You are right about Kathy, my mom, she obviously cleans way too much, her house is always spotless! Although that may change a little now that they have a doggie, haha. As for me, I'm with you. I can't keep it clean, but I have 2 kids, ages 12 and 15 and of course they have friends, and I also lead a Camp Fire group and those kids are likely to come over too, either to hang with the kids who are already here or to get help with a current Camp Fire project etc. I also have a large, and by large I mean 100 pound, dog and 2 cats so it does not look like Martha Stewart around here even though I generally spend half of my Saturday every weekend cleaning!
Now, I am getting into frantic mode with the packing though since we leave on the 29th. I keep telling myself if I forget something, I can have DH bring it, he isn't coming out until the 4th. Oh well.

My house isn't spotless either. I work 40 hours some months overtime and have a 12 yo DD and 2 cats. I do have to say it's been nice this summer. I've been leaving DD a chore paper everyday to do. But, for every chore done something else needs to be done. It's okay, we are going to try to clean up a good bit this weekend so when we get back from vacation our house will be clean. Maybe. We are leaving the 2 cats home and the in laws are coming feed them. They will probably be mad at us and drag everything around.

You should arrivein time for the meet with no problem.

if you arrive in Orlando at 11:30 the port is only an hour away from the airport. Even with getting luggage and a car or what ever you are doing wont take too long, plus in the afternoon the lines are gone at the terminal so check in is quick and you just walk on the boat.
Marcie,
If your bus leaves at 12:45 from the resorts, you wont have any problems either. Only takes about 1 hour and 15 to 20 minutes to get to the port from WDW. Plus as I told Leslie, the lines are gone in the afternoons at the terminal, you just check in and walk on the ship. Just stop at the promenad elounge first thing if it's close to 3.
As far as wondering if you are meeting the right group goes, just walk up and ask if we are the dis board meet. I have never had another group there besides the dis board before when we have met, so we wont be hard to find.
If you know the color of the shirt you will be wearing, the first day post it for us to know. do far one green shirt is all we have.
I think I will wear a bright pink top,so I will be easier to find. Plus I think I am the oldest one on this board . Any other grandmas here???

You may want to go back and look at the pictures we have posted too.
I usually print off the pictures and write names on the back. Then while I'm waiting to board I look for people in the terminal to see if I spot them before the meet. i usually find someone.
Last trip Marie had bright pink hair so she was easy to find, but she told me she will probalby be a blonde this time. But we will be together I'm sure at the meet. Dont be shy, just walk right up to people and say Howdy, if it's not us you will make a new friend.

Now as far as my cleaning the house goes, i have no little ones accept the doggie to run after, so not much else to do some days. I just have set days to do certain chores so it seems I am always cleaning, but in reality I am only doing one or two things each day. on the weekends I dont do anything unless I absolutely have to. I am basically a lazy person.

Ok, remember post your clothing colors to help us find each other and print off some of the pictures we have posted and that will help too. Especially if your worried about approaching the right people in the lounge.

Gee sorry it is so big. I went into photobucket and resized but it just wouldn't shrink at all. Sometimes it shrinks and sometimes it doesn't. Oh well.

Leslie congratulations on your new kittens. Our DD's kitten is going to the vet when we get home to get fixed.

We will be arriving at the airport at noon and taking the Disney transportation to the boat so we hope to make the meet a 3pm.

hi everyone,

i just found this particular area on the disboards. my husband and i are
scheduled to be on this cruise also. if everything goes okay, we will be
celebrating our 20th anniversary on the cruise. our 11 ds was diagnosed
with a coronary anuryseum last thursday. he is scheduled for more
test this thursday at Lebonheur Children's hospital in memphis, tn.
I pray that they can't find the anuryseum when we go back. for all you
folks that believe in prayer, i would appreciate your prayers on this
thursday. I will check back in a couple of days when i know more.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you and your DS. Please let us know what happens. His health is the most important thing, but we will pray that not only will he be OK but that you will be able to have your cruise too.
I'm sure you will need to destress and relax after all of the trauma you have been through. I know this from personal experience.
