Hello,

Any one that has ever been how do you rate it?
Character Interaction?
Food?
Value for money?

I know it is 5 months away and the trip isn't even booked yet but looking at going in March for my daughters birthday.

Also who am I likely to see there? x

Hi.

You could take a look at this thread:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1218528

I've only been once and felt really let down as we only met Cinderella and Aurora. However, I think I was just really unlucky :sad2: I think most people meet 3 or 4 princesses. My little girl still loved it but I didn't think it was worth the money.

Hope this helps.

:flower3:

We are planning to go in late Nov. I can write a review when we get back. I am taking my 1 and almost 4 year old daughters. :goodvibes

Hi,

We have been twice, and absolutely loved it, although having said that I think that it has changed since we were there last year.

When we went, photographs and unlimited wine were included in the price, but I think these are no longer included? :confused3

What made it worth the money for me was the character interaction with our daughter (princess obsessed) :cloud9:, but I am not sure you will get this same benefit while your daughter is so young? (ours was 4).

We also enjoyed the fact that it was quite a leisurely meal (in there 2 hours, but that wouldn't have been possible if DS(2) hadn't been asleep), again would this happen with a one year old?

We met Ariel, Belle and Sleeping Beauty, and the second time Ariel, Belle and Snow White, plus cinderella both times, and a prince.

The food was nice, but you are definately paying for it! I'm not sure we will bother again next year, as the value for money seems to have decreased, and if we do, it definately won't be the four of us that go, probably just me and DD, as a very special treat! princess:

Thanks every one have any of you also done inventions and could compare and say which you prefer?

We went to cafe Mickey 2 weeks ago and had the most amazing time we were there for 2 and half hours and Elsie was an angel.

We had the most amazing character interaction even captain hook got all soft with her it was amazing! Also the character interaction we got in the park was amazing!

I just really want to see the princesses I thought this was a guaranteed way to meet princesses like the ones they have in WDW.

In that case I would say definately go, there is no better way to meet the princesses, and you really do get some quality time with them. They are really attentive, and even remembered our childrens names every time they passed the table again. It would be a lovely memorable way to celebrate her birthday!

Go ::yes:: although I've only been to Auberge before they started doing the Princess meal, the restaurant alone is worth going for as it's beautiful in there. Even if Elsie won't remember it, you'll have lovely memories of her 1st birthday. :cloud9:

Have a look at Adam's (rottie155) trip reports as he's been a few times.

Take a look at the trip reports in my signature I'm sure I've done auberge although I think people have said it's changed alot since our last trip in Feb. We won't be doing it this time around as there's just so many other places we want to eat :goodvibes

Oh no last night I decided to do Cafe Mickey and Inventions I really want to go here again now lol! xxx

not enough money lol! I dont mind if it gets raving reviews all round but to pay that much then the food not be any thing to get excited about then Im not sure we love Cafe Mickey and I have heard so many good things about inventions so we are definitely going there if we can afford to do any more we may try here.

I've been on Friday.

Characters there were Belle and the Beast, Aurora and Cinderella plus the two mice. I always seem to meet Belle and/or Aurora there for some reason.

I've seen Snow White there twice this year (once with the Prince) and Tiana once, and Ariel with Eric once.

I agree, the princesses are really attentive. They came back to my table several times. Beast even started talking to me about pins when he saw I had the Princess Designer pins on my lanyard. ;)

The photo package and the wine are indeed gone. You get water (your choice of still or sparkling) and a soft drink.

The price has gone up to 60 Euro though. The starters have changed. It's now a "pumpkin special" (which was some sort of cold pumpkin soup and I am pretty sure it must have contained lobster or something after all because I reacted slightly allergic to it), duck and salmon. For the desserts they switched out one of the items against some pistacchio mousse which I did not like at all.

I've taken new food pictures, should be added to the linked review topic tonight or tomorrow.

I've also been to the Princess pavillion. Seeing it's your daughter's birthday I'd definitely take her to the meal instead.

At the pavillion you're only guaranteed one princess, and you won't know who it is (unless she walks right past you like Belle did on Sunday ). On Saturday I met Ariel and Mulan there - I was over the moon seeing Mulan, but boy, the little girl before me was not happy at all. :sad2:

I've done Inventions too and actually prefer the Sunday brunch there a little over this meal. But that is mainly because they have Lilo and Stitch there and I'm a huge fan. Also their dessert buffet is to die for.

so the price has gone up but you get less for your money :/?

Yes, I am afraid so. I don't know how recent the price change to 60 Euro is. The menu I got had a sticker taped on with the new price.

Last time I had been in July (they had taken photo and wine away already at that point) and they had already raised the price to 56.20 Euro then. I think we paid 52.40 or something in March, but definitely less than 56.

I've been to inventions and it was very good value, with excellent food and good character interaction.:thumbsup2

I think we will defiantly be doing inventions I really though Auberge de cendrilon was going to be like Akershus where you were more likely to meet all the princesses x

Just for those going soon the back dancefloor area is closed off so it is very cramped in the rest of the restaurant.

Out of interest, is it best to book the character meals when the parade isn't on? I'm guessing that during the parade the characters are a bit busy! The Auberge is towards the top of my list because my nieces are princess obsessed but I think we'll go for one of the others as well. Which is a better contrast, Cafe Mickey or Inventions?

none of the characters, including the Princesses, are around in the restaurants when the OUAD parade is on (because the Princesses are needed for the parade :)).

The character meal at Inventions doesn't start until 6pm, and Cafe Mickey, although its open earlier than 6pm, doesn't have its characters there either until 6pm. Auberge de Cendrillon isn't open while the OUAD parade is going on.
