ATTN: Disneymommy2006...I need your help, please!!!

One more question (I wonder how many times I'll type that!!)

I tried to upload the files onto Walmarts website to print them off in a photo book, but it wouldn't let me since they weren't JPEG files. So I tried to change them to JPEG files, and they went from this:
newd1.png

to this:
newd1-1.jpg

Do you know what in the world I did?? Or how I should change your files to JPeG files w/o getting the black background??? thanks again

That is way beyond me...I have no idea???Maybe you could just start another thread with that question. There are lots of people on the boards that are more technological than I am and I'm sure someone here would know! Sorry but I just don't know...

no problem! I posted the same question on another thread, just thinking you might know.......

thanks anyway!!

You didn't do anything wrong. The images have no background so it shows up black in some programs. I realized this last night while loading these into microsoft task master to print for my goddaughter. I have no idea how to fix it.I can only print them out in my printmaster program.

Not sure if this will help anyone with this problem but I inserted these into Word before I sent it to Staples.

Yikes!! I'm sure I don't have that program. Thanks for your help, maybe another designer might know?? :confused3 I'll just copy your answer onto another thread, cause I don't exactly know how to even explain it!!

I wish I had a Staples close by. I was going to upload it to Walmart and have them put it in a photobook for me (they could put it in a hard cover and make it really look like a ABC book) but they only take JPGs. I'll keep working at it!

I hope someone has a way to help. It is much easier for me to load the pages and hit print in Microsoft than to copy them one at a time in printmaster.

That worked!!! Honestly, if you have time (my boys are 7 & 4 too---so I know there's not a lot of extra time in the day :rotfl: ) that would be wonderful. If not I can keep working at it.......I'm sure it will take a lot of your time to have to save those pages the different way!!

ETA--

Thanks anyway but when I tried to upload the one you did into a Walmart photobook, the design is too large to fit into their book. So my brilliant idea didn't work.

Thanks for offering to do it anyway!!

I might just see if my Kinkos will print out the pages for me, but I've heard they are sticklers about printing Disney pages. We'll see!! Thanks so much!
Beth

Hi again!!

I've put the boys to bed and I'm trying to work on this tonight.......can you tell me how you inserted the files into word documents?? I tried just right clicking and then copying and pasting.......but it isn't working for me. I think I might just have too old of a Microsoft edition to do that in.

If you could let me know what you did that would be great!

I tried uploading them as is to Kinkos website but they wouldn't take them, I think because they are a PNG image and not in word. :confused3 But I could be totally wrong---we all know how computer NON-savy I am. :rotfl: thanks

The way I did it was:
1. I saved the png files in My Pictures in a folder that I named Will's ABC book-just name it something so you know where to find it
2. Then once all the "letters" were saved, I opened Word and clicked on insert , then picked picture from that drop down box, next I picked from a file from the next drop down box...
3. Finally I found the folder from My pictures, opened it and picked the letter or cover that I wanted to insert into the word document.
4. At Staples you needed to put them in the correct order in the Word document so you may want to be sure and do that for Kinkos.
Hope this is clear and it helps!!!

I got it!! Thanks so much! Did you have them print it on thicker paper than regular printer paper?

Actually I had them print the front page and back page on card stock the the others on regular paper... Let me give you a little heads up- I originally did a 4 by 6 size booklet and had them to cut the pages however the finished product was off centered. I mentioned this to one of the Staples employees today when I picked up something else today...it also had a weird spot on the cover. He told me to re-send it and he suggested that I do it as full pages rather than 1/2 pages (4x6). I told him I would be happy to pay the difference if it cost more to have it on larger paper and he said no....there would be no extra charge for them to reprint it. There is 100% satisfaction guarantee. So you may want to consider doing full pages??? I'll let you know how it turns out- I think I can pick it up tomorrow afternoon. Sorry for the ramble but I thought you might want to know...

I'm glad you mentioned that!! I did save them 2 to a page, trying to save paper. Let me know which one you think is better!
