~ Aug 2013~ Sew what... We've gotta find a way back! Part I!!

I keep meaning to ask, but I keep forgetting...

When the girls and I were in WDW, we purchased an Eeyore for MM... This is his "baby"... He carries Eeyore with him everywhere, and Eeyore is the only toy that he's never destroyed... Until the other day... Poor Eeyore had a small hole next to his ear - I was going to sew it up, but during the night MM ripped it off... We have yet to find the ear. :rolleyes1 And we've looked everywhere. I had to sew Eeyore back together with out an ear. :faint:

We looked everywhere on WDW property, but the only place we found this particular Eeyore was in the Poly gift shop (the one on the 2nd floor)... This Eeyore is special, because he is incredibly FLOPPY, and that's what MM loves about him, Eeyore must be the laying down type and extra floppy. ::yes::
D~

Hi D - This looks a lot liek our Eeyore. Ours is super soft and the tail can come off (well not really, it has a string). We got ours at the MOA Disney store about a year ago. They may still have some.

The Minnie bag gives the Dumbo bag some stiff competition! Love the eyelet on it. Gives it such a dainty touch.

FYI... I had to go through and remove half my smilies. Sigh.

I am going at Christmas, unless you need him before.

I think I want to decorate for Christmas in the next few weeks. I want to put our small tree and Cs tree up this year and couple of my smaller village things out. I haven't wanted to decorate in a few years but I want to this year which is strange.

Thanks D I am so happy to have my power back. Today I am playing catch up but need to find who has groceries since we lost all of our food.

Thanks Chiara! I did contact someone already about grabbing an Eeyore.

We were sitting in the livingroom last night, and MM was playing - as I am wondering, how in the world is my village going to survive the holidays with MM? I might not be able to put it up this year. :( Unless I baby gate the entire livingroom for the entire season. :scratchin I don't really want to do that though - he doesn't like it as it is, when we close the gate.

So glad you got your power back. But I am so sorry you lost all of your food. Do the stores have much of anything for you to stock up on?

I will be at WDW the week of Thanksgiving and will be doing the luau at the Poly so I could pick it up for you.

Thanks for the offer!!

Where is Marianne idea? Sorry this is just too exciting!
I don't know if this would help, this is what i carry with me on DSLR days. that camera get HEAVY after a while: point and shoot, the DSLR, 2 lens, extra SD cards, hood for lens, batteries, lens covers, tri pod, Cleaner for lens, and soft cloth, of course the shoulder straps (2) just like need two pairs of gym shoes? Same concept! Tripod goes into a locker until fireworks time!

Marianne and I talked about this privately. And thanks for all the info - I sent you a PM.

If any of the others going before me have no luck finding Eeyore, I will be happy to look when we go in early December....just let me know.

I think the Minnie is now my favorite....love it.

Thanks Kathy! I did send someone a message - it looks like I have lots of back ups though.

Minnie is so cute too! I love the little lacy part (can you tell I don't sew, I have no idea what to actually call that material :lmao. I can't wait to see the Pluto one.

I can definitely look for Eeyore when I go in a few weeks. Mom and I are huge shoppers, never saw a gift shop we didn't like, so we will be in every shop in Disney. Just let me know if you get one before we go.

Thanks! That would be eyelet trim. :) I appreciate the offer - but I have contacted someone about Eeyore already... However, I know MM would be in his glory if he had one for every day of the week.

Okay, this Minnie is my favorite. For sure! Love that little bit of eyelet trim.

I've been sewing skirts for my DGDs and playing Christmas music all the while. I know it's early, but I started watching Christmas movies while I was sick, and it really put me in the mood. I'm one of those weird ones who loves Christmas music/movies and it doesn't really matter where we are on the calendar!

Sounds like you'll be getting your Eeyore, but if something falls through, we're going on 11/28 and would be happy to pick one up for you.

Thanks Lois! I am the same way - the girls and I usually watch Home Alone in July sometime - we didin't do it this year though. I love Christmas movies and everything about the season... I really got in the mood bad a few weeks ago when I was making my Holiday Cookies bag... I made the mistake of turning on the Christmas music channel on Pandora. It was all over after that. :thumbsup2

I would offer...but it looks like you have lots of volunteers already...if they can't find it, let me know and we will check when we go right after Thanksgiving!

Nini

Thanks Nini!! I did get someone to get one for me... I will let you know though. :thumbsup2

Looks like I am going before everyone else? Leaving 11/11, I would love to pick it up as we will be going to 'Ohana's one night! You won't even have to pay me as you can just take it off the amount I will owe you for the bag I am going to purchase next week

Monica

Thanks for the offer Monica... But I already asked someone else. I really appreciate it though.

I don't know which of your bags is my favorite!! Minnie is beautiful!
I was in the hospital for several days with severe vertigo and nausea. I came home late yesterday afternoon so that was the best gift of all.
I hope things are calming down in your neighborhood, you've had a long few weeks.

Thanks Ruth. I am so sorry you were in the hospital again - I didn't know. I am glad you went though, because you just never know. I hope you had a good birthday anyways. princess:

Chiara - glad you have your power back and I hope you can get everything back to "normal" soon. How is J doing with the aftermath of Sandy?

Decorating for Christmas early sounds good - you might as well enjoy it for as long as you can

That's why I always put my village up the weekend before Thanksgiving, and keep it up until the end of January... Those darned buildings and accessories are so expensive - I like to feel like I am getting my $$ worth out of them. LOL :crazy2:

D~ seeing how MM deals with Christmas (and a tree) will be interesting.

Tell me about it... :scared:

Sign up for Southwest's e-mail notifications and they will let you know when they open up bookings for your time frame. Sometimes they run great sales so it is good to be on their list.

I know I am signed up for them, but I didn't know I could put in my dates and have them more specific. That would be awesome!

Minnie looks great, I love the lace trim!!!! The lining fabric and contrasting bias look perfect. Her expression is so life like, her eyes are so expressive.

Thanks!

I usually bring my DSLR to the parks and on our last trip I made a bag just for this purpose - it was similar to the bag that I had in Charlotte but "shorter". I put lots of slip pockets in it. I mostly carried my cell phone, a small bag that served as my wallet for my CC, money, room key, extra memory card, maybe a battery. I also carry my fairly small video camera to catch those fabulous Disney moments on "film". My video camera is about the size of a small telephoto lens. I also carry a few ponchos (for rain or Splash Mountain) and maps. I am not a great photographer so by the end of the week I usually ditch the DSLR :rotfl: and I'm down to a small bag with my cell phone and room key. I am totally looking forward to using my original Disboutique lanyard / wallet on the trip with my brother. I figure his wife can be in charge of lugging around her DSLR and I can be in charge of getting fast passes!!!

This is good to know - thanks for taking the time to give me all that info. I think the bag I have planned may be perfect for those who tour like you do. :thumbsup2

LOL I am glad to hear you are using your wallet/lanyard. That makes me super happy!! I am glad you get to take a trip with your family - what wonderful memories you all are going to have!

Hope Alli's school community can continue to heal after all of their losses.

Thank you. It seems to be going OK, there was a town meeting the other night, so the parents could address their concerns. I was not able to go, but the local paper did record the entire thing and put it on their website - I am going to try to watch it today.

Alli will be going back to school on Monday - I pray that things are a little more normal around there, and pray that nothing happens between now and then. She has done an amazing job with her homework - I am so impressed. She is all caught up on everything, except her Spanish work - her teacher never got it to the office for me to pick up. :confused3 Which is too bad, because that is Alli's favorite class.

Minnie is awesome! I can't wait to see the rest!
Chiara I am so glad you guys have power again. I really don't know what is going on out there other than with my friends which is just sad. I despise TV though.
I am sure you will find it before but we will be there in Feb and I can look for Eeyore. MM is so sweet <3

Thanks Callie... We may need a 3rd Eeyore by then. :rotfl2: I will let you know. LOL

happy to hear Alli is feeling better....hope the school and community can continue healing!

the new Mickey & Minnie bags are very cute!

Chiara, happy you got your power back...my friends in NJ and LI are still powerless but okay, of which I'm very grateful!!

Thank you Lisa. :grouphug:

I just love the lace detail on the front pocket!
I was just looking on Amazon yesterday for a little Eeyore stuffy to send to a friend that was a little down. They have a bunch of them, but I only saw one "laying down" one. It was a 20" long pile one. Not sure what the "long pile" means, but it looks similar to the one in the pics. I think it was about $30??

Thanks Suzi - I might go look on Amazon - that is a great idea! :thumbsup2

That's so funny. My dog has had a duck (beanie buddy) since we got her and I've sewn it up so many times Lost one of the wings a long time ago. It's gotten so yucky that I don't even want to put it in the washing machine anymore, so I bought a brand new one at a flea market (they don't make it anymore) and she won't have a thing to do with it! She still drags out that nasty one. She goes to get it every time she's ready to go to sleep. It's got a hole in it's cheek now and I haven't even tried to fix it.
I'm going to WDW in early Dec. and will be glad to look for Eeyore if you haven't gotten one by then!

I loved your story Stephanie - that's probably what will happen here. The girls have this Pug stuffed animal, with just a few beans in it - but it's little... MM has started carrying that one around too - with those buggy Pug eyes, just makes me ROFL.

I've washed his Eeyore so many times, he is just crusty and gross. LOL The other day, after he had ripped out Eeyore's ear, I had put Eeyore on my counter top in my sewing room, so I could stitch his face back shut, and MM just sat there staring at it and whining... I had no choice but to fix Eeyore right that minute - at least he was dry. LOL

Thanks for the offer to look - I have someone lined up already. :thumbsup2

Love the mickey and minni set. I think they are going to help boost your trip fund

I love the idea of a SLR bag!!!!!! I didn't cary my SLR in the parks because I didn't want the bother. I am now totaly regreting that, as my photos with my pointand shoot / ipod totaly suck!
I found I didn't carry much in the park - there was tons of room in my bag. I carried my wallet, cell, point and shoot (but won't need if have SLR), ipod, maps, and little waterbottle. A water bottle could be cliped on the outside so just a few pockets would be great. A place for memory cards and an extra lense would be nice too. I'm sure you will come up with something great!!

Hope you have a great weekend.

Thanks Tracey! And thanks for all the info - I think the bag I have sketched out will be a great park bag... The only part I am worried about is for those people who want to carry a tripod - there won't be room in the bag for that. I hope you have a great weekend too!

LOVE the Donald bag!

Thanks!

Loving all the new bags! I may just have to start collecting them too along with my Pluto stuff.

I'm one of the ones that rarely makes it on the DIS on the weekends. Just too much else to do. And the DIS is such a good distraction at work. (Didn't there used to be a "guilty" smiley? Oh well, this one will have to do).

Thanks! LOL So, that's it - you all peruse my PTR while you are at work. :confused3

I love them all, can't wait to see the next two since they are your favorites! I will be away from home tomorrow on a day trip, so I will just have to take my iPad because I have no patience and can't wait till I get home
Have you seen the little gates to put around Christmas trees to keep toddlers out? You may have to invest in one of those
Monica

Thanks Monica - I am getting ready to post pictures shortly.

love love the minnie bag and the donald bag. Can't wait to see what else you have planned.

LOL Thanks Chiara!

Donald is awesome. I will have to try and get on the boards tomorrow to check out your top two favorites.

I guess I am one that doesn't make it onto the boards on the weekends. I don't seem to make it on the computer very often on the weekends but it is not like I'm doing anything exciting.

Thanks Liz.

LOVE the new bags!

Thanks Erin!

Love the Donald and Minnie bags! Also not sure if you saw my other response but I will be at WDW in 2 weeks and going to the Poly for the Luau one night if you still need someone to pick up a new Eeyore.

Thanks Holly! :cheer2:

Holy sewing machine Batman!!! It took me a while, but I am finally caught up on your PTR!!!!! I might have missed something along the way, but we'll probably never know.

LOL Welcome!!!

First I want to say that I was deeply saddened by everything that is going on in your community. Here's to hoping that things are improving and that your community can begin to heal. I think you are a wonderful mom and have made some great decisions regarding your girls. I work in a middle school and I WISH we had more parents like you that take a vested interest in their children and their well being!! After all, anyone that works in a school will tell you that it all starts and ends at home! You're doing a great job and it sounds like you are raising 2 spectacular young women!

Thank you. I get the feeling that some people think I am a bit extreme for pulling Alli out of school for so long, but I just sometimes freak out about things... I find the older my girls get the closer I get to them, and if anything were to ever happen to either of them - I would likely go insane. This was a topic of discussion at work the other day - so I know I am not alone in this. But... I did what I felt I had to do, and Josh was in agreement. My only regret is that maybe she missed out on some activities as school that were geared to help the kids grieve - but I am not sure about that? Thanks for your vote of confidence though. :flower3:

I am totally awestruck by your sewing abilities! I would love to learn to sew...but I guess if I'm going to do that I should probably start with stitching a straight line first! Your UPB's (and accessories) are adorable. I love the Minnie one...of course it helps that red is my favorite color! I am sure your bags will more than help you raise the funds for your trip.

I'm here for the long haul...I guess we all are! I can't wait to here more about your trip planning...and your bags of course!

THank you! :) That's all sewing is, just a straight line - with the occasional curve. You can do it, I know you can!

Hopefully I can get to trip planning soon... I hope to book our trip by the end of the year.

Hi D - This looks a lot liek our Eeyore. Ours is super soft and the tail can come off (well not really, it has a string). We got ours at the MOA Disney store about a year ago. They may still have some.

That is exactly the description of MM's Eeyore! I was just at the MOA TDS last week, V and I specifically looked through all their Eeyores, but they had none like MM's. :( Thanks for the suggestion though.

The Minnie bag gives the Dumbo bag some stiff competition! Love the eyelet on it. Gives it such a dainty touch.

LOL - thanks Tink - but we know how you feel about Minnie bags. ::yes::

***********************************************

No news to update about Alli's school - which is good. She will be going back on Monday. She is all caught up on her work - she has been working very hard this week and devoting most of the time she would be in school to doing the work she was given. I am very proud of her. She badly wants to make honor roll her entire high school career - and I am so proud of her for having that goal! Just having that goal - having the desire to achieve it and try her hardest is all the Josh and I ever ask of our girls... We don't expect them to bring home a 4.0 - we just ask that they try their hardest.

I apprieciate all the offers to get MM's Eeyore... I should have known that once I mentioned it in my PTR - he would be living in Eeyore heaven for the rest of his life. :crowded: I am so lucky to have such wonderful Dis friends!

I am still working on my custom order for this week. I am so very happy with how it's turning out... I really like it a lot - and I am in love with the fabrics, they fit the theme of the bag perfectly! I was hoping to be further along than I am right now... but the wallet applique is taking longer than I thought. I hope to have pictures of it posted this afternoon, but I don't think I will be done in time to make it in the mail today. :(

Once I finish that, I am debating what I want to do with the rest of my weekend... I would like to make a few more accessories to go with my SSP, but I am not sure which ones to do? Or which character to coordinate with? To be truthful - I am a bit sick of Mickey, Minnie & Donald (GASP!)... So, I may just go with the other 2 characters. But then I wonder what I should do... I am thinking a journal cover - I just LOVED having my journal cover on my journal on our trip, and without that journal, I wouldn't have been able to do my TR - I referenced it all the time. Then, I was thinking about doing a Water Bottle holder... I've had a few requests for those - and I do insulate them... But I am not sure. I could also do a couple of GAC pouches? I am just not sure about doing them, because if I put a nice applique on them - they get to be upwards of $50 each - and I think that is a lot of $$. Otherwise - I could take these last two days and make one more bag... :faint: Most likely - as long as I leave it to last, I could get a wallet/lanyard set done for it too.

^^^ So I would really love some opinions on that.

I hope you all have a wonderful weekend... I will be posting bags all weekend - so if you happen to stop by... :beach:

Oooh - I almost forgot... I need to do may "annual retail employee compalint post"...

Yup - rumor has it... Target will be opening at either

A) 6pm
B) 8pm
C) 10pm

On Thanksgiving day... Sigh.

The almighty dollar wins again... Thankfully - I don't have visiting family from overseas again this year.

While I used to be one of those Black Friday shoppers...I would never leave out before midnight! So sorry for you... Of course back when I used to do retail there was no one open before 8am! And I STILL hated doing it!

Nini

Yup - this one is my very favorite of all these bags... And V is having issues letting it go - but alas, I promised to make one for her, if she would like.

My favorite part about working with Goofy - I just love all the colors and all the ways I can make things work and change things to fit his personality, he is just a fun character! So many little details in this bag!

I really Really like the GAC, but I understand your problem! If you did another set, you could do Daisy...she is quite popular at the store! Of course Figment would always be a big seller in my honest opinion!;):rotfl:

Our store will be opening at midnight...I need to decide which shift I want to work because I want a chauffer to the mall that day...I hate parking then!

OMG!!! GOOFY IS AWESOME! Ok, how did you do the Orange zipper pull on the green zipper??? I would never be brave enough to attempt that...and it is such a wonderful little detail!

happy to hear Alli has done so well this week and got her homework completed! hope she will feel better about being back at school!

more cuteness in your Donald and Goofy bags!

bummer you will have to work on Thanksgiving again...just keep saying Disney $$!

OMG!!! The Goofy bag is amazing, it screams FUN :thumbsup2
Decisions, Decisions?!?
Before I read the text I thought of your daughter:)

Goofy is awesome too but you are teasing me! I want to see Pluto! I love the trim on the Goofy bag and the extra patch on the back side.

Eyelet material, that's what it's called. :rotfl:

I'm so glad that everything has calmed down at Alli's school. I hope all goes well when she goes back on Monday.

Just let me know if you want more Eeyores. I'm very willing to look.

As for an extra bag, I liked the suggestion of Daisy, she never gets enough love. Or how about Chip and Dale? I remember someone mentioning them on Facebook.

Wow, I missed a few days on your PTR and I'm like 10 pages behind. So sorry to hear about what's been going on in your dd's school and life. I hope that things begin to clear up and look more positive for and for the entire town. All your new bags are just amazing but I have to admit that I love Goofy the best. I have some of that orange dot fabric and some green dot fabric that is like it. I've been thinking of doing a Goofy themed dress with it and then I saw your Goofy bag. I love the fabric you picked for the lining and I really like how you used the green zipper. The whole bag is just awesome! You have so much creativity!

That's it...I am NO longer picking a favorite. Every time I do, you come and post another one that I fall in love with. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

Love the Donald and Goofy bags.

D~

Love te Goofy Bag! You are amazing wish I had 1/10 the talent you have :)

I am glad I stopped by on the weekend to get some upclose pictures of the goofy bag. LOVE the slanted pocket and the trim on the pocket. Of course the lining fabric is lovely. I am glad I don't have any fabrics from that collection because I would never use them. LOL.

So unnecessary for Target to be open on turkey day. 5:00 am on Friday is more than early enough.

I don't know if you can can "program" your dates on SW airlines but they will send out a general email saying when they open up the next dates available for booking. Sorry for the confusion.

As for what else to make I am not sure. I do like the water bottle holders. I made some for my kids and I love them. I also made a custom sized one to fit the thinner Corona Lite cans. :) Maybe a MK design, like the one you did with the castle???

LOVE the bags you've been posting.

My suggestion would be to either do the water bottle holders, some lanyard/wallet combo sets that DON'T go with a bag, and/or some VILLAINS themed somethings. I LOVED the villains line of the AG dresses you did (way back when) and I know there are a lot of people who would really like to purchase something showcasing their favorite character we all love to hate. Just my idea.

Sunshine

First, love the Donald and Goofy bags. I especially like the zipper on the diagonal for Goofy's bag!

Also, so glad Alli is shooting for honor roll for high school. That's a great goal for sure, and by the example of how she tackled her school work this past week, she has the drive to succeed at it too. Good for her!

I think a water bottle holder would be a great idea. And since I journal, I love that idea as well. I second the idea of getting into some of the villains. I'm sure you'll come up with more awesomeness!

As for Target being open on Thanksgiving, I think that stinks too! It must have been profitable for them last year or they wouldn't be doing it again this year. People...stay HOME on Thanksgiving!! Sheesh!

As for Target being open on Thanksgiving, I think that stinks too! It must have been profitable for them last year or they wouldn't be doing it again this year. People...stay HOME on Thanksgiving!! Sheesh!

Problem with it...not everyone will stay home. There's enough who will forgo a family Thanksgiving dinner (or maybe don't have family where they live), just to save a couple of hundred dollars on a 60 inch TV with WiFi and 3D.

It stinks for those who want to maintain the holiday tradition. At least my in-laws have a early Thanskgiving dinner (more like lunch).

I worked retail for two non-consecutive holiday seasons. One year at Sears, another year at Hobby Lobby. Fortunately, Hobby Lobby would never open before Friday morning around 7 AM (family first). However if Sears ever opened on Thursday night, and I was still working there, that would create problems. For one thing, Thanksgiving at my in-laws in Tennessee would be out. I'd either go up to my sister's house an hour away (and they have supper late...about 6 pm), or more likely cook a small turkey for myself. Or if it's really just me (with the rest of the family in Tennessee), just fry up a hamburger.

I wonder how many store employees really miss out on Thanksgiving dinner?

While I used to be one of those Black Friday shoppers...I would never leave out before midnight! So sorry for you... Of course back when I used to do retail there was no one open before 8am! And I STILL hated doing it!

Nini

It's OK... I guess I would rather go in and work my mandatory 4 hour shift at 6 or 8 pm, so that I can still go to bed that night... Last year - I think I worked at 4 am or something like that - and that threw my body out of whack for a week, I just couldn't get myself back on schedule.

I really Really like the GAC, but I understand your problem! If you did another set, you could do Daisy...she is quite popular at the store! Of course Figment would always be a big seller in my honest opinion!

I love you Lynn - you are so funny and always make me smile. :cloud9: Daisy is a very good idea... I cut out and started quilting another bag yesterday (after I finished my custom order) - since I was so stumped. I figure I will either add it to the end of these auctions or I will save it for Dec's auction if I don't complete it on time.

Well, for the zipper - I got a wild hair... I grabbed two of my zippers, and I just cut the end off of each of them, and rethreaded the zipper head on to the opposite zipper. Easy peasy - and Goofy... :thumbsup2

happy to hear Alli has done so well this week and got her homework completed! hope she will feel better about being back at school!

more cuteness in your Donald and Goofy bags!

bummer you will have to work on Thanksgiving again...just keep saying Disney $$!

Thanks!

It's alright, the $$ I make at Target actually goes into the family budget, but the discount I get - that goes into my Disney budget. :woohoo: To be honest - I love working the day after TG - it's my favorite day of the year to work... I just don't like this TG day stuff they are doing. :rolleyes1

OMG!!! The Goofy bag is amazing, it screams FUN
Decisions, Decisions?!?
Before I read the text I thought of your daughter

Thanks! Yah - V loves that bag, but she informed me that she will never carry a UPB. :confused3 She claims that it will never fit what she likes to carry in the parks... A poncho and flip-flops. LOL

Goofy is awesome too but you are teasing me! I want to see Pluto! I love the trim on the Goofy bag and the extra patch on the back side.

Eyelet material, that's what it's called.

Glad you like Goofy - he is my favorite of this set.

So far, so good at school - as far as I know... Alli is all set to go back tomorrow.

I will let you know about Eeyore.

Thanks for the suggestions... I did start cutting one out yesterday... If I finish it on time, it will go into this set of auctions, otherwise I will just save it for Dec's.

I LOVE Goofy! He's my favorite....I agree the colors for goofy are just so fun!

~Jennifer

Thanks Jennifer - I love that bag too... I didn't mean to make one of them "better than the rest" but it's so hard to do Goofy and not make it unique - ya know?

Thanks Diane! YOu have had a lot on your plate too, thanks for coming back to catch up, I know that sometimes my PTR moves faster than any PTR rightfully should...

I am not sure if you were following my other PTR... BUt I did make a couple of Goofy items for V to wear in Disney...

I made her a dress:

And a skirt:

Goofy adored her and her dress - I am not kidding when I say that he spent a LOT of time with her, and wouldn't let us leave... :rolleyes1

Both of which she loves and wants to wear again for this trip. :woohoo: We'll see if they still fit?

That's it...I am NO longer picking a favorite. Every time I do, you come and post another one that I fall in love with. :lmao:

Love the Donald and Goofy bags.

LOL Thanks Kathy... I won't make you pick favorites, I promise. You can like them all, if you want. LOL

Love te Goofy Bag! You are amazing wish I had 1/10 the talent you have :)

Thank you Sheila... And thanks for stopping by... Any news on your next trip yet?

I am glad I stopped by on the weekend to get some upclose pictures of the goofy bag. LOVE the slanted pocket and the trim on the pocket. Of course the lining fabric is lovely. I am glad I don't have any fabrics from that collection because I would never use them. LOL.

Thanks Liz. :) LOL about the fabrics... It is one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite designers, and it's VHTF now... Whenever I see some, I try to snap it up, because I have yet to find anything that great that fits Goofy so well. And since V loves Goofy so much...

So unnecessary for Target to be open on turkey day. 5:00 am on Friday is more than early enough.

Agreed.

I don't know if you can can "program" your dates on SW airlines but they will send out a general email saying when they open up the next dates available for booking. Sorry for the confusion.

Ok - I will check into it. Thanks for all the info.

As for what else to make I am not sure. I do like the water bottle holders. I made some for my kids and I love them. I also made a custom sized one to fit the thinner Corona Lite cans. :) Maybe a MK design, like the one you did with the castle???

Hmmm... LOL There's an idea. :rolleyes1

Sunshine

Thanks Sunshine... OOh that's a good idea... I might be able to get some random Wallet/Lanyard sets done?

Sheesh!

Thanks Lois! :) Yah - I hope both of my girls have that goal... V is very close to B honor roll right now, and I would be beyond extatic if she got it - because she has to work so much harder than Alli to achieve good grades.

I really want to do a journal cover - I just don't know who to do it for... I'd love to add more accessories on to the Goofy set, because it turned out so nice...

I agree about TG... I was surprised when we walked into Kohls yesterday and it was FULL CHRISTMAS MODE - decorations and all. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE it, since I am in such a holiday mood - but WOW!

**************************************************

I was able to finish up mu custom order yesterday, but not in time for the PO to still be open. :( I hope to have nice sunny weather, so that I can take some pictures and post them today.

I also started cutting out another auction bag. If I finish it in time, I will add it to the end of these auctions, if not, I will put it on Dec's auction.

I got a wild hair yesterday afternoon - I was so sick of this house... I came downstairs, and told the girls we were leaving. LOL And we left (if you've ever tried to "just leave" with two teen aged girls - there's no such thing)...

We decided to meet up with my BFF, we went out for a very late lunch at Jimmy Johns, then to Kohls... The girls talked me into buying them new fall jackets - theirs were, ummm... 3 or 4 years old and quite ratty looking. Then we went to Ulta, and V got a couple of things with her own $$. And we came home... We were gone just long enough to get me out of the house for a while. :thumbsup2

I got a message from my foster-mom on FB last night, they are in the Cities for the weekend... I haven't seen them in almost a year - which is pretty sad because we are quite close. So, I am pretty sure we are headed up to the MOA to meet up with them today. The girls haven't seen them since this summer. I need another day off from sewing anyways.... :crazy2: We were planniing to do a little shopping today anyways... We need to find a gift for Josh's brother and get it in the mail asap, or it won't make it to The Netherlands in time for Christmas... I already have gifts for my SIL... :woohoo:

I will be posting pictures shortly of my last bag for Crazy Days...

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday. :cloud9:

This is my second favorite... I just love the colors and all the fabrics. :thumbsup2
