Hello everyone. Just waiting for my doc also. Welcome Courtney. My daughter Carolyn is also 5 and my son is 7 Matthew. I have asked my kids if they want to go to the Oceaneers Club. My son always says he just wants to walk around with us. He is a little shy to start. However since this time his sister will be able to go to the club and be in the same age group I think he will be better about checking in. We always bring both of them to the dinners with us. He loves to order the food. Does anybody else have the late seating (8:30)???

Let me see these are the names I am starting to remember Nancy, Susie, Arlene, Brenda, Courtney, Katie and Becky. I feel sort of strage I am the only dad here on the chat room. My wife thinks I am nuts. Oh well you gotta have one in the family.

My 5 yo, Evan, is just the opposite. He says he can't wait to play with the other kids and go swimming. I have a feeling I'll be begging him to spend some quality time with me.

Goodmorning everyone. I am staying at a San Francisco hotel with free internet access for the weekend with my wife and daughter. Got up early and was going to walk around Union square but found this free internet computer site and just had to see if anyone wrote since yesterday.

We are having my daughters 5th birthday party at build a bear workshop at the Cannery near Fisherman's wharf today. We were just planning on a weekend escape but my wife wanted to have a birthday party with just my daughter. My son is not here because he is attending Punahou summer school in Hawaii. He has only one more week to go. He gets to spend his 7th birthday with Grandma and Aunty in Hawaii. So since my daughter and son's birthdays are so close she has never had a solo birthday party. So this is it.

We have late seating. After reading some of the reviews we decided to keep late seating and not wait list early seating. This way we can see the shows early in the evening and don't have to rush to dinner after the port days. Also I figure it is vacation. So we should stay up really late at night and play. Then get up really late in the morning and have a late breakfast / early lunch.

Question? Do you hang the door sign on the outside of your door? Arlene are you really making different signs for each day. Wow I thought I had a lot of free time. Actually I shouldn't be spending so much time on this chat room but oh well.

hi doc - it's really cool that you're addicted to this chat site as much as some of the rest of us!!! Hope you three are having / had a great day in the city!!!
You're right - it is vacation and you (we all) SHOULD stay up late and enjoy as much as possible!!! All of this planning and waiting and waiting and waiting for just one week - i won't want to sleep at all!!!!

Thanks for letting my family join you and Mazatlan Frank. Looks like we will be doing the city tour with you in the afternoon. I was looking for a tour guide and thanks to this web site found Mazatlan Frank.

We did a similar tour with a guide called Godfrey in St. Thomas and liked being to tour the island and see the sites for less money and with a local.

Are you doing the horseback riding in the morning???

Hi DocDisney (Randall): You are welcome. We are soooooo glad that your family can join us. The city tour with Mazatlan Frank was a "must see and do" excursion. We are horseback riding with Randi in the morning then lunch at Victors.

Happy Birthday Miss Carolyn - hope you enjoyed your day at Build a Bear workshop. It is Cecilia's favorite place. Sending more pixie dust to another year of good times and good health.

DocDisney - about the door signs - Powerpoint manic here so it gives me an opportunity to teach Cecilia how to make them. So.... between us - we can do it!!! She loves the computer.

I need this vacation badly. MIL just e-mailed me as to why I got her 5 tickets for Fantasmic buffet when she only needs 3. I specifically asked her in April how many she needed and she said 3 for herself and nieces and 2 for BIL and wife. These are non-refundable. If she refuses them I hope I can find someone to take them.

I will not do any more for her for this cruise!

Brenda - the only problem with e-bay is that I won't physically have the tickets until we check in on 8/11. They are at the hotel. (but I did think of that - great minds think alike).

hey all! just came back from sd...and boy, so much posts!!

first of all, welcome, Courtney! glad to have you here!

Randall...how did your DD like build a bear? we did our DS3's 2nd b-day there. it was so cute!! he loved the part where they threw all the hearts all over!!

Nancy...having extra tix...hope everything turns out ok.

oh, you all got to hear about my "extra tix" story. remember we were heading into legoland, and several of you mentioned that there are places that offer discount tix to legoland? and i said, my DH got some thru his work...anyways, i FORGOT to take them w/me!! before we left, i checked & brought our hotel confirmation, padres tix, and double checked to make sure those 2 things were in my little backpack. yes, ok. we're set! (i had completely blocked out saturday...legoland day!) it didn't even cross my mind that we were going to legoland!!! can you believe it?!?! so as we were looking for our hotel, i blurted out...OMG! i forgot the legoland tix!!!!! anyways, so we headed to costco to get some tix! (and do you recall me saying how he loves to go to various costco's?? this was an "extra" for him! )

anyways, now we've got 4 extra legoland tix!

Trey can't do the dolphin excursion. I think it's only for ages 4 and over. If thats not correct let me know. I would love for him to pet the dolphin.
I really want to do the Paradise Beach excursion but I think that that may be a little too much for us to do two excursions in one day. R U doing the dolphin excursion?

What time are you scheduled to leave for PV beach excursion?
I'll think about it...I really want to go but after reading several post, I think one beach excursion (cabo beach break) is enouph. I hear the kids can really take advantage of the Mickey Pool. My friend said the pool was really crowded and it took her dd 30 minutes to stand in line and go down the Mickey's slide. Sound like a water park

Unless we decide to do something else in Cabo....we will keep the PV beach excursion.

oh gotcha...i haven't done the buffet at Fantasmic here....after being at Fantasmic in WDW and having PS - it will be hard to go back to the 'waiting' for hours at DL - so i will need to check out the buffet seating our next trip down...

I think you need a VACATION!!! How about a Disney cruise???? Glad you had a great time in SD though. I think my DH would have had a complete meltdown if i had forgotten the tix; so it's really awesome that yours saw the bright side of it and looked forward to another Costco outing!!!

no that ground is not fun thats for sure and you don't get perfect viewing - i'm really spoiled after experiencing it at MGM....I really wish/hope that DL can find a way to do some addl seating. i love that show - but being only 5'1" tall - i never have a great view...always someone in front of me!

I have to take DM to the doctor today so I'm 1/2 expecting to find my documents waiting when I get home.

It was so exciting yesterday reading all about DL's anniversary celebration. I can't wait to get there now.

Susie - tell your DH we booked our trip through Costco.

Happy Monday All~ well i made two door signs at my 'crop' this weekend. One for everyday and one for "Pirates Night" day....probably won't do any more. They turned out pretty good, and i tried uploading them - but the files were too large and the photopost wouldn't accept them. I used all CM products - so they can transfer into my album when we return home.

For you scrapbookers here - i almost completed my 26th personal photo album as well over the wkend. I will have that done before sailing, and I'm creating one entire album for the cruise. I did one full album for our trip to WDW too and i'm so glad i did that. I usually just incorporate our vacations into our family album...but with over 400 photos, i was able to do a full album.
