How are the crowds this week? Anybody know how bad it will be this weekend and next week?
Just wondering if all of the hurricanes postponed trips till now.

I'd like to hear the answer to this also. This board, and friends who went, said last weekend was pretty crowded. All I know about next weekend is, I called CRO yesterday to see if we could add Saturday to the beginning of our reservation (we were planning on arriving on Sunday originally) and we were able to add a room for Saturday night at Riverside, with an AP rate, with no problem. So, I'm holding out hope this weekend and next week will be a little slower.

Edited to add, I waited until last week to call for PS's and I also haven't had any problems getting them within 10 minutes of the requested time. I'm taking all of this as signs for optimism!

My SIL and her family just returned from a trip last weekend and said the crowds were way up; I don't know if these crowds will last until next weekend, but with MNSSHP and the F&WF, I bet they will.

I just got back Sunday and the crowds last week were unbelieveable. Several CM's told me that they expect crowds to be way above average due to people delaying their trips because of the hurricanes. However, they said it was even more crowded than expected. It was alittle disappointing because we would counting on lower crowds but oh well, it was still Disney.:hyper: :hyper:

There is a very large convention (Garter Technology) going on right now (around 10,000 people). During the day, most of these people are attending conference seminars. In the evenings, they go out to play. Yesterday, I tried to make a delivery to the Dolphin and they were turning everything but buses away. They had special parking lots set up a ways away and were shuttling people back and forth. I went to meet people for dinner last night at Boardwalk and ended up parking at DTD and riding the bus over because I couldn't get into the Boardwalk parking lot. I doubt that this group is making to much of a difference during the day, but they are definately affecting things at night. The conference ends on Friday.

We're just back as well and it was DEFINITELY more crowded than usual. On our last day we had till close to 3:00 in the parks. I finished packing and we hopped on the monorail from the Poly about 10:15. My sons wanted to do Jungle Cruise, Pirates and Buzz before we left. Jungle Cruise and Pirates both had lines out of the queue area and into the general areas in front of them. We managed to get fast passes for Jungle Cruise and were fortunate enough that another guest gave us their Buzz fast passes as they were heading out but we didn't even attempt to ride anything else, we did shows. The lines were just too long. I was alone with my 2 and 4 year old sons so I wasn't goign to attempt to stand in line with them for 40 minutes to an hour for ANYTHING. Earlier in our trip we even had to stand in line at the carousel. I have NEVER had to do that, even Christmas week we never had to wait more than just one go round. Our first night was a MNSSHP night so when the MK closed we went to Epcot along with everyone else on earth apparantly. I have never seen World Showcase so crowded, again even during Christmas week it wasn't that bad. Between the F&F Fest. and MNSSHP sending people out of MK it was a madhouse.

I'm not saying overall it's more crowded than Christmas week...not by a long shot. But it's far from the "low to moderate" crowds we were expecting. On the days where we were able to go early we did fine and didn't have bad waits but once it got to be about 11:00, the crowds started pouring in and wait times got long quickly. Most of the "big stuff" had wait times of around 45 minutes.

The good news was that MNSSHP was great for getting stuff done without crowds! We went on the 17th and had a fabulous time! We even walked on to Buzz and got to go through a second time with no wait.

It's definitely more crowded, but if you go early and make good use of fast pass you'll do fine! It's still Disney so you'll still have a fabulous time!

I just got back last night. On Friday I went to MGM and then to MK for Wishes & Spectro. Parks were not that crowded - no waits longer than 20 minutes. (And that was ToT and RnR standby lines). Saturday did Animal Kingdom and Studios again in evening for Fantasmic. AK was not crowded. Studios seemed a little busy. Sunday did Epcot - it was PACKED PACKED PACKED!!!! Haven't seen that many people there since the millenium. Obviously food & wine festival is bringing in a lot of people (it's so much fun!). Monday was also busy at Epcot (thought it would get better but it didn't) And studios was not busy on Monday at all.

Yesterday MK seemed EMPTY at about 1-3. Yesterday it also got really really hot and humid. The other days were perfection weather wise. Hope that helps.
