On a auction, I say "I offer 2 ice cubes!" Can the owner/auctioner say that he/she doesn't like the bid?! No one told me that b4. :confused3

In official auctions, no, the auctioner can not. The auctioner can however higher someone to bid higher than you, but if they don't like the bid that much that they go to that extreme, someone has probably bid over it by then. Now, I'm not sure how VMK auctions compare to official auctions, but I think it's the same general rule.

The only thing I'm offering is ice cubes. And everyone says "No." I don't know why? Aren't ice cubes rare? :confused3

if you offer 2 ice on something like a wanted poster that would be bad for the auctinr

Ice cubes were a one month only item, but they were also relativly easy to get. People still use them for building, but most of the time they ask for 5-10 or more. That might be why you're not having much luck at the auction house. Also, it may depend on what you are offering for. A lot of the rarer items usually require rare items in return. For instance, a seagull hat may require Holiday items, costumes, quest items, or certain magic that is hard to find. Although these aren't necessarily required (depending upon who is auctioning) you would need much more common items to get these, probably into the "exceeding trade limit" area of over 15. Pretty much, getting rare items requires merchanting, which is getting a fair amount of a 1 time item (that is usually costly, such as a costume or bat magic,) waiting until it is no longer on sale (and perhaps then a little while longer than that) and then trading that item for a rare item (or maybe even more than one, depending upon the rarity :teeth: .)

I only have 11 ice cubes. Also, that us the only rare I have. If you count Narnia teleporters then two.

Then, if you plan on merchanting, you should start with the POTC costumes. Also, see if you can find anyone to trade semi-rare things for some common things, and work your way up the ladder o' rarity until you can start merchanting for the rare stuff.

Well LIGHTNZINGZ offered Wanted poster, and something else for all 11 ice. Should of I accepted it?

Probably, since Wanted Poster is only attainable from a park. Although I would ask to see if you can substitute something for some of the ice, so that way you still have ice if you need it later. Anyways, since the Wanted poster is from the park only, you might get some good trades from people who live no where near the parks. But really, it's up to you.

It seems that vmk auction owners make their own rules. My guess its alot like a reserve auction on eBay. But when my brother scooterjake and I had a vmk auction room we ran it much like the real deal. Sit the item down, ppl bid and the gavel comes down. But in other vmk auctions, people are so obsessed with "rare" that they refuse to trade for store items. Scooterjake and our mom work a real auction Friday nights, our mom clerks for the auctioneer. An item comes up for bids........and when the gavel goes down the item is sold. The only way the item is not sold is if the estate owner is present and does not want that item sold at a lower price. The auctioneer can not determine final selling price, nor can he withdraw the item, or hire anyone to bid on said items.

If we do another vmk auction room bring your ice to us, we love it!

I heart ice. Let me know what you are looking for and maybe we can make a deal. :)
