels home today and I think everyone will hold out until 8 or 9 to go to sleep so hopefully we will adjust to the 6 hour time change before school starts Thursday morning! Sorry I only got to meet so few of you. We booked a "placeholder reservation" for a future cruise and will be excited to be on DCL again!

Waaaaaa!! Woe is me! Got up at 4:00 am to leave Barcelona...got to Paris to xfer & had exactly 1 HR to race thru CDG, clear Customs & hit security (again). Arrived At the gate (seemed to be in the next country) just in time to hear an announcement that the flight would be delayed 1 HR. At the end of the HR they CANCELLED the entire flight! what a cluster, lemme tell ya! With a plane as big as the A380 u would think they would be more organized t handle something like this...but it turned pretty ugly. Took a couple of hours just to get up to the counter! They put us in some dive motel for the night along with a couple of meal vouchers. They told everybody to come back at 7:30 tomorrow...we r going at 6:00!!!!!! We r soooo bored. There is nothing at this hotel & only 1 channel on tv in English. Just cross your fingers we get on a plane tomorrow!!

It was great meeting everyone! Miss y'all already! Just glad the rest of the trip went better than the ending!. Will check in again later.

Oh LeeAnn what a hassle! Especially after getting up at 4am!

I KNEW I should have booked a car service getting off the ship, but I let it slide so we waited in the taxi line for an hour. I was so impressed with how easy it was to get off the ship and then was faced with that crazy line. I was a bit concerned about our hotel choice for post-cruise. As we took the drive out there in the taxi, I got more concerned since it felt so far out from the heart of the city and had a passing thought that maybe they lost our reservation.

When we arrived, we were told that there was an a/c problem and they were moving all 4 rooms to a nearby hotel! It was still out in the same area. We briefly tried to get them to move us closer to the airport but that didn't work. The new hotel did not have a pool which was part of why we chose the original hotel, but we forgot to push that issue. They only offered us free breakfast which did not good for half the group as we left at 4am. So, we moved hotels and got settled in a bit. We were grateful the rooms were ready. We took the metro into Las Ramblas, explored more, had a great lunch, and returned to the hotel around 4 for a siesta. We then noticed the rooms were not cooling down and seemed to get more and more stifling despite the air blowing. So, we had to move rooms. We went over to the Marina area for dinner which was fairly close by taxi and had an amazing paella and fideua meal (thanks to the rec of my Barcelona pal) and walked along the beach for a while. The taxi arrived at 4:20am and I swear started the meter about an hour before he arrived. He also had a 12.5 euro supplement which seems more than it should have been even given the early hour, and 4 suitcases, and the airport. I was too tired to fight it.

So we are home now and starting to plan for WDW Beach Club in December and keeping our eyes open for a good price on some future cruise on Disney!!

Hi Karen, you where the opposite to me then. I'm so glad i didn't book a transfer. We walked off the ship and straight into a taxi and it only cost us 17.50 euro. Although i'm sure you didn't want to hear this!

What a hassle with your hotel.

I'm going to book our flights to Florida tomorrow for next year's summer holiday to WDW. Let the planning commence...
