Over the wkend i went back to the beginning of this thread that began May 2004 and read each posting!! I feel like i know you all even better and am more anxious for this trip!!!

Hi Janae - i checked the "navigators" that are scanned and available on Deb Wills' website www.allearsnet.com and didn't see anything that you're really going to miss Wed night (Pirates IN the Caribbean is tuesday)....but you might want to check out her website, there's a link to the WEST COAST Cruise from the home page - and maybe a direct link to the navigators from there as well....

By the way - for all of us doing the Mazatlan city tour that Arlene has arranged - my docs say we depart Mazatlan at 5 pm....

However - the current schedule is as follows (maybe just because it is a 6 day instead of 7 day cruise).

i'm traveling with my 14 DS Ryan; we too are leaving Dad at home and DS (but she's 24 and doesn't even live w/us anymore)
When are your Palo reservations? I am going to brunch there one day with Arlene (alohatee) but could possibly do another time there as well - i hear it's well worth it...looking forward to meeting you, Gabe & Eavan.
Will you be making it to the meeting/get together sat at 3 pm in the promenade lounge - deck 3

Yes, I'll try to make the first day meeting - but I have to say, with two small children I might be kidding myself.

I have reservations at Palo for 7 on Thursday night, which is semi-formal night, someone said. I tried to change them last night online and couldn't - the system said nothing else was available. I've heard, however, that you can add folks to existing reservations once on board - so perhaps we can make other changes once on board. In any case, I'll keep what I have.

ohhhh - they have really changed the schedule alot since Deb's "inaugural' cruise....that's okay - i can go without sleep if need be - to see/do everything!!! just don't mind me if i'm a little by week's end!!!

This thread is HOT - I turn off my computer for a few hours and when I return there are so many posts........not complaining. It is so great that the excitement is building up and our group is growing leaps and bounds.

JANAE - wish Sydney and Cecilia could get together, however, our Halau (hula school) will be celebrating their HOIKE (25th anniversary) on August 27 which means lots of practices because Cecilia will be missing some days when we are on the cruise. Cecilia is very excited to meet up with Sydney and Madison (Sherri's DD9).

SUSIE - your pix - wow...very beautiful & handsome (guys) family. You are computer savey (sp?)....I am still learning about this uploading.

KASEY - Brenda and I are doing brunch on Monday @ 11am - we can see once on board if we can add you to the reservation. Would you like to join us?

BRENDA - looking forward to seeing your door signs. Still working on mine....
Early morning for me is my quiet time to do my thing. I am a caregiver for our parents. Mornings until lunch time are usually spent doing eldercare (taking care of Mom (79) and Dad (81)) - both are fairly mobile and can still do some of the personal hygiene but still need assistance in other areas (laundry, breakfast/lunch preparation and housekeeping). They get a 5 star eldercare treatment (including back/leg/foot massage) every day. Afternoons - work part-time with Bank of America in the RE loan sales dept. Evenings - I am the hula aunty for Cecilia DN since my brother and sis in law are not into the hawaiian stuff. So this cruise is an overdue vacation time for ME. In regards to Mazatlan - Maz Frank guarantees us back at least an hour before departure time or we can stay at his B&B.

DIS MEMBER GOODIE BAGS:

I am organizing and starting one goodie bag for each DIS member (1 per family). Those who wish to participate (optional) can bring items to fill 20 bags. I am anticipating more DIS members will join the group before our departure. If not, we can raffle off the extra bags. Suggestions include keychains, postcards (the state you are from), movie candies/snacks, stickers, theme, DIS color lime green, or whatever you wish to share.

For those that can not make it to the 1st cruise meet, the goodie bags can be delivered to your stateroom. Please PM me your room numbers and I will PM everyone the list.

YES girl you are in DEFINITE need of this 'much deserved' vacation. You have a lot on your plate that is VERY MUCH appreciated by MANY i'm sure!!!!

Wed 8/17 1:30-4:00 Mazatlan-Frank city tour with DIS group!!!

candies! (i'm thinking m&m's...only cuz i love them! i'd get m&m's peanuts. are there any children that are allergic to peanuts? if so, i can get plain ones! only reason i ask is because our DS6 is allergic to peanuts, and he knows he can't have anything peanuts!) i figure candies are good, can use them anytime!

where do we give them to you? and i assume you need those mickey tag things. do you need me to label them for you w/the family names/code names? just let me know! i can even string lime green ribbons around it, and that way, when you get them on the ship, it'd be easy to for you to tie it around your goodie bags?

oh this is getting so exciting!!!!!!

as for computer savvy...i am SO NOT!!!!!!! i got help from Brenda & couple others on another thread! if i could do it, anyone can! i used photobucket. just go to their website, upload your pix, and use their url address thing that they provide for your pix, and copy & paste it onto your signature on the disboard thing! that simple! like i said, if i could do it, anyone can!
and thank your for the compliment on my family! yes, i think my boys (all three of them!! ha ha) are a handsome bunch! ok, i'm biased!

DS bought golden Mickey ears to WDW in April. Maybe I'll see if he wants to bring them. I would think the best place to buy them in DL would be the Emporium. They have just about everything.

We are arriving at John Wayne Airport on 8/11 around 11:40. We're taking a private Super Shuttle to GC where we will meet up with in-laws. We're planning on doing Remember fireworks tonight.

8/12 - DL and CA - 10:30 Fantasmic on the Balcony.

8/13 - DCL bus at 12:10 to port.
3:00 DIS meet
4:30 Sailaway party and then early dinner

PV - Dolphin Encounter 2:00 pm
Mazatlan - Horseback Riding/pool excursion - not sure of the time - I think 1:30
Cabo - Resort Pool getaway - not sure of time (I guess I should check ).

I cant keep up with this thread anymore. Im glad there are a lot of us though.

Lets see what I can remember to answer...

What are these goodie bags? Are we supposed to bring something? How many? Any ideas of what is needed?

And yes, Cam is allergic to peanuts, but dont change your plans for him.

Our plans include...
The Dolphin Encounter for Kids in PV at 9:30,
In Mazatlan we are going to a public beach, not an organized excursion,
In Cabo, our only plan is to check out Cabo Wabo, but I may try to get to a beach too.
Thursday we have the couples massage at 3:15 and Palo at 8:00.

We werent sure what dining time we wanted. We had late but were waitlisted for early. I think we ended up getting early(docs say main), but now I'm leaning toward wanting late. If we can change it and get our own table (this is something I really want, and am hoping to get), I will change it. I'm looking at the Sailaway party is at 5:00, right? If I have to be ready for dinner at 6:00, I'll miss that. That stinks! Plus eating all day I dont think we will be hungry for dinner by 6:00. So, Ill be visiting the dining assignment changes area upon boarding.
