I'm putting together some ideas for a "WDW for people of size" section at WDWinfo.com

I can use my own experiences, but as we all know, it's usually better to have lots of experiences to draw on!

If you are pooh-sized, and wouldn't mind sharing your experiences with me in order to help others, please either e-mail me (snackystacky@adelphia.net) or PM me. Be sure to include your height, weight, and measurements that are appropriate to whatever ride you're talking about. You can share your name, or you can request to remain anonymous. And remember, I'm going to need information for every last attraction, ride, and show on that entire 47 square miles!!! So as many as you can list would be AWESOME!

Thank you so much in advance! :)

I'm not really pooh sized but I just wanted to say that everyone should be warned that Astro Orbiters is NOT for people with bad legs, knees, tall folks, big folks etc.

I'm not even that tall and I felt so horribly cramped on that ride and my knees hurt for the rest of the day.

I am definitely willing to share when I get back. I haven't been to Disney in 22 years and I was a kid, so I wasn't Pooh-sized then, but I am now.

I'll be sure to write as much down as I can and email you when I get back. I'm going July 3-12.

This is such a great thing you are doing! Thank you so much!

Thank you Disrookie! I really appreciate the time and effort you're going to put in. As well many others!

And thank you too EsmeraldaX! :) You spared me some pain. Even though I lost my weight, I'm still tall and will know to avoid Astro Orbiter.

My husband I were approaching "pooh sized" on our visit in 2002.... we will talk about it soon and get back to you with some info. BTW, I know there there maybe some info over on the "DIS-abilities" board about this subject..................P

Unfortunately I have become very "Pooh" sized. I will try to remember to take notes and report back when I go at the beginning of July.

yes, this is especially true when one slightly "pooh-sized" person, and one not quite "pooh-sized" - but, almost person try to jam themselves into one ride vehicle. Definitely a memorable  experience to say the least :)

I think it should include seating in restaurants,Disney transportation and seating at live shows.Because Pooh sized folks will be using this seating at Disney also.I think this is a great thread and if folks will share, can be a great source of information to share with others here on the Dis.::yes:: :wave2:

Thank you everyone! Keep them coming!

And Danny's right. Include anything else you want to. Restaurants, transportation, shows........

Usually the only things that stick out in our minds are the bad experiences, but please also tell me where there wasn't a problem.

DH and were both commenting on the Universal Studios Mummy ride. Anyone Pooh sized may have a problem. We were thinking those seats are even more limited than an airplane seat. So if anyone has trouble in those....
The mummy has molded seats you sit in with a body type bar that pulls down.
You don't have to crawl in and out. They are more like seats. But they are a molded one size fits most.

Not exactly pooh sized (6'3"-295#), but I am larger than usual. I am leaving in 2 weeks will give a full report upon my return!:D

I'm most definatly 'pooh-sized' but I'm not going to WDW until november. However, I will report back on my return if it's of any use!!!

I must admit, I didn't have too much trouble on any of the rides the last time I went (in 1999) but I've had a child since and put on more weight so it should be interesting!!!:p

That said, I'm on a low GI diet (recommended by my Dr) at the moment and hope to be back into my 1999 jeans by then!!!!!! ;) :teeth:
