Awww... Thanks Nini!!!
No I don't!!! It was YOUR IDEA ALL THE WAY!!
I just helped with a few changes!!!
I have to say i was really excited to be able to help... This was/is an AWESOME bag!!!
Yah - well - you made it better!
I love Connie's bag! Such a great idea to incorporate her whole family in the design. And since I saw all of the answers as to what each tower represents on her PTR, I won't spoil it here for everyone else!
Yah - I loved making that bag for her - it was so much fun!
Good luck shopping today. OMG on the 12 hours of stitching. Plus the cutting time. I am dizzy just thinking about it.
Tell me about it - I sill have 2 more appliques to draw and cut out + stitch... There will be 3 full days of applique work in this bag by the time I am done... But it will be magnificant - that I promise. I was hoping I would have it finished before the week of the 4th - but it isn't looking promising.

So, sad about that.
I am not happy this morning because my spotty internet connection is only showing one of the pictures you posted and it is the back of he bag. What a tease. So no picture of the girls and no bag pictures. This bag sounds EPIC so I must get on my laptop to check it out.
I know you will have fun at the lake so you will not miss your machine. Plus it will give you time to "dream" up some new bags. Just leave a notebook by the bed so you can record your inspiration.
Bummer about the internet connection - hopefully you will get back to see the bag soon. LOL about my inspiration...
Once again, I am speechless!
Tonight is the night I have to start tackling the "old lady" dresses. I think I'm going to have to undo both side seams and put in a gusset so they are wider at the bottom. The ladies (and men!) wearing them need to do a dance routine and it just won't work with the dresses the way they are. Then I need to add lace to the bottoms and make belts. Also 13 pairs of bloomers! Anyone want to come help????
Thanks! That sounds like it will be so much fun! I hope you are going to go see the play after putting so much work into the dresses. And I hope you'll share pictures with us.
Question - does the powdered gatorade = that comes in the large cans - have sugar or aspartame? If it contains sugar, you might be able to use that - scoop out enough for one drink and put it in a snack size ziplock baggie. Then you can add it to your drink rather than going with the soda.
It has sucose - which I do not think is the same as sucrolose... I have not done any research on it yet, but that is a great idea... I will investigate.
I truly my bag! I waited a long time to be able to order one, then I waited a long time on the wait list to get it....it was worth every bit of wait time!

It is prominently displayed in my dining room right now so that I can admire it each time I walk through the house.
Can't wait to use it!!!!
Glad you love it... Thanks for waiting so long... I always feel so bad that my waiting list is so long, because I hate making people wait. But... I can only work so fast... LOL
well I did a little research for you and looked up the ingredients for the orange powder gaterade and it doesn't look promising.:
Sucrose, Dextrose, Citric Acid, Salt, Sodium Citrate, Natural Orange Flavor With Other Natural Flavors, Monopotassium Phosphate, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and Cottonseed Oils, Yellow 6.
I also looked up the ingredients in the premade liquid : Water, Sucrose Syrup, High Fructose Corn Syrup (Glucose-Fructose Syrup), Citric Acid, Natural Flavors, Salt, Sodium Citrate, Monopotassium Phosphate, Glycerol Ester Of Wood Rosin, Blue 1
I guess really if you wanted to stay away from artifical then it would be strictly water (with lemons and sugar to create your own lemonade).
and just make sure everytime you say get on a ride or get off a ride or just every hour make sure she is drinking something which might mean more water bottle pics LOL (I love those!) best of luck..
Hahaha... Thanks for doing the research. I did look while I was grocery shopping yesterday, and I discovered the same thing.
However - I did buy 2 bottles of coconut water for the girls and I to try... I did take a sip last night - and WOWZA - super sweet! For someone who only ever drinks water/lemon or sparkling water... Gonna have to dilute that stuff. LOL But it is good and it may be an option for us?
Don't be nervous....as you can see, lots of people like them. Maybe try them this summer when you go to ValleyFair or something. Or at the lake?? Then you will know before you go. I bought one of the "cool dana's" from
Walmart for Bradey to wear. I am not worried about me at all...I know how to listen to my body, but he doesn't. So I am going to be watching him like a hawk!
Exactly!
It is easy to find that stuff in a big bottle....less easy to find it in the convenient travel size. The big bottle is a PIA to carry around! I bought out my RiteAid as well as two other RiteAids in surrounding towns once I found the small size. I can get them on
Amazon too....but I think 27 bottles is enough
Haha... I did find the big bottle yesterday while I was shopping. It wasn't on my grocery list this time, however - it did have coupons hanging from it, so I grabbed two of them so I could buy it on my next trip.
I wanna see a picture! Mo and I showed you our salon pics....
Ha! I showed you my salon pics from the last time - so we are even. This gal will not be in pictures anytime soon.
D~ this article made me think of you and your "vintage" Disney photos lately...
http://www.*********.com/fanny-packs-63646/
OMGoodness!! Apparently, the DIS has something against a certain Disney blogger....it is treating the web site address like a swear word! Try adding this in place of the astericks above...chip and co...only no spaces, cause when I put it in minus the spaces it bleeps it out too...silly disboards.
Hahaha.... Nice article!
Just an FYI....I read over on the Poly board that they are no longer taking your picture outside of O'Hana with the leis. They are now having Stitch go around inside table to table like a character meal. You get your picture with him and that is your souvenier pic. Lot's of people are complaining about it over on the Poly thread. They say it takes him FOREVER to make it around to everyone and you are almost always done eating and have to wait for him. It would be better if they had him outside at the entrance like Donald at Tusker.
Anyhoo...thought you might want to know that.
Oooh - I agree - I wish they would bring that option back. What a bummer! Although, last time, we had to wait for Stitch forever - and that was before he did pictures...
That sounds like fun! - I started sewing for the Theater Too. I tend to think of hemming as something done with tape the night of the dress rehearsal.
Aww - Love you too D~. You're welcome about the coconut water. Just make sure that nobody is allergic. No itchy twitchy line waits.
Sucrose is technically just sugar: It's been refined, but it's from a natural source. Like Fructose, just not from fruit. -Science center, remember
I love the science girl in you! That is awesome! I wish I was "science-y". I did buy some coconut water yesterday for the girls and I to try. I did try a sip last night - and ufda - it's really sweet! May have to dilute it... I am sure the girls will like it, because it's really sweet. LOL
I don't post very often but I do follow along when I can. I wanted to chime in about the drink mixes. I have a hard time drinking plain water so I usually use the drink mixes, I hate the artificial sweeteners too but I'd rather have that over plain water. I have found a few 100% natural mixes but they only have a few flavors. One is True Lime black cherry limeade. The other is True Lemon in regular lemonade and raspberry lemonade. They are pretty good, I just wish they had more flavors, I get bored easy of the same flavors.
Oh and I love the fireworks bag and how personal it is!
Oooh... OK - this is an option... I will go google and see where I can get my grubby paws on this stuff! Thanks!
Haven't caught up but want to say thank you. I got my D~ specialtys and love them. Dd came out of school today bawling her eyes out. Last day of elementary school. Perfect timing on the lanyard! I was going to save it for the trip, but thought it might brighten her day. Tell your dd she is an angel. Dd smiled so wide I almost cried.
I love the camera strap too! Thank you!
Awww... So glad you got your items and you like them.
Have to post, my package has arrived. Boo is even better in REAL life and so is the Minnie GAC/wallet. OK so feeling pretty silly but what is GAC?
Hope you scored shopping tonight.
Awww... Thank you! So glad you got it - I hope you get lots of use (and lots of compliments) on it.

The GAC stands for Guest Assistance Card - this wallet was made specifically so that the guests who need those cards can display them and show them to cast members with out constantly having to dig them out of their bags. The cards are given to guests with disabilities.
Hope you had a successful shopping trip.
Another amazing bag!
Thanks Sandra!!!

Phew... Yesterday was insane (I feel like I have been saying that a lot lately...)
It started with me dropping the girls off at Show Choir camp... Then I was off and running.
BFF drove over to my store, so I could buy my GCs there (and drive sales)... I purchased enough to pay off my current trip, and then enough to almost pay off our tickets. WHOOT!!!!
Then I worked...
After work, I took the girls home... Changed clothes... Put on my trusty flip-flops... And I was off again.
BFF and I started at Target (not the one with the mean cashier)... I spent more here than I had wanted to - but I purchased a few more things than what was on my list. Bad me. My grocery total was something like $47? I think? I was only keeping track of what my final payment was, so I could stay with in my grocery budget.
Then, I took BFF out for dinner at Jimmy Johns (where she grabbed me my napkins like she always does...) for driving all the way out to my work to buy GCs yesterday morning.
Then it was off to the grocery store... Where I purchased a TON of produce... My total here was $42
Then to Aldi to buy oranges... $6
Then to Kwik-Trip (gas station) to buy bananas... I know, it's weird - but they always have them for 38¢ - so it's worth it to stop. And they are good. $5
Then it was back to BFF's house to unload her car and pack up my edge.
Then I drove home and the family helped me unload everything and put it away... Which means... The cooler was brought down to the basement to be put in that fridge (it's times like this, I am so thankful to have 2 fridges) and all the groceries are in their bags on my kitchen floor... No need to unpack them just to pack them again tomorrow - right?
So, I was a hair over budget... especially if you include our dinner at Jimmy Johns into it... But I am OK with it - I have more than enough for the lake. I hope...
I plan to make a few salads - not sure if I am making them here, or if I will make them there?
*Frog Eye salad...
Recipe
*Italian Pepperoni salad...
Recipe
*Curry Chicken Salad...
Recipe
*Fruit Salad... No recipe... Just cut up a bunch of fruit and berries and mix in a bowl - no dressings. Num!
I think that's it??? I hope so anyways...
I am headed upstairs shortly to begin drawing out Alli's next appliques, I hope to get them both drawn out this morning, pieced together and start stitching them this afternoon... I am still praying that I finish her bag before the end of the week - but with all the salads I need to make yet, it's not looking very promising.
I will leave you all with another "vintage" photo... LOL Josh made me remove the fanny pack to get the water bottle out of the photo...
Have a spectacular day everyone! Sending prayers out to all in need.
D~
