"She put out an SOS to her cousin who lives near Ruthie... They contacted their vet, who is willing to go out to Ruthie's house to ***** the situation... "
Love how the Dis decided that assess looked like a swear word or something!

So glad to hear that help is on the way for RuthIE! And what a great opportunity for the students that get to help!
V is going to have a GREAT DAY TODAY! Be sure to post pictures of her beautiful smile!
Now that I understand the Sorcereres logo...love that pouch! I adore the deep rich blue fabric with the pop of the red! You are simply genius!
Hi Oopsi!!! Yah - I think I spelled assess wrong though... LOL I think I left an "s" off at the end, and I was too lazy to go back and change it.
I did not get any pictures of her beautiful smile yesterday, except the ones of her at the Orthodontist office, and she won't let me post those.
I am happy to hear you were able to make an appointment and even better they were able to get you in today. I hope they can get some answers for you and some relief for the pain. I will be thinking of you and looking for an update later on.
Thank you - it was a relief to hear that it most likely isn't something worse. Thanks for the good thoughts yesterday.
Praying for you! So glad they could see you today...no time to back out.
Thank you - exactly... It's a relief to finally have it gone, and know that I might not have to deal with this pain again.
Glad you are going to the doctor today. I hope they have an easy fix for your issues.
Thanks Liz.
Glad that there is a resource for Ruthie, hope it works out.
Sorry to hear about your pain, good luck with the appt. My mom has been having rib pain lately as well. No stomach issues that I know of. She did get her gall bladder removed, but still has this pain that no one has figured out yet. Hope they can figure it out for you and you can make a quick recovery.
And I checked on your auction and did see a few bids, good thing you reposted it, because otherwise it might have gotten lost. Things over there are a mess. I avoid it lately. They are always changing privacy stuff and its starting to drive me crazy because I never understand the changes and I'm never sure what I should do. Anyway, hope the auctions go well. They are both awesome so they should do well once people see them!
Good luck and pixie dust all around for you today!!!!
Me too - I hope it works out for RuthIE.
I have heard of the pain your mom is having - if it's what I am thinking. I read about it when I first started researching about this pain... Lots of gall bladder misdiagnosis, where people have it removed, but the pain comes back. I sure hope they are able to figure out what your mom has - because if the pain is anything like mine, it's horrible.
I agree - I don't love FB, but FB is the easiest venue for me, so I just kind of go with the flow.
Thanks for the pixie dust yesterday.
I'm so glad to hear that Ruthie is hopefully getting some help now. Hopes she gets better soon.
Good luck at the doctor today D~ I will have you in my thoughts.
Thank you Lillian.
My son got his coat stolen from school 2 years ago. Now, this school is for kids that have an Autism Spectrum Disorder. So, there is about 10-15 students. This coat wasn't an ordinary coat. It was his grandmother's army jacket from the Vietnam era. It had his last name on it. It also had his brand new Nintendo DSi in the pocket, that he had paid for himself. The school did nothing. Never saw it or his things again. It had his wallet it in too. He was most upset that the coat was gone. He asked that whoever took it just return the jacket. We didn't know why someone would want to keep such a personal item. The school didn't want to call in the police because they said it violated the rights of the students because the kids that attend there are there for "medical" reasons. I understand your frustration.
That is just awful! And I am outraged that the school didn't do anything about it - especially with a very small student population.
Glad you made the Dr. Appointment. I am the same way. I get chest pains occassionally that scare me, but they go away. I know it is silly, but I don't want to be told there is a problem. Plus, the doctor I have would just say she didn't know what it is wrong.
Thank you... I hope you are able to get the courage to go in and get it taken care of... I can honestly say that I feel more relieved that I may finally have some answers, and I can stop worrying about what is "could be". It's just not an easy thing for some people to do, and many don't understand it.
Good to hear that you survived the doctor appointment
Thanks Lillian, I figured that most people here would be pleased.
Hi D,
I am a long time reader of your trip reports. I had the exact same symptoms that you had and it ended up to be gall stones. I had the surgery and have not had any problem since. The " gall bladder attacks" were excruciating!! If it ends up that you do need surgery, it's an easy one. I believe that they do it on an out patient basis now. It took me a long time to get to the doctor because, like you, I don't like doctors. It was totally worth it in the end.
By the way...your bags and baby clothes are amazing!!! I hope that your daughter's jacket gets returned very soon.
Hi and welcome! Thank you for stopping by to tell me your story. It's really given me a lot of hope that once everything is figured out, I will be pain free. I am also glad to hear that it's an easy surgery... Unfortunately - I am one of "those" people who needs to be put out in order to be put out... I hate anestesia more than anything in the world - I think. I would much rather have a local anesthetic any day.
Anyways - thank you so much for speaking up and helping me feel more at ease with this.
Glad to hear you finally made the appointment D~. Its always better to find out answers than to suffer needlessly. Although I have to say that I don't like going to the drs either. I've been to more doctors in the last 2 months than I've been in the last 2 years. Finally found out that I've got a deep-seated sinus infection. You'd think the first dr I went to would have suspected something when I still had the runny nose, post nasal drip, cough after a month. Colds never last that long. We are doing a course of antibiotics and steroids to see if it clears up any. Don't want to think what the next step would be....
Glad to hear V got her braces off. Can't wait to see the pictures. Also glad to hear RuthIE is getting some help.
T
Thanks Terry... I've been in your shoes - I hate to say it... Right after I had Victoria - I was having these massive headaches that would wake me up during the night... I had an eeg and several other tests... It wasn't until the MRI (which is how I learned I was claustrophobic...) - so I had to be rescheduled for an open MRI... Anyways they finally discovered that it was a sinus infection - cured with a simple round of strong antibiotics.
I sure hope they are able to get you feeling better soon and there is no need for anything else to be done.
What great news about Ruthie! She'll be so much less stressed with help for her animals.
I know - I hope they are all able to get in contact soon.
When you go the MK you should get the Sorcerer cards even if you don't have time to play the game. The cards are really beautiful. You can each get a new packet every day.
I will try to remember. Thanks for the tip.
Thanks for the details on the quilt. I really don't think I'll ever attempt one but if I do I might have to do a few sample squares to see how the chenille will look. I've looked at tons of photos online and the end results aren't always what I would have expected. I like your idea about keeping one of the layers uncut.
No problem - I hope you are willing to give it a try... It really wasn't that much work for as nice as it came out. The hardest part for me was wrestling with the bigness of the quilt and the actual cutting... I do recommend the chenille cutter by Olfa... I would have gotten it myself (for sure for next time) if I wouldn't have been so excited to dig into that project.
Good for your for going to the dr! I've been having an issue for um....a few (many) months. I had one weekend with excutiating pain and then several weeks of discomfort. I was afraid of what might happen on my trip in November because I was still uncomfortable and wonder what Disney dining and drinking (I don't drink at home) would do to me. Turns out I felt great at Disney. Probably a mix of less stress and walking 16 miles a day (one day I did that while playing the sorcerer game

) was all I really needed. I self diagnosed myself with diverticulitis. My sister has issues with it and she said my symptoms were the same. But then I saw her and she said my pain was too high so now I've self diagnosed myself with IBS. I should go see someone but I'm not good about doing that. What side is your pain on? Mine is left and I thought gall bladder was right.
I hope, if you pain comes back - that you'll take yourself into the Dr. But I am so glad you are feeling better.
My pain is quite odd... For the most part, it is directly under the bottom part of my rib cage, it gravitates more to my right side than my left, but it has been known to wrap around to my back a lot. It's not a stabbing pain - it's just a constant radiating pain. When I feel it coming on, I have to immediately take something (ibuprofen/aleve) - the sooner I take it, the less amount of time I am in pain. The pain is so intense that I've been known to break out in sweat and cry... Most of the time, I am so exhaused afterwards that I fall asleep. It is sometimes very scary when this happens... I remember it happening once when MM was a puppy and he was locked downstairs - he could hear me crying and was trying to get to me. Yes - I will be very glad to have it over.
V must be so happy!!!
Sorry for the continued jacket saga.
V is very happy - and she has a gorgeous smile!
Glad you were able to get into the Dr today. Hope that your able to get some answers next week when you go back.
YEAH for V getting her braces off!!! I remember the day mine came off! It was a very joyful day!! Can't wait to see her beautiful smile!
Sorry the coat drama is still continuing.
Thank you Sandra! I am hoping for answers too.
V is super excited about her braces being off - but she says it feels so weird.
Glad V got the braces off!
If it is gall bladder, it can be a pretty simple surgery if it is stones...I had mine out on a Wednesday before Thanksgiving and was out shopping with all the other crazy people on Black Friday.
Good luck!
I sure hope so Lynn... I am not a very good anesthesia person - I so badly HATE it.

I don't have any RutIE updates for you... I've passed along all the necessary information, and I am praying they contact her soon.
**********************************************************
I don't have any jacket updates either.

Due to all the appointments yesterday, I did not get a chance to call the officer back. I hope to do that this morning - otherwise tomorrow for sure.
**********************************************************
I am feeling lots of relief after seeing the Dr. yesterday. I really liked him a lot and wish I could keep him as my regular Dr. - but unfortunately, he is in the later stages of his career and only in the office one day a week - so he doesn't see any regular patients. Oh well, he gave me a few good names, so I have a follow up appt. with someone next week - after my ultra sound, so hopefully I can get the results at the same time.

Despite all of my appointments yesterday, I was able to get into my sewing room for long enough to finish my applique. I plan to start assembly tomorrow.
I apologize that I don't have any pictures of V with out her braces... I took some at the orthodontist office yesterday, but she won't let me post those.

Alli is planning to take her out on a photo shoot this weekend - so I hope to have some pictures for you all then.
I hope you all have a magnificant day today! And thanks so much to all of you for the good thoughts yesterday - I really appreciate it.
D~
