From what I heard(dont know if its true), formal night is Sunday, semiformal is Thursday and Pirate night is Puerta Vallarta day (Tues, I think).

that's the info i have as well! i just love to eat, so all the menu looks good! i just couldn't decide on which one to skip! hee hee...

i can't wait to see what others will post when they start going on their west coast cruises...so we'd get more of an "idea" about things to come! isn't this really exciting?!

are your kids excited? one of my DS5's classmate just went on a dcl! i'm so jealous! they're on the 4 day wonder, doing several days at the park before their cruise! how fun! our 2 DSs are looking forward to it. although i'm sure it's not to the extent as i am, i suppose! i am just so excited!! i keep thinking what i should pack...although i'm trying to focus on work, but it's kinda hard! oh well!

JayCee32-what classes are you taking? i'm glad they have some spots blocked out! that would only be fair!

I am not sure when we will be getting into California. We booked through disney and then changed to a TA. I have been told that we will not know when our flight is until about 30 days out possibly not until we get our papers . Our TA said that disney tries to book you on the first flight out and that would be around 6 am from Seattle. I have asked about the day before and they said that because it isn't winter and we are not flying to Florida that they book the same day. They said that we can change our flight once we get our tickets and pay a 50.00 fee . not sure we want to do that because then we will have to find a hotel last min. too. I am hoping for a lot of Pixie Dust that all goes well. Everyone keeps telling us just to relax it will be fine. I hope so!

Our DIS shirts arrived yesterday. I won't wear mine until the cruise - but it's killing me. I think I was having a cruise dream when I woke up this morning.

if you transferred your reservations to a ta, can't you book your own flight? or maybe it was a whole package thing? we booked our first cruise through our ta, but did our own air through travelocity (or orbitz?), so we can pick our own time! our ta told us if they were to do it, they would go through those online channels, anyways! so we just looked around, waited for the right time, when prices were right, and booked our flight online on our own. turned out great!

anyways, just a thought!

starwood-how are the shirts? i know what you mean about wanting to wear them! i bought stuff for the cruise...skirts, shirts, etc., and told myself it's for the cruise, but...hey, couldn't wait! so i'm wearing some already! but...i told myself, i'll only wear them a little bit! ha! oh well, there's always more stuff at the mall!

Yes I could cancel the airfare part of my trip but our TA said that right now it isn't worth it. Air fares are very high . She continues to check prices, so do I.
We have thought about staying at Disneyland but in order to stay at Disney we would need to book 2 nights, we have 4 foster children that we need to get off to camp while we cruise so we can't spare 2 nights. It is still a thought but I don't think it will become anything else.

Watching the Panama Canal thread has really got me psyched up for this cruise. I really wish we were doing the east bound repo. Maybe we can just "forget" to get off the ship.

thanks for the info on the shirts. I wasn't sure if anyone could order or if you had to be a certain level to order.
I saw the other day how they had availability on the repo in Aug. and after watching the post yesturday I said to my DH lets do that one it was about $2000. more than the one we have booked now. Oh well we already have the kids booked for camp. Hopefully they will do it again. It looked as though it would be an awsome time.

Hey DIS Friends

Is the pirate night the same as the Tropical night?
I read people saying were having a tropical night and I wasnt
sure what to wear. I know what to wear for tropical night but no clue
on pirate night. Any suggestions?

Bcnb103- I just became a mouseketeer so I'm assuming that once you post
75 post you can become one also. I registered on this board I think in February.

Camcolt- My dd (8) will do the dolphin swim in PV. Im trying to change her mind and have her just do the Dophin Encounter so I wouldn't have to get in the water with her. I've Swam with Dolphins in Hawaii and it's a little too expensive to do it again ...but she wants to hold on to there fin and have them swim around her Is your family doing the dolphin thing also?

Rsjj- I am taking physiology...so that's why I'm a little nervous about taking the class and going on the cruise. If it was a easy class like speech or sociology I would not have a problems taking the class and going on the cruise.

From what ive been reading sounds like we will be booking another cruise while were on our cruise. Ive never been to Disney World and wanted to know which cruise will be best for the family. I dont think dh would want to be on the ship for 7 days.

Jaycee, my kids are doing the kids dophin encounter (ages 4-8) in PV, and DH and I are going along as observers. I think they would get a big kick out of it, and since they both make the age(they are 5&8) for this one, I figured that was best. It wont be too overwhleming I hope.

This is the excursion thats not listed on the website, or at least it wasnt 2 weeks ago. We had to call to book it.

Well, I was in TDS today and bought a Mickey sundress for dinner one night. I think I will go back and get DSs and DH the matching shirt. I should have bought them while there, but I wasnt sure if I would like the dress and keep it once I tried it on.

hi everyone! just thought i'd say hello! and guess what??!! i just got an email from dl stating that they used our pix we submitted for the happiest faces thing! i am so excited! now we have to go to dl to check them out! i turned in 5, and they used all 5 of them!! i am so excited, i just can't wait to see ourselves! it's pretty cool! our DSs are so excited, they can't wait to "look for us"!!
