It's not a huge deal but my sister in law Adrienne asked me to have the ages of her kiddos updated on the FE list. Adrienne and Jon have three sons (9, 8 & 7) and two daughters (8 & 7). If you could update the list, that would be great!!!

Done :) Sounds like they've had a lot of birthdays in their house recently!

Looking at all the delish food pics that people have posted. I can not wait! I am making a travel journal so I can scrap along the way, and I think I'm going to need a page for each meal to take notes and pictures!

I am okay with adding to the FE list as well, although I may be short on a couple of store bought things. But, most of my gifts are handmade, and I can just make a few more.

I have been working feverishly on my FE gifts...not done yet. I am almost done with my Fish Extender. The kids are really looking forward to delivering the gifts!

I would agree with others that seasickness is not much of a problem. I would recommend that you bring some dramamine if you are prone to seasickness, but you likely won't need it on the Dream. If you are taking any excursions with smaller boats, that is more likely.

Can't wait!

Debbie

We'd like to join the Fish Exchange! We had a 9B GTY, but just got our room assignment - 2502. Yay! I don't know who's organizing this cruise's FE, but please add us to your list: Room 2502 - Heidi (mom), Aaron (dad), & DSon8

Hi Heidi,

I am personalizing FE gifts for the kids, but don't know your son's name. If I don't hear back from you, I will just do something more generic for him instead.

Debbie

I have been working on my FE gifts and have assumed that on our spreadsheet the parents' names are listed first followed by the kids. I hope this is a correct assumption. If it isn't for any of you, can you let me know.

Thanks,
Debbie

That's how I tried to keep it for anyone I added :)

Fixed it! Excited to see more young ones - my two will love all the playmates!

This will be our 5-year-old's 5th cruise. We skip excursions a lot of times. There's stuff to do with young kids, but a lot of times the things we'd really enjoy are more suited to older children. In Nassau we may get off the boat for a little bit and walk around, but our plan is to stay on the ship most of the time. It's WONDERFUL to have the ship quiet and (relatively) empty in port - less crowded pools and slides! Last Disney cruise we didn't go in the pool or on the slide a SINGLE time at sea - only on port days. It's not enjoyable to me to fight for a chair or have to watch my kids every move to make sure they're not in danger when there's a thousand people in the pool.

One of the BEST parts about Castaway Cay is you don't HAVE to book an excursion if nothing excites you. We may or may not - still haven't decided. Last visit to Castaway Cay we didn't book anything and had a WONDERFUL day - definitely the best part of the 7 day cruise! You can have a relaxing and fun day at the beach with all the food & drink you can handle, and not spend a dime.

Thanks for the info. We have decided to stay onboard to explore the ship in Nassau as well. It just didn't seem worth the $ for our age kids & the time we would have for the excursions we wanted to do. This is our first cruise & we decided we would maximize our ship time - it's Disney & The Dream afterall! We'll be sharing the pool with you & hopefully only a few hundred others rather than thousands! Cannot Wait! :yay:

I'm thinking that at least one of the Castaway Cay days I'll be staying on the ship and enjoying the AquaDuck with shorter lines! Can't wait!

In exactly 4 weeks from today, we will be boarding the ship! :cool1: (In in 3 weeks, we are headed to Florida! Time to start packing...and I'm only half joking about that!:rotfl:)

We are exactly the same and I"m starting to stress about everything that has to get done! The girls do a 6 week summer program that ends in 4 shows of a Broadway style production next weekend, so they have rehearsals every day!! And Im training someone at work who was supposed to be ready by the time we left and that is NOT going to happen.....so Im feeling like what is the point? :confused3

Sounds like you need a vacation!!! (oh, wait....;))

ok, so I am excited, but am starting to stress about getting everything done. We are going to summer camp (I work as a camp nurse) so I lose over a week between now and leaving. Besides, honestly, I need to get in my darn 10th post because I keep getting blocked from trying to do things here because I haven't posted yet.

I have seen so many good FE ideas that I wish my cruise was a year away so I could do all of them! Guess I'll just have to book another cruise when I'm onboard, right?

How does Disney decide when you get to board the ship? Other than VIPs, castaway members, etc, is it in order of when you sign up to arrive/check in? or does your check in time have anything to do with your boarding time?

I don't want to check in early if it just means I get to sit in the terminal with 3 bored chldren for an extra 2-3 hours, know what I mean?

Although we have not been on a Disney cruise, when we went on our other cruises we boarded the ship after checking in. I suspect it is the same with a Disney cruise.
