Well, I didn't stay up or get up at 3am but I just got done doing all my booking. Was able to get what I wanted, but I don't like the fact that they only let you book up to 4 people in Palo now.

Oh ya , I see your point !! but I bet your parents will be able to get your same time on May 14th !!!
If I'm right they do not have tables for 6 at Palo ...

Have you already booked SPA treatments as well ??

Loved the wake up call from Marco!

Got all that I wanted, apart from a good nights sleep! Ben came bouncing in 7:30 this morning.

I have Palo's on the Tuesday, the earliest seating (6pm) Brunch is on the Monday, the latest one for that (11:30) and High Tea on Thursday. Also booked the Stingray city tour. Tim couldn't believe that I stayed up, he was "what were you doing?" Watching a lot of trashy TV, which I rarely get to do, so it wasn't all bad!

We're probably going to take the laptop, but try the unlimited package for the terminals (they have them in Cove Cafe too) If he has an emergency, well he will be the guy on the deck by Mickey's pool with the laptop, looking a little less slightly relaxed as those around...but at least he will have access to beer!! Fingers crossed, but August is usually not his busy time..

I am going to have to meet your husband...and I'll probably be the guy sitting next to him. My reality is a bit different - I quit a job last fall where I was at everyone's beck and call to start my own business. Still have to be just as accessible but for some reason it doesn't bother me one bit because I know it's all for me and my family. Yeah, it's good to be disconnected for a bit - and I used to insist on it at least one week a year in my previous job. But if your husband is anythign like me...I am more relaxed knowing that all is under control and if that means an hour of checking in every day - by the pool with a cocktail - I'm all for that!

Morning/Afternoon

Hi everyone, now that the day is half over I'm up and awake.

Terry set an alarm for 2:30am last night for me as a backup if I fell asleep. I was awake at 2:20am then at 2:30am the alarm woke me. The 10 minute nap then kept me awake until 5:00am.

Donna, don't worry like Laura said they always hold some reservations for booking on ship. Not everyone on the ship is a DIS Member most people don't get up at 3:00am, most don't even book on their first booking date.

I'm the same person that waited in line all day and half the night before Christmas when the X-Box 360 games came out to be sure my nephews had one. Now that was a FUN Day @ Walmart.

Board a 65-foot catamaran for a seafaring adventure, including a chance to explore beneath the surface as you snorkel among tropical corals and exotic fish. Which one did you book?

I booked the Stingray City Snorkel, it just goes to see the Stingrays. The water is not so deep on that one, as it's just on a sand bar, still might get over Ben's head, but I think he would be disappointed he couldn't swim down to the coral. Probably a bit ambitious for him at the moment. He will still be able to do a bit of snorkeling and meet some 'rays. I'm pretty excited, it really doesn't seem too far away now!

I may change ours, I'm not even sure if we will get to swim with the stingrays. I thought the reef and sailing on the catamaran sounded like fun.

Ben will probably be the one out on the sand bar directing the Stingrays. Be sure to take your camera so we can all see the interaction.

That's funny, you've never met him, but you have him sussed (worked out) completely. He is SO outgoing. I do wonder where he gets it from, not from his shy, reserved English parents that's for sure. Chances are when he meets any of you guys, any of the women folk will get a hug, you've been warned!! We got a time of 9:45 for the Stingray thing, which is perfect, I'm trying to avoid too many early starts.

BUT luckily enough !!!! NOBODY WORKS in Italy FIRST WEEKS OF AUGUST !!!!!!!!!!!

That is WHY we can be on vacation ONLY in August !!! he still gets calls ... but at least his laptop had always stayed at home ... so far !!!

I too do understand MEN has to get that money home ... so wives can spend it !!!

Good Sunday Morning(Afternoon) Everyone!

It has done nothing but rain here since Friday night. It's a light rain, but it still just rains and rains and rains. I think I could probably build my own boat by now and float away. They say it is supposed to rain until tomorrow sometime. I sure would like a little sun!

I especially don't like the rain because our dog(btw- his name is stitch ) doesn't like the rain so he won't take care of his business outside.

Well the outgoing part must be that dual US citizen thing. Let me see, he wants the Chocolate Tower, he has a dog Snoopy (soft toy) that keeps him up with his barking, he is very conscientious when it comes to his clothes, (has a GQ style going) he loves to give HUGS (probably likes to snuggle). "I know him." I have 10 nephews (youngest is 6) that I'm crazy about. So like Laura, I don't mind hugs at all.

Saw just a touch of sunshine today(for about 15 mins ) and then it started raining again. Oh well, I keep hoping it will come out tomorrow.

Beckie - the bad thing is he likes to go on my carpet. Of course he is a puppy and we are still trying to house train any way, but the rain sure does not help. He has done pretty good today and only had one accident so I will just keep my fingers crossed.

Laura - thanks for the thoughts on the sunshine. Keep it up and we might get some yet.

My DW and I are talking about "what ifs" -- What if DD2 DOES like Flounders and we end up with a couple of moments of adult time? And we'll keep it clean here! We know that DD7 is going to be fine at OC - she is VERY social and talks about "when I make a friend on the first day, can we make plans to be in the club together - to go to the Goofy sleepover," etc.

But if we get lucky - DD2 watches the video and when Flounders comes up she says "I wanna go there" so our fingers are crossed.... But if we get lucky, here is our plan:

1. We'll book 3 or 4 two-hour windows just in case. The first one we will use to just hang out. Swim in the adult pool, have a drink at the Cove..walk around the ship..explore everything we can and that we might not be able to do with both kids with us. IF we dont' get the call to come and get her, then we'll go onto the second two hour window another day.

2. During that one, we will pre-book something in the spa - couple's massage if we can get it in the private cabana. I'm assuming there is a cancellation policy - one that allows us to cancel with some kind of notice..so if we do the first Flounders and it doesn't work, we can then cancel, correct?

3. If that works, then we will play the rest by ear. Maybe get some additional time together that would be such a luxury.

We're not going to book Palo at all only because we go out to a lot of nice dinners - both here and when we travel..both with and without kids (our DD7 is a GREAT restaurant kid..always has been). So I'd rather not "waste" our precious free time getting dolled up for dinner and sitting through a long meal. I'd rather hit one of the nightclubs if we can do a nighttime thing.

Anyway, what do all of you think?
