August 13, 2005

I hope the people on next week's cruise post like the people on the repositioning cruise. I'm dying to see some Navigators from the Mexican Riviera cruise.

Hopefully I can book the in-laws excursions Sunday. Then we're all set!!!!!

hi everyone! happy memorial day! i know, a day early...but everyone's celebrating!

hey, i know some of you are here in southern cal...if you're interested, do you want to go down to san pedro one saturday? i think i've read that some of you have already been on saturday. what do you think? if your schedule permits...maybe we can set up a day/time, and eat there? and meet up? just a thought...

am planning to go down sometime before our cruise, to look at the ship! get a bit familiar w/ the location.. it was so great seeing it on tv! and pix on the various threads!

starwood...did you get your inlaws excursions squared away?

will talk to you all soon! :flower:

DH is going to try at 9:00 am. I tried yesterday and got the same thing "call Monday". I told them my countdown said 75 days but when I figure out for the sailing that would be 75 00 hours around 7:00 am today (talk about picky).

San Pedro is a little far for us to go (from North Jersey :)). I really can't wait to get on the ship again. My passporter should be here this week and I can't wait to read what they have to say about the Mexican cruises. I was re-reading my old one last night from 2002 (it's really out of date).

Update - got them booked for Horseback riding in Mazatlan and resort pool in cabo but Dolphin swim was filled. Booked them as observers and I'll guess I'll call everyday to see if there are any cancellations. :confused3 I would think they would have some kind of a wait list.

which horseback riding are you doing in mazatlan? it's not thru dcl, right? is it randi's happy horses? or something else on your own?

we're doing randi's...a bit "worried" about our little ones. but oh well. trying not to stress over it!

yes, jersey is a bit too far.

isn't this exciting? we're starting to see reports on things. i've been reading everything here & there!

here's my next "obsession"...our dining rotation, and character breakfast! if everything goes "as planned", we'd be ok. but if i get this one particular rotation...i've got to rearrange things around! cuz i don't want to miss character breakfast. so i'm hoping i won't get that one particular rotation. keeping my fingers crossed.

are you a stay at home mom? or maybe you work where you have easy access to a phone? good luck w/ the rest of your excursions. at least, you've got most of them! yay!!!!

bye for now! :flower:

Well - we are changing our Dolphin Swim into a Dolphin Encounter and instead of going at 9 we're going at 2.

We're doing the horseback through Disney (the youngest with us will be 12 and the 12 and 14 year old have a horse of their own). DS has never ridden a horse by himself but I'm sure he'll be fine. He'll be 13 when we go. I'm sure the little ones will have very quiet calm horses. The horses do this every day and sometimes even if you tried to turn them in the wrong direction they know where they are supposed to go. Many years ago we took a mule ride down the cliffs in Molokai to the leper colony. It was a sheer drop on one side. We learned not to even try to steer the mules.

I'm getting so excited. I can't wait to get on the ship and RELAX!!!!!!!!!!

We've decided not to do any excursions (we are just preparing to sign on a new house and put more money there than we anticipated), so, we'll hang out in port. I have a high school friend who owns a resort in Cabo and we'll go visit her - and the kids are thrilled just to play in the pool all day.

Yesterday, I did book our spa and Palo reservations as well as registered the kids for the kids club. That was a great idea for Disney to put that online. We're off to get the passports this week and then we are all set and ready to go.

We are so excited! :bounce:

:cool1: :Pinkbounc  :cheer2: Yes I paid off our cruise today and booked excursions and registered my son for the clubs. It is a great feeling to have all this done!!!! plus I printed out all my forms and filled them out!!! :earboy2: :jumping1: Now I can be even more excited. YIKES..... I better sllllooooooooowwwwwwwww down or I will be like this  by the time we cruise. hehehehahhaah :dancer: :dancer: :dancer:

Congratulations.......I had that great feeling last week...... :Pinkbounc :bounce: and to make the week complete saw the Disney Magic on Sat for the 1st West Coast send off. It was a MAGICal moment :cool1: The Disney Magic horn was awesome - to the tune of "When you wish.....". We were wishing we were already on board. :flower:

Our excursions are:
PV - Dolphin Encounter/Observer 11am
Mazatlan - Randi's Happy Horses 830am
Cabo - Land's End Cruise 12pm

We are getting soooooo excited.....look forward to meeting everyone.

How cool to see the Magic, alohatee. It wont be long until we are all on it.

rsjj, Im obsessing over that too. We called Debbie regarding the REAS(the woman who everyone raves about on the boards) and she told me a different schedule for the character breakfast than what I hear it really is. She also gave me the wrong times, so I'm assuming she is wrong about the schedule too. I hope so or ours could interfer with our couples massge. Im trying to get an answer from the current cruisers but no luck so far. UGH!

And the good news is, after some problems with my credit card (they claim it was out dated, but its really a new card  ), our cruise is finally paid off!!! Well, on paper at least, LOL! Just gotta sign the kids up for the clubs and print out the forms. Wahoo!!!! :cool1:

yes, i read your thread...so thus, my "obsession"! it's just never ending! i wish it was august already!! :flower:

I got my Passporter yesterday :cool1: - it's so informative about the Mexican cruises. They have a website listed to book the Dolphin Swim on your own. I'm going to check it out. Maybe we can do it on our own (and save money in the long run).

anything on it, that you'd care to share? must be exciting reading all about it! :flower:

I don't have it with me right now (DS took it to school with him). They have a detailed description of Pirate Night (along with the menu which sounds delicious!). I read the teen section carefully as I had no need of this until this cruise. There is also a lot of information about the ports we will be visiting. The website for the dolphin excursions is www.dolphin-adventures.com. The price is cheaper but I'm just not sure how we would get there. With 7 of us we would need 2 cabs. We will probably buy one and have it sent to MIL because I think it would really help her since she's never been on a DCL before.

Hey Everyone
I'm all set. I just need to complete my paper work :). I continued to call DCL in regards to our excursions. Good News we were able to book the Cabo beach break, Dolphin encounter and the Paradise beach break. All of these excursions were booked the day i was approved to call. I kept calling and finally I was able to book. I guess there were cancellations or they were just sick of me :rotfl2:

Our Dolphin encounter is at 2:00 and I reserved the Paradise Beach Adventure from 7:40 am to 11:40. Do u guys think that's doing a bit much?
Have any of you heard good things about the Paradise beach excursion?
My daughter wants to do the dolphin stuff ...and i want to go to the beach so I booked both but thought that was going to be exhausting.

I have no idea when to book Palo. As of right now it's booked for Tuesday night @ 9:00 I have late seating dinner and I'm hoping that's not a night that we are supposed to have the formal night or anything else special.

So when are we going to decide when and where to meet on our cruise?
Does anyone have any idea yet? As u can see I really wanted to chat today :)

Chat with you guys soon

JayCee - We'll see you then. We are also on the 2:00 Dolphin Encounter. We are doing the resort pool on Cabo instead of the Beach Break. I thought it would be nicer to have a big pool.

Since we are a small group we could meet in the Promenade Lounge around 3:00 (before lifeboat drill).

Hi:

We will be leaving on the Magic August 20th, the day you all return and wondered if anyone was from San Diego and would like to share the cost of limo service. We have 7 people and lots of luggage and since we fly back from Florida thought it would be the best way to get to San Pedro. However, the cost of a one way drop off is so outrageous compared to roundtrip service I thought maybe someone on your cruise might need a ride back to San Diego:flower2:

PM me if you are interested and have a fabulous cruise

Jaycee, I believe Tuesday is the Pirate night (PV day?).

Starwood, 3:00, before the lifeboat drill sounds great. Since we all will have Palo & Spa booked and kids singed up, we wont have to worry about running around crazy that first day. How nice! :goodvibes

Starwood that time and location sounds good to me. That should be the plan. i am ready to type that on our family cruise schedule. Does everyone agree?

So Tuesday is Pirate night. :( I have no clue on when to book Palo. Can someone helppppp!!!! :) Please. What exactly is Pirate night? What will I miss if I go to Palo.

3 at promenade lounge (?) sounds like a plan!

JayCee32...we have the same time frame for the paradise beach excursion! as for pirate night...don't have "first hand knowledge", but from what i read here, it's a special menu at dinner, and a deck party afterwards, around 9:30? maybe someone has more details?

isn't this all so exciting? seems like everything is starting to "fall into place"!! :flower:
