Aug 23, 2007 - 3 Night Wonder

Just a heads up for you guys looking for Secret Porthole rooms. I looked online last night and 3 were available, 2 of them connecting. My TA snagged 5020 for us!! So now we are off deck 2 and on deck 5. We are so excited!!!

I can't wait to meet fellow diser's!

How cool!! We're in Cat 11, so no secret portholes for us. But we're also on Deck 5. :)

Me and my Fiance are going for our honeymoon! It will be our first disney cruise ever! We are both very excited and have very little clue what to expect. We have never been on a cruise before. We are doing the land and sea package. We can't wait! :bride:

Congrats! What day are you getting married? My boyfriend and I will be on the cruise as well and we are also first timers. We will also be heading to WDW after the cruise.

Hey, great to see more people on this cruise. The temps here in NJ are above 90 degrees today so its feeling like the tropics.

So of course our heater decides to quit and I'm playing phone tag with the plumber. At least we don't have to worry about being cold in the house.

Laura.....I can't believe the price quotes you got for next summer were virtually identical. I think those Wonder double dip cruises for next year are becoming very popular (maybe more so than the California cruises - I looked at those prices :scared1: ). I also think you and your son will be seated with other families in the dining rooms as there are no two-person tables. But DCL will pair you up with families with children the same age as your DS.

We've been lucky with tablemates - its nice for the kids to have other kids to talk to. On our last cruise we were lucky to have a very nice family at the table next to us and enjoyed their company.

Joisymom.....congrats on getting the SPR.

For the new cruisers......the Passporter Guide to DCL is a great book to get info on the cruise. I bought one last year and still learned some new things. Otherwise, don't be shy about asking any questions.

As Alice Cooper sings, "SCHOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!!!".

Wow - have we been super busy these past two weeks with school/sports/scouts. I am so happy to see blank spots on my calendar from now on.

Just got my latest credit card bill and there's the DCL charge for this cruise so no turning back now.

:cool1: Hello everyone!:cool1:
DD (age 15) and myself will be on the cruise with you. We just booked a land/sea package with 4 nights at CBR first. It will be our first cruise and we cannot wait!:yay:

Welcome......I almost didn't look at the thread you first posted on but glad I did and you made it over here.

DCL will be mailing you a really neat travel guide to the Wonder. This is the best one I've seen them do. Last year on our Magic cruise we didn't receive any kind of ship guide. So I was really surprised to see one for the Wonder.

Just think....8 weeks from today we'll be on the ship.

Hi Sue and welcome. I hope you and your daughter enjoy the cruise :)

Thanks for the welcome.
This will be a very interesting vacation. I broke my foot about 2 months ago and I'm still in a walking cast. The doctor said I will still need to use a rocket sock on the trip and bring the walking cast just in case I get tired.
And my DD dislocated her knee in February and handles it very gingerly.
We hope some r&r will help.

I'll definitely be checking in everyday so any tips you have would be great.

Thanks
Sue

Sue - how awful, twice over. Being on DCL is the right place to recouperate. The CMs would be delighted to help both you and DD. All you have to do is ask.....even for the most trivial thing. So prepared to be pampered!!!! (and some of those CMs are so darn cute :cloud9: )

Be very, very careful about wet decks on 9 & 10. The decks get washed every night and in the morning they are still wet. I almost slipped several times walking to the breakfast buffet wearing flip flops.

Misery loves company.....I fractured a toe on Friday night. Walked into the vacuum cleaner in the dark. A Hoover upright. And I had to take several girls in my Girl Scout troop into New York City yesterday for a trip. Tried to minimize the walking by taking the subway to places.

We had a great time - weather was perfect and not crowded in mid-town. But my foot is really sore today.

And I called today and was able to get our second dinner seating changed to the main dinner seating. :cool1:

Oh, I'm so glad for you.

I was playing around with the DCL reservations and noticed that several of the Wonder 3-night cruises in August are sold out!!!! Ours is the one that is the least (relatively) booked.

That said, looks like the 10-12 age group is sold out for our cruise but I looked at the week before ours for just two adults and there was nothing available.

I guess with our cruise getting closer to when the kids go back to school, it's less booked because of that?

We're lucky here in school doesn't start until after Labor Day so we get in the 3 day and a week at WDW afterwards during the value season (and free dining  ).
