How are the crowds during this time? I already know how hot it's going to be. (Like the sun is sitting on you.) I went last year during the last week of August so I know about the heat - but the crowds weren't bad. I know going sooner will be worse, but I want an idea of how much worse. I can't go any earlier because my kids' school starts the 21st. It also seems from recent posts that attendance is up this year. Anyone else get that impression? :crowded:

Iam definitly getting that impression.... :scratchin

First off ...Spectro is on EVERY night this August...I mean when has that ever happened?? Also the park hours are longer than usual for late August.
Wishes at 10pm EVERY night. :scratchin

And..when i called a few days ago to make my ADRs..for my late august trip...I had to adjust my times by 20 minutes on a couple of restaurants as the time I wanted was taken.....and this is with me calling using the 180 +10 rule!

Mid August the crowds do ease off a lot - you may just catch the heavy crowds on your dates though.

I don't take these as good signs. ;) Which restaurants did you have trouble with? I think many people on here would be shocked by how early you really need to get those ADRs.

We're there August 10th through the 20th. I called at our 180 day mark and didn't have to move a meal more than five minutes from our intended time... That said, I expect it to be rather crowded.

Since we'll be there at the same time, we should come up with a ploy to scare people away...(i.e. starts rumors of a bird flu outbreak??) ;)

The meals I had to change a bit were...CP..by 10 mins...PSB norway ..by 20 mins. Sc-fi  By 10 mins. ...Chef mickey by 20 mins. I think that was it :crazy2:
I was surprised by Sc-fi, I didn't think it was that popular. :scratchin

All in all it wasn't too bad..i still got all the restaurants I wanted..including an 8.10am at CRT on the day i wanted. I got the pirate cruise and princess tea party no problem too! :sunny:

Good for you! I was really shocked that I was able to get CRT breakfast on the day I wanted nearly two weeks into my 180 days. We tweaked our travel dates a bit and I called on a long shot. We were able to get everything we wanted within 10 minutes of the times we wanted. pixiedust:
