August 13, 2005

Thanks for the welcome to the Aug 13 Magic! I have to admit the idea of California is growing on me and it would be the perfect excuse to go there since I probably never will again.

CamColt...don't hesitate! come on out! it'd be fun, your family will have a blast! :wave2:

My DH, DS (11), DD (11) (not twins), and myself are on this cruise. We are in Cat 9 stateroom 2108. This will be our first time cruising and the kids and I are very excited. DH isn't too thrilled, but he's going! We aren't doing the DL side trip as we go quite often.

I have been waiting for Disney to bring the ships to the West Coast and wanted to be on the first one, but the kids were still in school, so we decided on the last one before it goes back east.

I wish it was this August, but I guess that just means a few more trips to DL before we go!

Will your DS be 11 on the cruise? My DS will be 13 when we sail - his birthday is in July. He has been dying to find another boy his age on this cruise.

starwood-

He will be 11 when we set sail! I think he's too young to get into the teenage "clubs"

I wish DS could still go to the Lab. He really loved it last time because we gave him sign-out privileges and he had a friend that he met on the ship. I'm still hoping to hook him up with someone before we leave. I guess we still have time.:p

I wish it was this August also. We just bought into DVC which should be finalized by next month. I'm dying to start using our points.

:earseek: Hi all, Just a quick note just to say hi.
Hope you all have a great 4th. :cool1:
I have the day off :D Maybe going down the Cape. Not sure.

Anyway have a safe and happy 4th.

Faith:rockband:

you too. I'm heading home after being away for two weeks so I'm looking forward to spending time with the kids and hubby!

Nothing special planned here. We will probably go the next town over tomorrow night for their fireworks. Other than that I hope it's a quite 4th.

we're just going over to our friends' place. they bbq, we bring side dishes, everyone brings fireworks, and have a blast at night. the kids really enjoy this! and so do we!

anyways, had to ask...how many of you are disappointed that we won't be going to castaway cay? i know i am! kinda bummed out about that!!

oh well...can't have everything, i guess.:wave2:

Thanks, and enjoy your holiday too, everyone! :D

Faith, I hope you beat all the traffic if you went. ;)

::yes:: yes traffic!
we have to leave here very early in the am to beat the traffic. We should not hit any on the way home because we are not staying overnight, on Monday it will be murder.

HAVE FUN ALL!!!!

I am disappointed to not be going to CC, but I'm happy to finally be going on one. I also got the hubby to agree to go on another cruise in 2006, so we're going the Florida route next time!!

It would be nice to work in CC but I'm really looking forward to the 3 new ports. I can't wait until some details start coming out about these cruise in May (when they start).

I to am bummed about no CC. It is such a beautiful island and a great way to end the cruise. Im dying to hear about excursions and stuff too. I definitely want to do at least 1 beach day, but I know nothing about those ports.
BTW, I still havent heard from DCL about my cancelled cruise so things are still up in the air, however I think DH is totally gung ho for the California cruise. Im getting excited too. I hope we can work it out.

Oh my gosh! I hadnt even though of how many days.
Actually from when I booked my original cruise it was over 500, under 400 sounds great. ;)
It will be here so fast!!!:Pinkbounc

Hi CamColt I just noticed that you were going to Bermuda next month. :boat: Are you going on the Norwegian Majesty? Where in Ma are you?
I went on the Majesty about 4 years ago and I loved it. Grant you it's not Disney but I had a ball. Bermuda it so beautiful the water is a color like you have never seen before. they have some great shore excursions as well. :moped: The only thing I did not like was, every time we went to the evening show you had to walk right through the casino and that was the only place you could smoke (and I don't smoke) it was gross:( . I hope that part has changed. I did like that you could go to dinner anytime you wanted but I love the way Disney does it. :earseek: I love getting the same wait staff and you will not get that from Norwegian. OMG, you have to let me know how it all is right now because I really want to go back to Bermuda again.:hyper:
