Audible 101

Can someone give me some quick help please? We are driving over 2000 miles and thought that an audible book or two might be really nice. But, where is the best place to get them? Audible or Amazon or somewhere else and how does the whole subscription process work - do I download them to my Iphone - does it take data? Sorry I haven't a clue obvious... Thanks.

My library offers books on tape (or disk). You can look into that. I also know Cracker Barrel offers books on tape that you can 'return' at another store and get partial credit. I know Amazon also offers them that you can download to your device.

I as going to say the library too. Apple does have audio books you can download onto your device and then play. It takes data to download them but not to play them I believe.

My only cautionary tail is when I had an audio book, many years ago, playing it through a Walkman on a train journey it set me off to sleep - twice! I just found the narrators voice so soothing.

Amazon owns Audible, so either place. There is a handy Audible app you can use on your iPhone. If you go to Audible or Amazon's webpage, it explains the process.
