Aug. 5th, 2006 - Eastern Magic!!!

Dianna--- I am so happy to hear about Steven! That is news of the most awesome kind! What a miracle!

Well, we are leaving tomorrow morning, we have a cab coming at 6 a.m. so now I am trying to get the WHOLE house cleaned, by myself, the kids have other plans today and DH has to work. Also, I have to double check all the packing to be sure we didn't forget anything. I have to do all that on my own too, because the kids don't know about the cruise so I don't want them pawing through things. I guess I will not sleep much tonight.
See you all in about a week!

:cool1: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:
To all of you starting your travels to Disney early we wish you a safe trip, And to think soon we will all finally meet. Our daughter is getting very excited and cannot wait. Our DD is soon to be 12 and she has the gift of being an outgoing child. She will make friends with everyone, so don't fret about your children having no one to play with. Christina is the life of the party. It must be the only child syndrome. :rotfl2: Any way she is so excited to make new friends. See everyone soon.
Later Sue :dance3: :dance3: :dance3: :hourglass :hourglass

Hey everyone,
Thanks for the prayers for our son, Steven. God has answered our
prayers. When Steven went in yesterday for all those test, the
doctor, nurses, and techs could not find the anureysm. Steven
even outlasted the treadmill program with no problems. The pediatric
cardiologist said that he was in great shape and could not find any
problems. WOW! We were so excited and so was our family and
church family. My husband and I will be the on the cruise. We will be
celebrating our 20th anniversary. We are leaving the children at home
because school will be starting. We took them to disney world this
summer so now we are hopefully going to get some down time. Some
people think we are crazy for taking a Disney Cruise with no children.
I love cruising with disney. We prefer Disney and the Eastern cruise.
I hope to get to meet some of you. I don't know how to post a picture.
I don't even know what I'll be wearing. I'm still so excited about the
outcome on Steven that I don't know what end is up! lol. Maybe
I'll get my act together by the beginning of the week. It still hasn't
sunk in that we are actually getting to go a this cruise. I believe our
room number will be 6587. I'll try to post again soon. I hope everyone
has a safe trip to port canaveral. Hope to see you soon.

God Bless ya,
Dianna

Dianna-
We are going childless to on this cruise. We are celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. All our friends have said the same thing about leaving DS at home. We took him on the DCL cruise this last April so I think he will survive. I am so happy to hear that Steven is doing great!

Great!!! I can't wait for them to meet.

About going on a Disney cruise childless. I definitely know I could have fun childless on Disney. A lot of people don't get it. It's okay, I'm a BIG kid at heart.

Diana AWESOME news!!!!!!!! :cloud9:

wsumom, i hope you will make the meet on the first day that we are having.
The more people the better!! Please come.

We have gone just as a couple many. many times on DCL. We too are kids at heart and always have an incredible time!!! DCL is for everyone, so much to do.

Well today Marie and family will br arriving. It will be so HARD to not say anything about the cruise in front of the grandkids. Thnk goodness I only have to keep my mouth shut for a week. Once you meet me, you'll understnad my mouth is NEVER shut!!!! :rotfl2:

Have a great saturday

Kathy

Help!! We just got our documents a few days ago, but we filled out the forms online the day before. So does anyone know if we still need to fill them out or not?? :confused3

I really think you just need to fill out the bahama form and print out the online contract and everyone sign it. I also printed out the screen that shows everything was complete. I think Mary has already sailed since online registering so maybe she can help more.

One week from today I will be drinking a bon voyage drink!!!!!!!!! :woohoo: I've got almost everything packed and I wonder if I will relax before we leave. haha :rotfl: How's everyone else doing.

Marcie -

I was just thinking the same thing... one week from now I will be on the cruise having a cocktail :cloud9: !!! I'm mostly packed too, just some last minute items that I can't put in until later. I hope I can relax this week but I know it will be hard, I'm just too excited and so are DH, DD and DS. It's like that Disney commercial where the whole family is just too excited to sleep :rotfl: .

I TiVo'd the Disney Cruise Line show they had on the Travel Channel last week and watched it with the children today. There was alot of informational stuff in it that was not very interesting to them but that I really enjoyed. I'll probably watch it again with my DH tonight :happytv: .

Well talk with everyone soon. Have a great week.

Gretchen

Well no packing today, I had to work at the hospital but we didn't have it too rough.

Can you believe that at this time next week we will be sailing and having a great time with our families. It just makes me feel all jittery inside!!

Well, like a big, stalking nerd...I re-read through the posts so I'd know some more about everyone before the meet. Kathy, I took your advice and printed off the pictures. :thumbsup2

I noticed that within the 25 families that we have in this thread...there are 11 kids between 5-7! (5 girls and 6 boys) My Addy is 6 and painfully shy when trying something new, but super outgoing once she gets her feet wet. I hope some of you make the meet so I can introduce her to some of the kids. I think she'd be more comfortable if she saw some familiar faces.

I ordered her a fancy get-up for formal night (I justified it since it will double as her Christmas dress this year). It came in today and I'm so excited about it. She looks so old in it though...it almost made me sad. :sad2:

Spent the day packing and cleaning. We also did a round of family hair-do's this morning. We're ready!

Enjoy your weekend. :wave2:

Leslie

Gee I hope everyone is having a great weekend. It is hot here and we just got back from DS last baseball game. I have started the mad cleaning of the house. I do this before every vacation so when I get back from vacation I don't return to a dirty house. I know its a weird thing to do. :rotfl:

Talk to ya later- :wave2:

Howdy,
well everyone arrived safely last evening although the plane was almost an hour late. :guilty:
We spent the day at MK today and everyone had a great time :goodvibes but I am POOPED!!! Only 3 hours sleep last night with all the excitement.

Well I have an easy way for all of you to recoginse me and my daughter :thumbsup2 on the ship. Because when you see her, we are not far behind. If you see a lady in her 30's with bright purple hair, that's Marie!!

Yes you read it right, bright purple hair.( Don't ask) Ha! Ha! :rotfl: Our group will be easy to spot, so if you see her, please come by and say hello. It doesnt matter if it's in the terminal or on the ship, but espeically if you miss the meet, you can still find us and introduce ourselves during the trip,
we will be easy to spot. Not too many ladies on board with purple hair.

It sounds like everyone is ready to cruise!! I know I am.
Just a few days to go!!

Leslie, I am glad you printed off the pictures too. It really helps and it's much easier to approach someone to say Hi if your looking at heir picture so you know it's really them. I iwll have mine in my carry on bag so I can bring them out in the terminal and look for people. Mary said they will be there about 20 minutes before we should arrive, so hopefully I will spot her from her picture. If not, if she sees Marie's hair maybe she will find me

Looking forward to meeting all of you in 5 1/2 days, :woohoo:

Well, Mary, if you're wierd then I'm there with you. Spent 2 hours scrubbing bathrooms today, tomorrow will dust and mop floors, cleaned the garage yesterday, straightened up my stamping/scrapbooking room, and will vacuum and clean windows and do laundry on Wednesday.

I don't like coming home after a nice vacation to have to clean house right away.

Tiffany

I have a quick question about shore excursions. A couple that we were looking at are booked--no big deal because there are others we can do and I really don't want to stand in line to book excursions once on the ship. I don't have the patience for that kind of thing and am loving being able to book everything online.

But I'm looking at this shore excursion in St. Thomas. According to my travel book we are ashore at St. Thomas at 0800, but this excursion says the start time is 0715...huh?

Can anyone provide me any insight?? I don't want to book something if we aren't going to be there in time. But then again, I'm thinking "why would they offer this if they weren't going to be there earlier than 0800?".

Thanks!

I just looked at a navigator and it looked like shore time on that one was 7:30. 7:15 would be your meeting time, so that sounds about right.

WE leave in 2 days.....can not wait.. which deck is the lounge on?? Will try to make it . Would like my girls to meet other little ones.
One a packing crazz. Trying to not bring to much..

Deck 3, you will pass the lounge after you board when walking to eat lunch, it is the way you are directed before the rooms are ready. You will either be directed to Parrot Cay, deck 3 or Topsiders deck 9. It is on the left right before the elevators/steps its an open area, not really a closed room.

We also leave in 2 days, but I really need to get on the ball here, spent too much time in the pool Saturday and Sunday and then went to our local park, Hershey, last night to see Dion. Packing is not done and we both work half a day Wednesday before our flight.

Another way to spot the lounge is the computer station is at the far end of it. There is a little stage in the center and a small round wooden floor in front of the stage. Lots of tables and chairs and a bar at one end.
It is along the hallway from the atrium to Parrot cay, on your left.
If your not sure, just ask a CM, they are everywhere and very helpful.
see you both really soon!

I am JEALOUS!!! You got to see DION!!!!! He is so awesome!!!! :cloud9:

Kathy

And at 67 can he sing, we stayed for both 1 hour shows. We have season passes and usually go every Sunday for the entertainment. Two weeks ago we saw Air Supply, they still have it also.
