August 12, 2006-DIS DREAMS DO COME TRUE-Magical Western Cruise

Inside the docs it says to go online now and register. Is this just telling you that you can fill out the documents online instead of writing on the forms? And don't you still have to print the online forms and take them with you to the port? Anyone know?

There is a signature page that needs to be printed once you finish up the on-line registration. It ismy understanding that you only need to bring that sheet (one per adult) along w/ a Passport to get onto the boat. It looks like the only paperwork left to do is the Bahamas customs form which I don't think you can do online.

Since this is our first cruise, I have no idea how much easier this is than in years past. It seems very efficient to me, so I'm happy. If I'm mistaken, please let me know.

Oh, and DW had a question today. Since we're staying at the Swan the night before, can we just put the cruise line tags on our bags there and assume the luggage will show up on the boat? We're thinking if we can do that, we will just drop off our rental car as a family and take the shuttle over vs. splitting up.

Thanks for the reply Bob. I guess I should take a look at the online forms since I haven't done that yet. I am just so use to filling out the ones I get from DCL. Maybe I call DCL tomorrow and ask them just to make sure.

I know they do the luggage thing at the Hyatt at MCO and possibly if you are staying on property and taking DCL transportation. But as far as I know if you are getting yourself to the port then you will need to take your own luggage. We have always taken a limo to the port I someone might know about this better than me.

I'm not sure about the Swan since it's a Disney hotel. If your ground transportation will be provided from the Swan then you would put your tags on after you arrive at the hotel.

We're staying at the MCO Hyatt the night before, so I called DCL for clarification. We are to let the Hyatt know at check-in that we are DCL guests, and then they'll give us the pick-up time schedule for the next morning. DCL said they run every 20 mins. starting at 10:30am. I was hoping for earlier, but oh well... She specifically told me to put the luggage tags on after we arrive at the hotel.

Hope this helps.

It's my understanding that you may only use the DCL luggage transportarion if you have purchased DCL transfers to the port.

LeiLani

The on-line check in saves time because the CM doesn't have to type all the the information they receive from you on the morning you arrive at the port. Just a quick verification and your done, Terry printed two pages from the on-line sign-in process.
1.)DCL Contract Signatures
2.)Payment Authorization Summary

From the documents received in the mail we had the Bahamas-Immigration Arrival Cards that need to be filled out and brought to the port.

I have sent new PM's to Pam, Bob, Louise, Laura, Tia/Donna, Donna, Michelle and LeiLani.

Beckie - thanks for the information regarding registering online. That sounds like it makes everything eaiser so I will make sure everyone in our party does that.

DO NOT PANIC , Donna !!!!

Even if your docs are late, you can always make their on line check in and :cheer2: YOU ARE READY TO EMBARK !!!!
We learnt in the past years that you just need to be in Disney files !!! that is all !!!!!!!! and all you need to get on board is ... :surfweb: on line !!!!

I was a little disappointed in the lack of info. with the docs as well. I figured since I already did the paperwork on-line that I didn't need that much paperwork anyway. Thank goodness for technology, huh? :thumbsup2

Wish I was going on a pre-cruse vacation. I want to start packing and sail away :boat:

Have any of you veterans done a couples massage at the spa? I'm thinking about it :scratchin

Terry and I did the Couples Massage last year and we both really enjoyed it...

WARNING: We had two young beautiful Swedish Masseuse waiting in the treatment room ...Terry was very nervous when we first arrived. He did relax after a few minutes and enjoyed the massage. He then purchased every product they showed him $$$. They are all still here unopened and unused. :rotfl2: SO BE CAREFUL.

Beckie,

Thanks for the tip :rotfl: I was wondering if there was going to be a "hard sell" of their products :scared1: Do they get their tip that day, or after the cruise with the rest?

Well in Terry's case it was an "EASY SELL" :lmao:

They receive their tip at the end of the treatment, they will give you a bill to sign and there is a place provided to add your tip.

Beckie - I know you watched the Tour de France, did you see Landis has just been tested positive for doping? That can't be good. I think it was the test after the 17th stage.
