about the only things thye ask you not to wear to dinner is shorts and tank tops. so casual is great accept for formal and semi formal night. Dont forget about pirate night. All of you can dress as pirates, starting with dinner. I love dressing as a pirate at dinner. it just sets the mood for the entire night.

Just a quick reminder to everyone, since we have a couple new people too.

We have a cruise meet at 3 p.m. on the first day in the Promenade lounge. I hope all of you will be able to come. Bring the kids too and they can meet too. Maybe they will make a few friends to look for in the clubs.

I didn't get my documents today. I am a bit worried because last time I found them on the front porch. Well, our next door neighbors German Shepherd had 12 puppies about a month and a half ago. Their fence was blown down in hurricane Rita. So we have all these puppies running all over the place. I've fallen in love with one of the girls, but we have cats so we can't keep any. Anyway, they are getting into everything, I hope they don't get our docs. I am working out of the office most of the day tomorrow and I won't be able to come home for lunch to check. I think I will call soon if they don't show up.

I'm an obsessive-compulsive planner...so the more detail you can post, the better! There is so much to coordinate!

I called today and requested PLAPLAP rotation. That seems to work best with our excursions, etc. We have Palo reservations on Monday. She said they couldn't guarantee it, so we'll see.

One question. We're booked for the Anguilla Dolphin Encounter in St. Maarten on Pirate Night. We won't get back to the ship until after dinner. BUMMER. So what do they do on Pirate Night exactly? Is it a party on deck...or is it just an event at dinner? We'll have to eat at the buffet. I don't want Addy to miss anything.

Tarabra...that was my hubby with the 80's suit. You're right...I should just be glad he still fits in it! Thx for the tip on JC Penney. I'm going to drag him under duress to the mall this weekend.

As for my clothes...I'm dressing up almost every night. Not formal or anything, but nothing too casual. For me, that's the fun part!

Here's the nightly entertainment schedule

Saturday - Welcome Aboard let the magic begin
Sunday - Golden Mickeys
Monday - Twiced Charmed
Tuesday - Movie night and Pirate deck party
Wednesday - Juggler or Magician or Comedian Cabaret type show
Thursday - Disney Dreams
Friday - Remember the Magic

At dinner in your rotation restaurant on Pirate night they have a special menu and you get the bandanas, later on in the evening, aroudn 9:30 is when the pirate deck party is. Definitely go to this. Then on the deck where the pirate party is, is a big buffet, lots of desserts and stuff.

I did the same thing you did the first time I tried to post a picture.
You should of had 3 links under your picture to choose from. I dont remember which is which, but one wont work on the threads, the other will pop up a link we can click on and go right to your picture and the other one will post the actual picture. So click and copy and paste a different link and it should appear ok.

No docs again today, maybe I will call Dana tomorrow and ask if she knows when we can expect them. I know it's not a completely full ship because rooms can still be booked and it is still open for kids. Know any upgrade is truly impossible this year, never had one before either, because we have adjoining cabins booked.

Is that Dana from Cruise Planners? She is my TA. I just called DCL because I don't have my documents still and they looked it up and said they were sent out on July 13th and I need to get in touch with my TA. So, I called and left DAna a message and emailed her. She is not easy to get in touch with.

Well Dana just emailed me and said she called DCL and our documents had been mailed to the wrong address. They are sending out a new set that should be processed tomorrow and sent on Monday directly to us. So, It will be the middle of next week before we get them.

I am so excited about the cruise have been over looking our trip to WDW before we go on the cruise. So much to plan. Need to read up on the other discussion groups on what is the best to do with the time we have & ages traveling with.

We got our docs today!!

This time Mr. UPS brought them to the door. OH well we have them now. The docs are a lot shorter this time around, I guessing since we did online check in. Don't forget your cruise contracts when you get to port!!

I'm refusing to look at any of the schedules! I know...I'm goofy! What I can't wait for is when we come to the room after dinner and the next day's navigator is waiting on our bed. Then I look at it and plan for the day. I'm Ms. spontaneous. Totally opposite from the planners. I think one of the best things that happened to us was our VERY first excursion got cancelled due to weather, and later in the day it cleared up and we had a MUCh better time than if we did the excursion and saved $90. So, the one thing we planned fell through and it turned out better. No problem if you are a planner, I wish I was a little more organized, but I also like to live on the edge.

Yes it's the same Dana. Well my son got his docs yesterday, but we did not. Now that I see the wrong address on another post guess I will call today, was really busy yesterday and did not get a chance.

Tara...I wish I could be more like you! Describing myself as obsessive-compulsive is an understatement!

I've had cruise clothes slewn across my living room for weeks. This weekend begins the "official" packing! I was talking about it at work and a guy at the office says to me, "Already?" He has NO idea.

Do you think I can still get my daughter a bandana on Pirate Night even if we miss dinner?

Two of my best friends BOTH had babies last night. Better them than me!

Pirate night dinner is really a fun night. Why are you going to miss it?
The waiters are really in a good mood, and the kids enjoy the pirate clothes. I have bought all 4 grandkids a Pirates of the Carribbean shirt for the night.
