August 13, 2009 - 10 Years of Wonderful Cruising

Hey, EVeryone. My friend has received her cruise docs and luggage tags. I am so jealous. I figured that they should start rolling in about the 3 week mark.

Anyone else receive theirs?

None here, but I've been looking on my front doorstep every night!

We got ours a few nights ago, nothing much to them as we did them online.

Scott H How are you doing it online? Are you going to the DCL website with your reservation #? I have done the immigration forms online once I have my docs for past cruises.

Exactly as you say , online with res # then print out and bring with you.

Can do Immigration forms at the port as none came with the doc package. maybe there has been a change in that process.

No cruise docs in Baltimore yet- maybe when I get home from work tonight?!?!?!?! For the nav - we are celebrating high school graduation for our girls - both graduated in May and will be going off to college this fall.

Ooooh - time to keep a close eye on the post!

Hope they manage to get across the pond before we fly out on the 4th - if they don't will that be a problem? I will have filled in all the forms on-line and I presume we can get luggage tags at the port?

The last couple of cruises we have been on we have not had to fill out the immigration forms. DCL said they were no longer necessary! Less forms to fill out.

Now, if they could just figure out how we could get our own luggage tags, we could save them hundreds of thousands of dollars and they wouldn't have to mail out the packets anymore.

We should just all work for DCL.......

That was my guess

Doing the Doc Dance :cool1::cool1::cool1: - got home to find the envelope sitting in the dining room - DD accepted it from the delivery person :flower3:

Looks like we'll be staying at the Swan according to the luggage tags which is fine by us since it's the smaller and more intimate of S/D. Now it's getting real :yay:

Have the packing list ready to go. Will look for the final FE information to make sure I have everything ready to go.

It's a beautiful day in Baltimore.:woohoo:

 I am so angry. My docs were delivered today, to my old address. Not only were they delivered to the wrong address, they had Jennifer's name on the package and not mine. So, even if I had tried to go and pick it up, I couldn't because my name isn't even on it.

I have DU as TA and I was given this song and dance about how although, Disney has my correct address, that they sent it to the "alternate" address that I had given them, them being the the TA not DCL, which happens to have been my old address. I never gave them an "alternate" address. DU asked me where should we have the docs sent. I said send mine and Azaria's to me and send Jennifer's hers. Well, I was told that they had to go to all of us individually or to one address only. They could not send two to one address and one to another address.

That is when I told her to send them all to me. That of course, was before we moved. Now, I tried to change my address online with DU, but could not see where to do that. So, I changed my profile at DCL and on my current reservation during the online check-in.

I think that there was some miscommunication between DU and DCL. But, I also think that this TA is not taking any responsibility at all. Now I know that I needed to email the TA with my current address, but didn't know that at the time. I fiqured since DCL were sending the docs out and I had change all of my info with them, then I was good to go.

But, eventhough DU could see that my address had changed, they did not bother to change this "alternate" address they had down for me. So, that is the address that they gave DCL. But how the names got messed up, I have no idea.

I no it's no big deal about the documents. But as someone has said here, it just makes it seem more real and fun.

Just wanted to vent.

Docs arrived this morning-good thing as no children were home.
I see we have some Virginians-we lived near Roanoke for 20+ years, we only moved to NC 2 1/2 year agos and my DH was raised in Springfield/Annandale.

Just joining the group. I am bouncing back from a 7 day in March. My husband and I are leaving the kids behind this time.
Anyone else going without kids? We have 5 DS, 4 at home.
Ocean Angel, we are staying at the Dolphin before our cruise. How are you getting to the resort? We're still looking for some transportation under $60! :scared1:
No documents here near Cleveland, Ohio either! I can't believe it's so close!

Our docs showed up today as well.

Brenda, our docs were lost for our last Disney cruise. Fortunately, Disney was able to overnight them to us. Hopefully DU will have them get them to you quickly.

We'll be cruising soon!

Robin
