August 13, 2009 - 10 Years of Wonderful Cruising

Scott-was thinking about the Soggy Moose Diving Company over the weekend. Took a drive up the mountains 20 minutes from the house to Silver Lake by the Brighton Ski Resort and thought about you and Lynn.

Here's some pics of our find:

I couldn't see these at work. Now, I get it. Great pictures, Linda.

Good Morning Everyone! Another day closer to the cruise!!!!

Ken

Okay gang, I am ready to put together the mini-nav's for this cruise to stay with the tradition of "doing our own". I know that as soon as I get on the ship I'll be asked for a copy so the ship can keep track of any of our activities.

I know we have a small group, so it will be easy to do.

So for anyone who would like to add anything in including birthday's, anniversaries, etc., send me a PM.

I will need to get the list from sunshine1259 once the FE is finalized. Everyone participating in the FE will be listed with their stateroom numbers in the mini-nav.

I've also got the pre-cruise DCL terminal meet with Ken handing out lanyards; the 5k at CC (which by the way is at 8:30 a.m., meet at the gangway); and a potential pre-cruise meet at WDW on Wed.

Okay, so once again PM me with anything you would like included!

Deadline for information: Saturday, August 1st, 5 p.m. mountain time.

Thanks!

P.S. Do you want me to schedule our usual group pirate picture?

We will be happy to host a pre-cruise get together at Old Key West from 2pm to 4pm on August 12.

I would suggest we pass on the pirate picture for this cruise.

Lanyard will be available from about 10:30 until boarding in the terminal. Location to be determined.

On board dismeet at 2:00pm on Deck 10, starboard side (pier side), overlooking the Goofy pool

That's my input - subject to change at any momment!

Ken

Long day yesterday getting ready to open the Tiki Bar.

Lynn can fill ya in on here knee, looks like she may have to put off the DL 1/2, I think she can forward her registration fee, or something like that.

I was stupid yesterday and picked up the Tiki bar and moved it by myself, back is a pinch sore today...

Relaxing this morn and watching The Tour..

Later kids we got a little cleaning up to do.

Just finished my FE kids gifts, and almost finished with the adults. Less than a month, YEAH!!

What kind of plans do people have for excursions. We rented a room at Comfort Inn Suites to get the four wristbands for Atlantis. The room cost $200 total, which was much cheaper than doing 4 excursions through Disney. We'll probably spend most of the day at the waterpark. We LOVE a good waterpark, and this one seems neat.

We're just going to have fun on the beach and ride bikes at CC.

What's everyone else doing?

Oh, and one other question. This is our second Disney cruise, so first time being Castaway Club members (or whatever it's called, I can't remember).

Do we get some kind of gift basket? I usually like to have some kind of basket waiting in the room for our family when we go on vacation, to make it a little more exciting. But, if we are going to get something from Disney, I figure I'll save my money and not order one myself (by the way, I used Shirley last time and the baskets were fabulous!!)

So, if anyone can let me know, I'd appreciate it. Oh, and if there is, what kind of stuff is usually in it?

Have a great day all!

Thanks. I remember on our cruise in March I saw quite a few people with a red and black Disney bag. I just assumed they had bought it on board, but maybe it was the return gift. It seemed like a really nice bag.

Hope they have a new gift before we sail. We got the red and black tote bag last year when we sailed the CC DD Aug. '08.

Thinking of booking the Best Western the night before-any comments?

I prefer the Holiday Inn Express that way if something happens I can Captain the ship, LOL

Raddison and BW are nice, but seriously we do the HI Express fro points or to use points.

Morning All,

Went for a bike ride this morning. I took the Pokka Dot and Green Jersey and Lynn got the Yellow. I thought I had a puncture and she slipped ahead.

French Toast fro Breakfast and Bahamian Rice and Peas with chicken for dinner

Good Morning Cruisers...

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

Scott & Lynn: please save me a stool at the Tiki Bar. It looks like a goodtime just waiting to happen!

Linda: The moose pics are amazing and only a 20 minute drive for such views?! If we drive 20 minutes all we will see are skyscrapers in NYC :sad2:
Its very nice of you to make the navigators. Our anniversary is 8/9 if you wouldn't mind including it. Thanks!

mumom95: The comfort suites room is a great deal. We went back and forth with that idea but decided on the dolphin encounter. DD has been beggining for this excursion since she heard we we're cruising.

Still open for the wdw meet. Will keep watching to see what you guys decide.

We'll be cruising soon!
Robin

Good Morning Cruisers!

Time is getting short, will have to start thinking about our FE gifts! Looking forward to seeing all our old friends and meeting new ones!

Have a great day all!

Good Morning Cruisers! Happy Monday!

We did plan our FE gifts yesterday, and made a door magnet. I now have the downstairs guest room finished, so I can temporarily turn it into my "packing room".

Have a great day all!

Will add to the mini-nav.

Yes, and actually, don't even need to leave the house for views. Our house is on the mountain and we can see the whole Salt Lake Valley from our house and/or deck. The canyon we drove up is only 2 minutes from the house. Yes, alot different than skyscrapers, that's for sure!

Very nice temp for the morning run, sunrise and then clouds and temp of about 60.

Looks like a full day at work and maybe tomorrow off, Pancake breakfast, which is really KEWL. They use it as training for feeding mass groups of folks in the event of a disaster. They feed about 12,000 people in about an hour, pancakes, ham, coffee, and juice. It is really an amazing thing to see and it is free. Pancake batter mixed in a cement mixer is KEWL!!!!

Have a great day Kids….

Hey, EVeryone. My friend has received her cruise docs and luggage tags. I am so jealous. I figured that they should start rolling in about the 3 week mark.

Anyone else receive theirs?
