I just got an E-mail back from Capt. Sharon. Her ship the Winifred is available on our St Thomas day. Unfortunitaly for us it will only take 6 passengers and we are a group of 7. But if someone else is interested it I'll post her address. We have taken a charter out before on the island and it is a wonderful way to spend the day.

2. Is anyone else cruising 8/21/04 with young children???
3. Has anyone ever stayed on the ship for the whole week, not embarking at any of the ports?? What is it like to stay on board during port days????

Parden me for stepping in here but you're all leaving the week-before me and I've been lurking every once in awhile to get ideas of what you are all doing and get some ideas. As it gets closer I'll be watching to see when you all start to receive your tickets, as I know mind will be only a few days down the road.

Has anyone ever stayed on the ship for the whole week, not embarking at any of the ports?? What is it like to stay on board during port days????

For what it is worth, my family has no intention of getting off the ship much. We never do on any of the cruises we've been on. (About 8 in all - this is the 2nd time on Disney) We're there to enjoy the cruise and the ship not run around on shore. Nothing wrong with that but just not our cup of tea.

We love port days when everyone gets OFF the boat. The pools are empty, we can lounge around on deck, enjoy the peace and quite and watch you all come back hot, hungry and tired from your shore excersions :lol while we're sitting there with a cold drink relaxing.

The sea days are really busy days on board ship; there is a lot going on and a lot of people doing it. Shore days, are a real vacation!

FYI: Southwest is having their system-wide sale right now. Fares to Orlando are CHEAP! For example, RT from Philadelphia is $49 each way and RT from CA is $99 each way.

1- This is the 12 step program!

2- How young is young? My son will be just turned 7 when we cruise. How young are yours? (I'm assuming you have some)

3-When we went last year, we excursioned at every port, except CC since we had the wedding, but this year we are really looking forward to staying on the ship. Except for maybe a brief shopping trip.

I meant young, as in my baby will be 6 months in August!!! I will also have my 13 yo daughter and my 12 yo neice with me. Maybe I'll have the only BABY onboard and will be able to book Flounders whenever I want......as in, run into San Juan to shop for a few hours. That would be very cool!!! (I really don't want to take the baby off the boat much, if at all, so it will be my first time not going on excursions.......)

Good morning, all! Scratch off another week, 6 more to go!!
What does everyone have planned for the weekend? We are having an early birthday party for our DD Kristin at the pool tomorrow. Kristin turns 10 during our cruise. Sunday is a golf tournament followed by some family time.

As I was arriving home yesterday afternoon, I saw our mailman placing a rather large box near our front door. I know that DW or I had not ordered anything lately that would require such a large box, so I was very courious to see such a box. As I was picking the box up, I noticed a DisneyStore.com address label. I got in the house and opened the box, and to my amazement I found a Mickey 21" carry-on piece of luggage. Upon looking at the packing slip, I found the name of my benefactor, who just happens to be cruising with us on the 8-21-04 and 8-20-05 cruises. To say I was touched is an understatment, THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! I have attached a photo below of my very "SPECIAL" gift.

The weekend here is busy....my inlaws are coming in from out of town tomorrow and on Sunday we have my Dad's side family reunion.....Should be a good weekend!
