August 12, 2006-DIS DREAMS DO COME TRUE-Magical Western Cruise

I do too! Pluto's always been my favorite. My DD7 thinks I'm crazy when we go to the parks and i must get my photo with Pluto (I think Pluto thinks so too, but that's all part of the Disney magic for me).

I have three questions posted on the main cruise site in case any of you can answer, especially re Spa cancellation -- and COZ and GC questions.

Jeff

Whew! I was able to get all of the stuff I wanted.

We went with the Rum Point Beach Adventure on Grand Cayman.
and I got Palo dinner on that night also.

and I got a Well being massage on Key West morning.

Everyone's all registered too!

Is it time to go yet???? :hyper: :hyper:   :teeth:

First/Donna and Jeff

Great reservations, will add the information to our DIS fact list.

Jeff, I looked at your questions over on the main board, :confused3 I'm sorry I am clueless on all your questions. Glad you have received some answers.

Donna, I can't believe you forgot to book. :rotfl2: Glad you managed to get what you wanted.

Hope John was able to book, we haven't heard from him yet.

Beckie

It is good to see that everyone is getting the excursions they wanted. I am having problems with the rental home we found in MD, the lease keeps changing and not for the better! I am gonna be sooo ready for this cruise!! :yay: -Donna

It's been 24 hours since the last post on our thread! I'm shocked. :Pinkbounc

I think we have decided against the investment for the couples cabana this time but are going to book a couple of spa services separately including a couples massage to give us a couple of days of together time..rather than just one big 3 1/2 hour one-time shot. Going to skip Palo on this trip unless things go well at Flounders and we can sneak in on a brunch or dinner res that someone cancels.

I don't know about any of you, but I'm almost getting tired *gasp* of reading about everyone else's great cruises. I'm ready for mine! Now!!!!!!!!!

Look forward to meeting you nice folks at meet on the ship.

I agree with you, I had to stop reading the trip reports, it makes me feel like Aug. is never gonna get here. My ds keeps a daily countdown which he usually announces each morning. Hopefully time will go by more quickly once school is out and when the documents come! I too look forward to meeting everyone. -Donna

Now that school's almost out and summer swim season has begun, time will fly by for us. Summer swimming is 2 months of a crazy schedule - with practices M-F and meets Saturday. At least I hope the season goes by quickly because I too can't keep reading posts, looking at photos, etc. without wishing I was on the ship. :teeth:

DW and I were talking about maybe trying to do a Marylander's pre-cruise mini-DIS meet. Would people be interested in that? We were thinking something perhaps on a Sunday at a local pool late June or the first weekend in Aug.

The only thing about hurrying the cruise along is....my kids get out of school this Friday.....and they go back to school 4 days after the cruise....

so Im hurrying them through summer vacation then! :teeth:

Im trying to distract myself with summer plans but it's not working for me either...I want it to just get here! :teeth: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

so, it's official.....none of us have any patience! ;) :teeth:

We would love to go to a meet in MD, I'm sure we will be ready for a break from unpacking by then ::yes:: Looks like we will still be moving to Clarksburg but to a different house. I am so glad this will be the last lease we have to deal with!!
Just let us know the details. How far is Boyd's from Clarksburg? -Donna

I'm off home today (back to UK). Ben is really excited. I'm not so much, put it this way, if I could swim across the Atlantic I would. Back soon.

I have never read more about a planned vacation. Summer is my favorite season and we are all just rushing it to get to the cruise. :rolleyes1 I'm all most finished my passporter cover to cover and told DW I guess I need to go buy the Birmbaum Disney Cruise Guide to have something to keep reading. I found lots of sites for trip reports but can't take them to the pool with us :rotfl2: I think maybe we all should remember that the next 2 months is something to savor I love the planning and build-up to the day we leave. :woohoo: :cool1: :woohoo:

Me too....on just about everything you said! :teeth: :thumbsup2 :Pinkbounc

Has anyone used the concierge on the 8th deck. They said we could make reservations thru them when we get on board. Does that mean they can get you into stuff thats full on line and we should wait till then or do they just reserve for you anything thats left over from booking on line? Anybody know because we haven't booked anything yet and getting all 4 to agree is going to take awhile. :confused3 :grouphug:

Thanks if anyone has any info on this :thumbsup2

I'm happy to hear that I'm not the ONLY one who has no patience!!!!! I have the same issue regarding school. School is out in mid June this year but DD7 starts back just a few days after we return from our post-cruise Poly stay. So I don't want to wish the summer away. AND we have another vacation in between now and the cruise as we are heading to the Delaware shore for a week in July. I guess I just need to start focusing on THAT trip! :cool1:

We always love SOOOOOOOOO MUCH to plan and figure out what we are going to enjoy during the upcoming vacation !!!
I'm not sure I wish Summer to go fast !!!

and :bounce: :bounce: IN 8 DAYS :bounce: :bounce: Marco and I will be visiting the FRENCH RIVIERA with my parents !!!!
I'd better start focusing on THIS trip right now !!!
It has been sort of ... last minute decision ...and we have to plan  almost everything !!!
The only reservation we have is a tour by helicopter above Monaco and Nice !!!

HOPE ALL OF YOU WILL HAVE A NICE WEEKEND !!!!
Laura

WHEN is LeiLani due to be back from Scotland ???

Graduation is all done. 393 seniors walked across the stage this morning. We were done in 2 hours. Now I can relax and get prepared for the end of the year.

We would definitely be interested in a Maryland meet. Sunday afternoon is a guitar lesson, but with enough notice we can make arrangements.

It sounds like everyone is anxious and I agree, planning is great and the trip seems to go too quickly. We get back on Saturday and our DD will head back to college on Sunday and I go back to work on Monday. It is later than we usually go, but we really wanted to be on this cruise. So, if it comes too quickly, than it is over too quickly!!

Christina has a "graduation" party from 8th grade on June 10, I turn 50 on June 5 and my husband Chuck will be 47 on June 11. So we have a full week coming up. I decided not to make a big deal about turning 50 since we have this great trip planned.

Hope everyone had a great Memorial Day weekend.
Michelle

Ok, now that we have all tried to make ourselves feel better about how long we have to wait for our cruise......;)....

HURRY UP AND GET HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :teeth:
