August 8th:
We woke around 7:15 and showered. We headed to the bus stop with about a 10 mintue wait for the bus. As we headed to MK, I beacame very excited. You see, this is my favorite park. I think that this park represents Disney Magic at it's best. But back to the story....
Once the gates opened, we headed down mainstreet towards Fantasyland. We waited about 20 minutes for the rope drop and headed for Winnie the Pooh. Ron had not done this last year when we went. He protested it was too childish. Yet I think he was forgetting where he was. We managed to ride Peter Pan, Snow White, and Small World within abot 40 minutes. We then headed to Frontierland to ride BTMRR and Splash Mountain again.
We then decided to head to Tommorrowland to ride Alien Encounter, which was another first for Ron. He enjoyed but but couldn't understand why people thought it was scarey. I explained, not just people thought it was scarey, children thought it was scarey. Then he agreed to a small child it could be a traumatic experience.
We decided to head to Adventureland and ride the Jungle Cruise before heading back to the hotel. I enjoy this ride's humor. I think it adds to the nostalgia of it all because this ride is old.
After our midday break, we headed back to MK for our 5:30 PS at Liberty Tree Tavern. I really think that this place was awesome. It was wicked cool. The food was wonderful, the characters payed special attention to everyone, and ther service was great! I will eat there again!
After dinner we headed to Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe. We walked around and admired all the ornaments. I picked up a Beauty and the Beast set for a friend and had it sent back to the hotel. We then headed towards Pirates of the Caribbean. Another of our favorites. I have to say I love that song..."Yo Ho Yo Ho a pirates life for me!"
We decided it was time to do some shopping. We headed towards main street and walked around the shops. We then decided it was time to turn in after an exhausting day!
August 9th:
Well today was another early one. We woke at 6am and then headed to AK. Once all the animals were awakened with "Circle of Life" we headed to the safari. We walked right on and were impressed. We saw many more animals this year than last. We saw a giraffe running across the savannah. I had never seena giraffe run before. So, it was quite a site. We then walked along the trails and admired the lion, gorillas, mear cats, etc.
We rode Kali River rapids and got soaked, which made me happy. After the ride we decided to get a Fastpass and come back later, after It's tough to be a bug. We came back after and the ride had broken down, so we rode Dinosaur.
By this time it was almost 12pm. So, we headed to WL and ate at Whicpsering Canyon. We walked around the lodge and found it to be beautiful. We decided this is where we will stay in 2003.
We headed back to the hotel and relaxed for our final night in WDW.
